easier to remove complains via some tranny jannies in real time. because that's what you need when you want to talk about a game and possible issues, a glorified chat...
Imagine having a repository for information someone could look up for issues instead of having to register your information on groomer central to ask some coom brained retard with delusions of grandeur.

They're so broke they can't afford forums anymore? Lol

Future of the Ubisoft Forums

Update on the future of Forums

Looking at market trends and evolution, Discord has been a prominent place for like-minded players and communities to gather and engage. We constantly monitor the current market and listen to our community's feedback, and we feel now is the time more than ever, to provide support and engagement opportunities, where you are.

This is why, on 25 April 2023, we are going to move our forums presence to Discord, where you will be able to continue having conversations with other active and like-minded players, as well as with our team here at Ubisoft. Whether you're joining the Brotherhood, having a boogie with friends and family, or teaming up with your fellow operators, we'll always be there to support you through your journey.

What is happening next?

On 25 April 2023, the Forums will close. Our teams will be working on turning the most important threads into accessible knowledge ensuring this valuable information is always available to you, just like all our main knowledge articles that are currently on the Ubisoft Help site. In those 30 days before closing however, please feel free to grab any useful content that you woud like to keep from the forums.

We look forward to continuing sharing insightful conversations, discussing your feedback, and helping you all on your latest mission over on Discord.

Watch this space for more information, and we will share a link to our new home in due course.

Thank you all, see you over there!

No incentive to fix the games if they only receive positive feedback.
The new Ubisoft forums were always a pain in the ass to navigate, but this is way worse. Another Tencent-owned company that has no official forum for the consumers.

Has the whole thing been shelved? Retooled? Secretly being remade into the Division 3?
Supposedly still in development as-is, was recently delayed/announced to be releasing in the 2023/24 financial year. Would expect to see some more about it at Ubi's shitty E3 knock off. Speaking of, it's been officially announced now for June 12, although why they're still doing it in LA instead of taking advantage of not being at E3 to go for a cheaper all digital version idk.

They're so broke they can't afford forums anymore? Lol
I think it's less that they're broke and more a case of:

Also the Division finally did something that's theoretically a good idea:

Of course in typical Division fashion, details are kinda thin on the ground. While this is obviously spurred by the Faye Lau manhunt bollocks, there's other shit that could count. For example you can spawn endless waves of enemies in a certain open world Black Tusk activity by not killing the angry Wall-E, is that banworthy? I wasn't around for the last major ban wave, but pretty much every comment I've seen about it was that it was a fucking shitshow, so I have high hopes for this one lol.

It's The Divison Day™ (didn't know there was a special day).
Ubishit had a pre-recorded livestream on Twitch about the future of The Division. Another year of content/battlepasses for The Division 2, some info on The Division: Heartland, a F2P PvPvE (one of their lead devs is a troon).
They had the Twitch Drops enabled but for some reason it didn't work, lol. Ubisoft in a nutshell.

Anybody has heard about XDefiant? Evidently, it's getting high fanfare based on its familiarity with older CoDs. Whether it would last remains to be seen.

Also, Ubisoft+ launched on Xbox for $18/month. Wow, hard pass. Many Ubisoft games are on sale regularly and on Game Pass.

Whilst Heartland looks dead on arrival, XDefiant could be good but only if they stick to not adding SBMM.

My expectations going in were pretty low, but a sub 20minute pre-recorded stream was even lwoer than I expected lol

New DLC for Divs 2 (including new zones) sounds interesting, new "restructured endgame" not so much. Heartland was exactly as bad as I was expecting. PvPvE is absolute cancer IMO (hence why out of the thousands of hours I've played of Div 2, only like 6 of them were in the DZ) so I can safely ignore it. Also was it just me or did the actual animations/gameplay look absolutely janky as fuck compared to Div 2?

Also noticed this gem:

Every fucking time.

I've seen people speculating that they accidentally enabled the drops on The Division twitch channel, despite the fact they were streaming on the Ubi one.

Some interesting things from the latest TU17.2 update as well, firstly they stealth nerfed convoy xp (for anyone who didn't know resource convoys give twice the listed xp). Naturally the playerbase went fucking nuts, and now the devs are saying it'll be reverted because it was a change destined for a future TU that accidentally got pushed live. However that's the exact same story they gave when Floor 10 got stealth nerfed as well. Funny how the only times they've accidentally pushed code live it nerfed players, really jogs the noggin.

Also in their vain attempt to fix the Determined talent, they instead seem to have broken it even further, and now it won't proc when it should, GG Massive.

I hear a lot of praise from cod fans especially for not having SBMM, but on the other hand I see some skepticism as to whether it really has much of a future. Also, they seem to ban t-bagging like other modern games are doing these days.

It sounds like XDefiant isn't necessarily GOOD, just that CoD has gotten worse. Take that what you will. How this would be relavant with Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege remains to be seen.

So they delayed the final manhunt target by a week, released it today and, aside from the fact the main part of the mission is about as fun as being hit by a truck (and as someone who has literally been hit by a truck I know what I'm talking about), there's also an absolutely game ruining bug. If you're unlucky you get stuck in a groundhog day-esque loop where the final part just keeps on repeating, and your character can't leave or do anything else. The worst part for me is I got the normal kind of crash partway through the mission, and by the time I loaded back in my team was literally at the end of that, so I essentially only got the fucking broken bit. GG Massive.

So for some reason that I genuinely could not explain, even if you paid me too, Ubisoft is diving back into the NFT sphere. This time they're doing some absolutely gay sounding physical collectible/NFT combo for Assassin's Creed, except this one doesn't even give you a stupid in-game cosmetic or anything.

Of course being current year there's a pass and pre-order exclusives for... reasons :story:

When you need to get a quick infusion of cash with no effort whatsoever there is always money in the Banana Stand Crypto.

amiiboos with dlc you can sell apparently so there can only ever be 1500 owners of it.

if they can even be resold and it's not just some weird physical/digital dlc scheme...

Ubisoft managed to get a remaster/remake stuck in development hell:
"In terms of the development stage, we're in conception right now. Since we took over the project, we've been looking at feedback from the community and finding our own way of delivering the game. Now, we're building up the team, defining the priorities, putting prototypes together, testing elements, and looking at how we can include community feedback in the development as well," said Naud. "It's still in an early stage, and players should not expect to hear more about the game this year, but rest assured that we're all putting our strengths and heart into this project."

I don't know where else to point it

I saw the new Assassins Creed trailer. The only thing I took from it is that I still get autistically annoyed when I see it say "A Ubisoft Original" and not "AN Ubisoft Original" with these games

Makes me wonder what the hell they're trying to make, if they're getting feedback from the community (probably negative) and having to put together multiple prototypes for a remake, especially with it already being years past the planned release window. It's PoP, it's not that complicated: you've got the Arabian Nights setting, you have the character do acrobatic platforming and dodge traps, and give him some fun time shenanigans powers. You don't have to re-invent the entire thing, like going from the original game to Sands of Time did, you've already got the pieces.

The forum shutdown (only now found about it) reminds me of a similar move by Bioware, after its ME3 ending debacle (sweet summer children we were, thinking that a 3 color ending or w/e was horrible, not knowing what's to come with Andromeda, Inquisition faggotry, Anthem lunacy and general corporate collapse).
I'm fairly sure that they simply want to crush all criticism and potential drama building. Forums are kinda forever. Even ones with jannies. There is a reason they move to Discord, not Reddit - nobody can archive it properly, and people get banned easily and before being able to "raise awareness", i.e. create drama and lower sales.
Just like Jersh, I passionately hate a lot about modern Internet, the people on it, and how it works, and if given the opportunity, I'd perform unsavory acts against corporate entities responsible for the last decade of changes, and the useful idiots enabling them.
