Ty Beard - Bumbling Fat Wargames Nerd Lolyer High On His Own Farts

It would only be more degrading if the thread no longer called him Ty Beard and just switched to Percy like the Twitter court likes to say

Also because of this:

I still think that's a stupid fucking thing to call him if you're trying to be mean, and honestly just shows how fucking braindead their side is. At least try to be creative. Call him Ty Lard or something.

If they had any ounce of creativity they'd be able to come up with something actually funny. Since they keep Low T and Shane around, and let Lemoine make PowerPoints to express how much brain damage he's sustained from West Nile it's a reach to expect anything from them.

They're the kind of people that would find Amy Schumer funny.

lol Ty Lard is pretty good. He is a long way from looking like a TKD black belt.

I also noticed that most of his clothes fit him very loosely. Perhaps he used to be far more round.

Probably trying to get camera ready again.

Since he's big into WW2 B-17 Boomer might be a good one.

Frankly, I think it's kinda ridiculous that some people here are turning on him. You are playing into the hands of people, like the diaperfur troon, who are convinced the Farms is on its deathbed.

I always figured that the Farms liked Ty's attitude and personality (which hasn't seemed to change any), while being smart enough to recognize that his legal abilily was an unknown quantity.

But I guess some people were too emotionally invested in this shit, and were only in this to win (instead of laughing at dipshits). I tried to warn people that litigating is significantly more nuanced than shit posting on the Internet.

He lost. Whether it's because of his legal ability (or lack thereof), or the Judge is a lazy dipshit who couldn't be arsed to deal with his caseload, remains to be seen. I would withhold judgement until an appeals court examines all this. I am still dumbfounded how Slatosch's affidavit didn't establish a prima facie case for TI.

Edit: Typo.

It is a bit silly. We were spoiled as this case was going really fast for a lawsuit and everyone just expected it to keep going at this pace. This bump in the road is putting it on track for normal court speed.

I thought all the shitting on Ty was a joke. Whether or not he (and BHBH) is one would have to wait until the transcriptions come out.

For some, sure, but it's patently obvious there's also people who have pockets bursting at the seams with spaghetti. Both here and elsewhere.

I just think that he's shown real sloppy
work despite being a relatively big firm. It's a real bad look. This may not be his biggest case, but I'm pretty sure this is his most famous one.

I don't agree with his views on a lot of stuff, but I still think he can win this case and I respect how professional he is even when dunking on people. He just needs to bring his A game the entire time after the hearing.

I'm figuring most of the complaints about Ty is similar to the "CSI effect." Television and media have skewed what people expect from a court hearing. Nothing is going to convince people otherwise until the next hearing. And God help us all if this goes to appeal.

It is also because a lot of people here had him propped up to being infallible, and now they are asshurt that he is seen to be capable of making mistakes, so now they lash out.

The fact that he was willing to own it sets him apart from your typical lolyer. Some here seem to want to overlook that.

I'm more than happy to shittalk the guy, because he's a boomer nerd like me, and frankly we deserve everything we get.

The big TCPA response was sloppy, but BHBH's previous filings were on point. And the legal arguments in there were solid, even though the writing was rushed and the exhibits were incomplete. 1 bad filing and 1 judge that woke up on the wrong side of the bed don't make you incompetent.

I still think Ty was insufficiently autistic to shepherd a mess of a case through a mess of a law. I've been working on a comprehensive list of Vic allegations for the last few weeks (delayed by RL shit and losing my draft), and I didn't catch things like the missing Marchi tweets until the Sunday after that filing. And my focus was something entirely different from the TCPA itself, which requires a legal walkthrough rather than an archive link. Nick showed the evidence grid that Ty had prepared for the hearing, so I'll give them credit for knowing what they needed to do, but they just couldn't nail the presentation to an annoyed, quick-moving judge.

If he adjusts his presentation style to what he now knows about the judge, and nails the appeal, then he's a normal lawyer. If he gets sloppy again, then the new thread subtitle might be justified.

Twitter is an online mental asylum meant to keep lunatics occupied and out of the hair of the rest of us.
To be fair, though, I think the same could probably be said for the Farms.

In the general pressure of trying to meet the deadline, missing it because the online filing system didn't like the PDF, and then having to scramble to try to get a PDF that it would accept, the fact that the response they finally filed was so bad made me wonder if they ended up accidentally submitting one of their drafts instead. It definitely lacked the polish of their previous filings... missing footnotes, missing bullet points, repeated bullet points.

Leonard French is a well-known YouTuber, yet only has a hair over 100k subs. That's par for the course with legal commentary.

He also mainly covers IP law which is one of the more nerdy legal fields, doesn't get drunk and rowdy, and isn't particularly funny, although he has his moments of dry humor. He seems a trifle excessively butthurt about Nick's relative success, though.

He'll likely never be huge though given his forte on YouTube. Leonard French is a well-known YouTuber, yet only has a hair over 100k subs. That's par for the course with legal commentary.
Maybe Nick could do stuff like Legal Eagle does, intersperse his live streams that go in-depth into legal discussion with some reviews of court cases in movies or TV shows and how realistic they are, to appeal to a larger audience. He'd need an editor though, Legal Eagle's videos are slick as fuck.

He could also cover the Billy Mitchell vs. Twin Galaxies case that's literally just started, because it's hilarious. Dude's suing a company because they removed his video game high scores from a leaderboard, you don't even need to put effort into that to make it interesting or entertaining; the first page of Billy's evidence packet is a photo of him surrounded by models, for god's sake.

I don't agree with renaming the thread, because if Beard turns this baby around, you guys will have to eat your own ass. I am stating my opinion after you changed the title so I can appear extra smart. There is no glory unless you can say "I told you so."

Ohh yess maybe he could interview Apollo Legend and how he narrowly avoided getting sued by Mitchell after some of the shenanigans he pulled.

We bust your chops Ty because we care.

Also because it’s funny.

Yea that. Minus the care part.

I'm sorry. I missed it. What's the purpose of this site again? It's ridiculous he was deified without seeing his body of work.
