US Trump set to go on Joe Rogan’s podcast

Former President Donald Trump is expected to record an interview with podcasting behemoth Joe Rogan on Friday.

The interview will take place at Rogan’s studio in Austin, Texas, according to a person familiar with the plans who was granted anonymity to discuss the matter.

Rogan, who has more than 14 million followers on Spotify, has long occupied the top positions in national podcast ratings, and Trump’s appearance on his show continues the campaign’s push to win young male voters. In recent weeks, Trump has appeared on such male-friendly podcasts as “This Week w/ Theo Vaughn” and “Full Send,” a show hosted by the pro-Trump Nelk Boys.

Trump has never appeared on Rogan’s podcast and the two have had a complicated relationship. In August, Trump called out Rogan after the podcaster claimed that politicians on both sides are manipulative except for Robert Kennedy Jr., who at the time was running for president.

"It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024" Trump posted of Rogan, who is a UFC commentator.

Rogan himself has been critical of Trump in the past. In July 2022, he called the former president an “existential threat to democracy.” Yet Rogan has more recently been complimentary of Trump, saying last month that the economy under Trump “did really well and he really did try to cut some of the bullshit down that's going on in this country."

Trump and Rogan have also had friendly moments in recent months, such as when they have greeted each other at UFC events. The two also have mutual allies — a group that includes RFK, who endorsed Trump after dropping his presidential bid, and tech billionaire Elon Musk.

Vice President Kamala Harris has also reportedly been in talks to go on Rogan’s podcast. A Harris spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment on her plans.

Trump is making a mistake here, Rogan is a libertarian faggot who will go full libtard if it's to virtue signal or make money. Rogan is fun to watch and says based shit sometimes, but at his core he's a bitch, certainly no patriot.

I'll be honest reason and libertarians are really the only people you'll get fair coverage and actual journalism from on both sides of the issue. Reason for all of its bias and flaws is one of the few outlets that didn't completely sell off its integrity like the drudge report.

Rogan is a bitch at his core, but this has already been tested with several of his orbiters and they haven't been cancelled. Joe is backed into a corner and there is nothing he can say to Trump that other more hostile journalists haven't tried to pull. The ability to pull up and validate Trump's statements on the fly, however, could be a huge boost for Trump's credibility. Joe Rogan is not a turbofaggot, he will argue his opinion but still listen to what Trump has to say.

We'll see, I guess. Even if he's not as hostile as traditional journalists it's more about the audience. CNN shredding Trump is probably less damning because there's not a soul watching who is seriously still undecided, whereas the Rogan audience probably can be swayed.

All it takes is painting Trump in a merely unfavorable light and Trump delivering a subpar performance to lose potential votes with probably the only audience that he might still be able to squeeze something out of this late in the game. He stands to lose more than he stands to win imo. I hope Trump is on his game.

Yeah, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested, but it's just a tactical error or at least a very risky gamble. Look at Harris, she only goes on the friendliest of shows, even Fox only did the minimum of asking her real questions politely.

I wonder if we'll see states start to pull out of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. Probably not after this election but if this really is a realignment to the Seventh Party System and the GOP wins two elections in a row with the popular vote I could see some states having second thoughts.
