Ty Beard - Bumbling Fat Wargames Nerd Lolyer High On His Own Farts

There wasn't even that much shittalking up to now.

You get a judge with Lego insoles asking you for preponderance of evidence when you prepared for clear and specific and suddenly you're Lolcow No. 1... oh, how the Farms turns.
Luckily I'm safe from being turned on by the farms, after seeing the Animal Control thread I don't think I can ever get an erection again. Hahaha, see what I did there?

But back on topic, Ty made a promise to Vic's mom, do you guys reckon he's got the balls to take any financial hits he may need to in order to keep that promise to Ms. Mignigna?

He seems like he's in a position to take some amount of a hit; he apologized to the farms early on for a mischaracterization so I think he takes his word as seriously as anyone can.

I expect it. It would be far more disappointing than a single lackluster performance in court for him not to.

It would only be more degrading if the thread no longer called him Ty Beard and just switched to Percy like the Twitter court likes to say

Also because of this:

He's a big guy, he can take it.
Sure, but I doubt he'll be looking at the Farms for any archived tweets for a while, the dude really fucked up by not adding context to the tweets he was using as evidence for Jamie's defamation.

If he pays as close attention to tabletop games as he does lawsuits I reckon I could take his 1000-point Space Marine army on with a single Imperial Guard.

The context was actually there, the judge just didn't wait long enough to be shown it before ruling. He walked that back a little later on.

I don't think he's going to disappoint Vic's mom because that would be the Worst Ending for this game. Also, personally I don't think he's as much of a laughingstock as some other people make him out to be, though the thread title change may just send the message to BHBH that they need to take Vic's case more seriously. I have faith in Ty though, and I'm sure this won't affect him too much. He's a big boy after all.

I actually liked his show pre Vic case. Rackets use to cover multiple cases and whatever cases were in the news or interesting to the audeince. The show has suffered for us who were in the original audeince because of the constant Vic shit since Rackets hasn't covered anything else. We wanted him to cover the Nintendo class action lawsuit... didn't happen, wanted him to cover the new fillings about Jussie Smollet, didn't do it. We wanted him to keep us posted on Alex Jones case, haven't heard two words about it. Etc.

I get it that he is running a GFM me for this one, but it was something like 30k subs pre Vic stuff. We kinda got left in the dust to chase this new thing because a bunch of rabid anime fans crawled out the woodwork to throw views at it and every youtuber chased that to the detriment of their core audience.

I think Nick can re-deversify and survive. I was a fan before this, and am still a fan. Legal channels aren't for everyone.

I agree he maybe became too myoptic on WW, and missed a chance to introduce people to his standard content, but I would point out that that means we were spared having him talk about Warski like several people asked him to. That was maddening. I'm not sure I see the value in a lawyer confirming that Warski is a coke headed retard. You don't need a J.D. to figure that shit out.

Re: Ty? Meh. I don't care. Love him or hate him. I was always ambivalent about him particularly, and still am. He definitely boomered some shit, but the judge's decision was also incomprehensible in several places. An appeal seems reasonable here.

Twitter is an online mental asylum meant to keep lunatics occupied and out of the hair of the rest of us.

I don't doubt he could switch back to that format fairly easily. I think my criticism is the covering of minor, non case document stuff just to keep talking about the subject. A few streams come to mind where there were no developments but an entire 2-3 hours were spent filling the air just to keep on the Vic topic.

I didn't care if he actually covered the Warski thing, reason why I didn't specifically mention that one. The only reason why I personally would have wanted him to cover Warski was there was a clear bias in that scenario where Nick seemed to be obfuscating facts in a certain direction to make Warski seem more innocent. I think if he had ever really covered it there would be some serious questions raised about his integrity.

Like I said, he became myoptic and needs to re-deversify. Mostly out of necessity given that this case will be winding down until an appeal is heard.

He'll likely never be huge though given his forte on YouTube. Leonard French is a well-known YouTuber, yet only has a hair over 100k subs. That's par for the course with legal commentary. It's very subject dependent. If you don't give a shit about a particular legal matter, there's not much else to say. I personally asked him to cover some issues that was preempted by around the clock Vic (such as the lawsuit surrounding the UMG fire), so I know where you're coming from.

That said, I can't really fault him too much for following the money on this one though. Vic's case was probably the biggest thing he's covered to date. The real test will be whether most of the subs gained from that coverage will stick it out with him as he moves on to other matters.
