Twitter 8/13 - How Chris dresses in public

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I didn't do either of those things. Nor did Chris snitch on him. Chris did fucking nothing to him.
I think he meant The Captain, who made a wall of text about what she's doing to help Chris against the photographer.

Man if this backfires too she might deserve her own thread just from how often her plans to help Chris result in even more content.

That's the fucked up part about this, Chris did nothing wrong. He was minding his own business in a place where he's supposed to be.

Hell, he even had an admirably mature response to the guy. It's everybody else that's autistic on this one..

Its going to happen again regardless of anyone's sensibilities. I am not saying its right, but we've been through a million times. People don't respect Chris or his space because he dresses and acts likes an idiot. It's our animal world, we've been gawking at freaks since we could scratch our own arses, it won't stop now because someone has a wild hair up their ass about one of society's throwaways.

Oddly enough I admittedly don't even care. It was a funny picture. Considering the ways Chris content had been generated over the years, that we've all enjoyed, this is fairly innocent. I just think its funny that @The Captain might get Chris's ass kicked due to overbearing whitenighting. And Chris didn't do shit. This is why the rule is to let shit ride. Don't touch baby birds.

You wrote earlier that you thought there could be serious legal implications for whoever took the picture. Do you think it's decent to potentially fuck up someone's life because of a twitter joke? Seems pretty cunty to me, tbhfam.
When I initially told Chris that he should report them I didn't know who the individual was and I don't even think they had their own thread yet. This guy's life is already fucked up through his own actions.

And honestly, the only folks that face "serious" legal implications are doctors and medical staff that violate HIPAA. When I wrote my initial post I was out and about and got the two mixed up.

Patient to patient the only thing they can run afoul are the NDAs that they sign when they in-process to the facility. He might get a stern talking to, a slap on the wrist, or moved to a different facility altogether - not much more than that. The burden is actually on the facility's staff to make sure things like this can't happen, or to limit the possibility that they happen. In this case, Region 10 probably needs to enforce a no cellphone ban in common areas - this is actually quite common and I'm surprised they don't have one already.

So you actively meant to fuck up somebody's life over a Twitter post, not knowing it was already fucked and wasn't a medical staff?

How do you think Chris will feel, if your suggestion for him to file a complaint resulted in Region Ten disallowing him from using his cell phone while in the building?

What do you think Chris will do to pass time if he wasn't allowed to keep himself busy with his cell phone while waiting in close proximity with other people?

Isn't Bryan on probation? I doubt he'll get yanked for taking a stupid picture, but hey, i dont fuck with ex cons either. He doesn't sound worried on his twitter, but still..

Yeah, after reading this thread, I don't see the big deal here. Chris looks like some 14 year old from the 1990s puked on him and he is internet famous. Of course he would attract a picture or two. I mean, look at him. As for the picture being taken at Region 10, he wasn't at the AIDS clinic, its a god damn community services board. Bryan here is a huge cow himself, but coaxing Chris to report this shit, you gotta think about what kinda precedent this sets.

Let me tell you about a cow we have on our board named @Thomas Jay Wasserberg. Tooter will call the cops at the drop of a dime. He has called the Tucson Police Department, the FBI, the Arizona Counterterrorism Unit, everything.

Every level of government that he calls ignores him. Why? Because he has become the boy who cried wolf. He has had legitimate altercations at his apartment where cops should have responded immediately. They didn't because they have had so many false and misleading calls from him that they just blow him off.

By you coaching him into being a gigantic tattle tail you will earn him the same treatment by anyone who has authority around him. Also, it seems as though you're becoming a bit too intimate in his life if you're needling him towards taking actions in situations like this. Chris is a weirdo and people will be astonished by him in public. Mollycoddling him and telling him to tell on anyone who does anything he doesn't like is gonna fuck up his conflict resolution skills in a major way. I really don't understand why a picture taken in a community services office where he is dressed like that with a damn pony and a sonichu medallion comes to the point of pushing him to be a snitch, but here we are.

That said, its none of my business, and Chris is your puppet at this time, so you can clearly tell me to fuck off, but it seems to me that if this is the approach you plan to take with him, he is more being used as an autism IED set to detonate for concern trolling. The objective, as I understand it, is to get people to not take advantage of his gullibility in criminal ways, while helping him with small aspects of his life where he would like to better himself. I don't think Bryan is gonna knock on Chris' door for being a snitch, or even confront him, at least unless it really fucks his day up, but over a pic like this you really want him to run that risk? You really want Chris to learn that its a good idea to report everyone for every perceived wrong?

Who am I kidding, Chris won't learn, but still, Chris is like the Monkey's paw. Every time you ask something of him, expect the worst possible unintended consequences. He won't just fuck up a cup of coffee, he will burn the damn house down making the cup of coffee. God bless for trying.

This is The Captain's master plan.

So this just came to mind and I told Chris about this and encouraged him to do it.

Taking someone's photo in a medical setting is typically against the law. You typically sign a waiver stating that you won't tell anyone about what you hear or see once you go through the front door. Some places even ban cell phone usage in the facilities including the waiting rooms.

Chris should show Region 10 the Twitter post and report whoever took this picture and posted it. They violated his right to privacy in a medical setting and likely also are in violation of any waiver they signed when they did their initial intake at that office. There can be serious legal implications for the offender.

It won't be hard to find out who took it for a couple reasons. First, Chris knows the exact date and time he was there waiting for his appointment. Second, the offender likely was also checked in at the same time - that lobby is empty so it will be even easier to pin down who did it. Finally - security cameras. Places like this have cameras everywhere. All they would have to do is look at the footage and compare the face to the name.

This would be grounds for said individual to lose their Region 10 entitlements at the very least and could also lead to fines or jail time.

They're likely a Farms lurker and will probably read this. Anyway, I'm already asking Chris to do exactly what I detailed above - welcome to the Farms and enjoy your stay!

Can you cite any specific regulation? I live in a country where internet shitposting can put you in jail and there is no law against photography in public areas of hospitals. It's curious to think the US would have stricter rules.

I told him to do it, what info to give and why it was important. He's there right now making a formal complaint.
While I see that you're trying to help Chris in some way I think you're going about it wrong. I don't know you or your intentions but I don't think your heart is in the right place.

Chris has a lot of issues and since becoming part of popular culture he hasn't always handled them the best (i.e. touching his "fans" at cons) but I think the way he initially handled the situation was classy and appropriate (the twitter post.) Having Chris go to authority figures every time someone tries to exploit him is ridiculous and frankly when it's one of us who tells him to do it, it comes off as down right manipulative. "This is our cow and only we can make fun of him."

I also don't think you should be involving yourself in his therapy. The whole reason he's there is because someone has done everything for him, Chris will never overcome these delusions unless he chooses to talk about them. You're just making the problem worse and honestly coming off as very possessive and controlling. I understand wanting to help people but you will never help someone who doesn't want it or ask for it. If Chris came to us and asked us to help him, then I'd understand, but this is just manipulation and it will only backfire.

To quote sneasel:
