Former President Donald Trump is expected to record an interview with podcasting behemoth Joe Rogan on Friday.

The interview will take place at Rogan’s studio in Austin, Texas, according to a person familiar with the plans who was granted anonymity to discuss the matter.

Rogan, who has more than 14 million followers on Spotify, has long occupied the top positions in national podcast ratings, and Trump’s appearance on his show continues the campaign’s push to win young male voters. In recent weeks, Trump has appeared on such male-friendly podcasts as “This Week w/ Theo Vaughn” and “Full Send,” a show hosted by the pro-Trump Nelk Boys.

Trump has never appeared on Rogan’s podcast and the two have had a complicated relationship. In August, Trump called out Rogan after the podcaster claimed that politicians on both sides are manipulative except for Robert Kennedy Jr., who at the time was running for president.

"It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024" Trump posted of Rogan, who is a UFC commentator.

Rogan himself has been critical of Trump in the past. In July 2022, he called the former president an “existential threat to democracy.” Yet Rogan has more recently been complimentary of Trump, saying last month that the economy under Trump “did really well and he really did try to cut some of the bullshit down that's going on in this country."

Trump and Rogan have also had friendly moments in recent months, such as when they have greeted each other at UFC events. The two also have mutual allies — a group that includes RFK, who endorsed Trump after dropping his presidential bid, and tech billionaire Elon Musk.

Vice President Kamala Harris has also reportedly been in talks to go on Rogan’s podcast. A Harris spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment on her plans.

He's just doing victory laps now. The universe won't let him lose to a woman for some reason, and he knows it.
It's something I've noticed recently. In this cycle I feel like they are winning 5-0 and they know they are winning 5-0. For the DNC, it's already awful to know that you are losing but it's even worse when your opponents start toying with you.

Trump and Co. are just doing trickshots and 360 no-scopes for fun at this point. I've noticed less "hatred" and more "mocking" of their opponents and the media lately.

I think I'm the only person who believes this is a bad idea. It seems like a farm for out-of-context sound bites that may be ran for two weeks by Trump's opponents. Neither Rogan nor his tard-handler Jamie actually like Trump, and at least one of them seems like the type who would jump in front of a bullet train if it tanked Trump's electability.

Kamala most likely lied about working at mcdonalds seeing how zero proof other than some friend saying "yeah, she totally worked there", Trump turned that into a fucking iconic 10 minute stunt in Mcdonalds on this cocksuckign whore's 60th birthday. Should have been ignored as what it was, just a stunt, who cares, some iconic photos, some fun memes, laugh it off ffs. But nope. Almost all of the media came out, in fucking unison to "set the record straight" that Trump wasn't actually working at Mcdonalds, it was a campaign stunt and the Mcdonalds was closed. Its been in the news for FOUR days now. Trump/Vance is playing with them at this point, if everything holds this going to be a campaign for the record books.

I'm nervous as fuck over it tbh. Rogan is a huge fan of Kennedy, and a fan of Tulsi, both in trump's cadre now. I can't see him really doing Trump dirty for jsut that reason.

Yeah but how is that different from the last 8 years? I mean, Trump has gone to multiple hostile interviews and gave plenty of sound bites that are shown to not be sticking anymore.

At worst, he is just going to be asked about J6 for the 10583th time. Best outcome is Joe realizing that a Kamala presidency spells doom for anyone who isn't a migrant or an elite.

Dana would also play Rogan like an accordion if he made Trump look bad. Funniest case scenario is Jamie goes off the reservation, backstabbing Rogan.

I can't even imagine why the DNC would want to steal this one. Biden in is elder state is probably manageable. Kamala is known to be a diva behind closed doors, and looks like a moron out in the open. If she's supposed to be a puppet, she is probably the worst kind.

They might just throw this one to Trump out of sheer frustration.

I don't think Rogan has the balls to let Trump get too political, they'll probably just spend time talking about Trump's teetotaler stances and UFC and shit like that. The furthest Rogan may go is talking about the border, but he doesn't take firm stances himself and isn't having a counter voice on the show so I doubt he's going to let Trump turn it into a campaign podcast.

It'll still be entertaining though, both of them are seasoned entertainment personalities with a lot to talk about besides politics.

She's actually been doing a lot of interviews lately, on television, the radio, and podcasts, once the "Hide Kamala" strategy started going south. Unfortunately for them, once they stopped hiding her things got far worse for them. Things went from stagnant to trending straight down.
The issue with Kamala is she really doesn't do well when confronted or asked basic questions. I think the length of Rogan's interviews in particular will scare her off. She prefers doing shorter interviews so she can just repeat rehearsed lines her aids have given her. If the interview lasts more than an hour there's definitely a chance she'll slip up and start saying something really stupid.

Trump by comparison prefers doing conversational non confrontational interviews. Which Joe Rogan excels at since he somewhat notoriously doesn't really question or confront his guests. He's not going to "fact check" anything Trump says and will probably end up agreeing with most of his points. It's really a win/win for both Trump and Rogan and will make Kamala look bad for chickening out.
All memes and personal hopes aside, who actually do we think will win this election?
I would be genuinely surprised if Kamala wins. Swapping out your candidate two months before election is fucking unheard of. Especially to a candidate who got like 4% of the vote when she tried running.

There’s no way Kamala goes on an unscripted and uncontrolled podcast interview.
I'll do you one better, there's no way her handlers will allow Rogan to discuss the fact that they want a scripted and controlled podcast because the first thing they did before talking to him was make him sign a bunch of NDAs to protect her public image. Whether he signed those or not & stopped before step 1 remains to be seen.

My predictions for the podcast both parties will actually talk personal issues. Trump will probably be drinking a diet coke or soda and fast food while Joe's smoking a blunt.
Trump will be a teetotaler which will actually legitimately shock Joe. I expect them both to talk about issues, Trump will probably talk about the assassination, I will be honest you will probably have an interesting interview never the less.
