I don't know if I should have posted here or in the Kayne West thread but John Derbyshire ranted about Tucker Carlson's interview with Kayne West.
https://vdare.com/articles/john-der...osed-regime-s-rampant-social-credit-canceling His rant is also mirrored on Unz.com where some comments might give some chuckles.

My normal routine on a weekday evening is to sit down to dinner at 7:30, eat steadily for half an hour while making light conversation with Mrs. Derbyshire and such family members or friends as may be present; then, at 8 o’clock, move to the living-room, usually clutching my half-eaten dessert, switch on the TV, and watch Tucker Carlson’s show.

Friday evenings I’m under pressure to get my podcast finished and posted. I don’t let that interfere with my normal routine, though. I have to eat dinner; and, having eaten it, I have to sit still and do something undemanding while my digestive tract grinds through its work. There aren’t many things less demanding than watching TV; so, the eating done and digestion well under way, I watch Tucker before returning to my podcast labors.

I don’t always watch the whole show. If I’m behind with the podcast I cut out at the first commercial break; or later, if Tucker starts talking about flying saucers, I quit right there.

Well, last Friday Tucker started in not with his monologue as usual, but with an interview. The interviewee was Kanye West.

I knew the name Kanye West because it shows up in New York Post headlines, attached to stories that I skip right over. I knew he was some kind of celebrity, and I think I knew that he was showbiz, not sports. That was the sum total of my Kanye West knowledge last Friday evening. I don’t have to engage with celebrity culture, and you can’t make me.

I sat through the first few minutes of the show, but neither Tucker nor West said anything interesting, so I went to my study and recorded some podcast.

Around 8:30 p.m., by which point Tucker has generally finished with his first segment and is halfway through his second, I stopped by the living-room to see what Tucker was covering in that second segment. To my surprise he was still sitting across from Kanye West asking him questions. I watched for a minute or two, again heard nothing interesting, went back to my study.

Apparently Tucker gave over that entire hour to the interview with Kanye West, a thing he very rarely does. Why? West didn’t seem very smart or eloquent. The few minutes I caught of him actually speaking, he was mumbling gibberish. I did some lookups on the internet.

So now I know who Kanye West is. He’s a rapper.

I've been watching Tucker for a while, I'm not sure if he got a new writer or something, but he's really been calling out people in the past few months. He'll have 1 or 2 milquetoast shows, then he'll just straight up call out that a Democrat Congressmans son was found repeatedly acting with Antifa for example. Pointing out a portion of Antifa is made up of the children of upperclass progessives.

I'm so used to how TV news works I was like "whoa you can't say that on TV Tucker, you want to get shot?"

Tucker calls out the obvious (again) and claims that the whole George Santos situation is the latest distraction to keep Americans ignored about the ongoing classified documents situation with Joe Biden and other mainstream media outlets like CNN and MSNBC profiting off of it like it’s nothing.

Even if Santos did lie or make up statements about his past, how is this more disastrous than a Chinese spy ballon not being shot down in fear of U.S. war officials not wanting to offend the Chinese government?

I’ve kept up a little with the whole dominion lawsuit stuff on libtard Twitter.

I’m really not sure what the narrative is-they dislike Trump for…reasons? They uh didn’t want to offend their own audience?

Can anyone explain pls.

Looking at the article, Tucker Carlson seems more concerned that the election stuff might have had repercussions on Fox News, as well as his colleagues and himself.

There’s no indication as to why he “hates him passionately”?

I'm 90% sure the spy balloon thing was more about being shot down in a place where the US military could easily recover the data without anyone else getting access to it first, hence why it got shot down over water instead of on land.

As opposed to the thousands upon thousands of square miles of federal lands it floated over before they shot it down?

No surprises here, but it’s actually pretty concerning that people really think Tucker Carlson is a propagandist for daring to say that Jan. 6th was not an “insurrection” nor a “riot”, but just a peaceful protest that got out of hand.

If this were a sane and honest world that we lived in, Tucker would be awarded a Pulitzer Prize for daring to tell the truth in a literal storm of mainstream-approved lies that were being handed into by bigwigs that control the major corporations that America knows of today (Universal/Disney, etc.)

Apparently The Glowies Anonymous has hacked Tucker Carlson Twitter account.
"Anonymous" collapsed as an effective hacktivist group when all of their major players went to prison or became FBI informants. It's really no mystery now why all the anonym00se accs on Twitter do nothing but regurgitate CIA talking points these days

If these people were at all the legitimate activists that they claim to be (and once were) they would be using the recent bank bailouts situation to organize occupy 2.0 but they won't because they're feds.

One article tell a different song.

Well, it’s safe to say that few people are triggering the left more these days than Tucker Carlson. He seems to be besting even Donald Trump in that category. The left will never forgive the Fox News host for releasing the J6 footage, shattering the liberal media’s narrative of the day’s events.

But if you thought he was done getting the “woke” party flipping their wigs, think again. It seems the newsman is fond of mocking liberals who use their Twitter bios to virtue signal. That little space above their feed is prime real estate for trumpeting your causes and leftist allegiances. So, Tucker couldn’t help but beat them at their own game.

Sorry for the double post but the guys of American Thinker posted this rant about Tucker Carlson newest speech.

Tucker goes there -- predicts a hot war with Russia (and maybe China) leading to wartime crushing of political dissent

By Thomas Lifson

Love him or hate him, Tucker Carlson has become the most important political analyst of our era. The release to him of suppressed J6 Capitol footage that contradicted the Democrat/media narrative dominated political news until Carlson’s questionnaire on Ukraine policy to the potential GOP presidential field knocked it out of the headlines. Not since Woodward and Bernstein dominated the news with Watergate has a media source produced results that focused the national spotlight so completely as Mr. Tucker Carlson. Unsurprisingly, many are the progressives who want to see him knocked off the air.
Last night, he began his top-rated hour-long program with the following startling statement:
“You’re going to get a hot war with Russia – and China – whether you want one or not.”
He followed with analysis of the Black Sea drone incident and the calls for retaliation and escalation from Lindsey Graham and “his friends in the war party” that would likely lead to outright war. And wartime, he noted at the end of the segment, leads to extraordinary suppression of political dissent.

It's funny how both left and right wingers don't understand that someone can have a change of opinion as time goes on.
As well as CNN possibly leaving some context out.
