Every time I hear about The Division 2, something is always broken.

So I've seen a ton of articles pop up saying Ubisoft is remaking AC4 Black Flag

What is with these faggot gamers and their remakes? Also they can't even get Skull and Bones out but they can get this out?

Hope it's not true. This generation of remakes is a fucking disaster.
My theory, they're trying to capitalize on AC4 being a runaway hit again because Skull and Bones is in development hell. I wouldn't be surprised if they both share assets and general foundation.

OR, hear me out, this remake of AC4 will be a bonus for Skull and Bones: DELUXE Edition when it comes out. Well, it HAS to come out unless Ubisoft wants to face legal trouble with Singapore.

lol most of the world hates Ubisoft, I'm surprised that EA doesn't even show up here, Anglosphere hates Game Freak. and what the hell Rare has done to piss off Saudi Arabia and South Korea, and Ghana is way behind the times.

Because the entire game was broken at launch, never fixed, had it's development abandoned and then randomly started again by an entirely new group of whatever devs were left after all the good ones were poached for the Avatar and Star Wars games.

Is this really accurate? Has Ubisoft become more hated than EA?

I get the hate for GameFreak in America. Even during the GameBoy days the US market was treated as second class compared to japan, in which they had a fucking event for all their games like every other day.

And then Pokemon Bank happened once Gen6 (X/Y) released... probably the biggest fucking "PREESE UDDERSTAND!" moment from them in which their servers fucking broke day 1 and only repaired the japanese side while the western side had to fucking wait MONTHS for that shit to get fixed, so online battles were fucking broken with japan players just dominating western teams with nationaldex pokemon. Of course shit only got worse because that was also around the time where the general quality of pokemon games practically tanked... not just from a feature point of view, but on a technical coding one as well.

It still sells 56 trillion copies every year so it's fake hate.

EA games doesn't exist anymore, the hate was genuine. Even Battlefield is a distant memory nowadays.

It's a shitty study. Syphoning the data from Twitter is not actual research. Ubisoft is on the top of the list because of all the controversies surrounding the company in the last 2 or 3 years.

Not to mention, the kind of adult audience Game Freak attracts with Pokemon are the kinds to have severe autism and complain about every single tiny little thing, waxing about how the franchise is irreparably ruined, despite being the first in line to preorder six copies of each new entry.

Six copies as in, a physical copy to open, a physical copy to keep sealed, and then a digital copy just in case they want to play when they have another cartridge in. And then they'll pump a thousand hours into it, all while moaning and complaining. What a way to live your life.

considering that EA doesn't really do anything offensive these days. or anything at all besides releasing more shitty sportball and become a pity case when it comes to their other games. activision mostly just rehashes COD every year, blizz is just the troon version of EA's pity case and king is mobile shit. squeenix was never really big and either completely bombs, which is funny for a minute, then becomes sad because people forget it, or do something with final fantasy. take two is basically GTA: the milk machine.

so the only one to generate a different reaction than wanting to assist with the suicide is ubisoft, where it's more like violently murder.

Personally, Squeenix is much worse these days. I do agree that Game Freak deserves all the hate, but Squeenix doesn't get as much hate as it truly deserves, especially how they've been releasing yearly garbage and have been into NFT shit

I don't think about them at all now that they don't have Deus Ex. Maybe that's the worst fate; to disappear without evoking any emotion.

When's the last time EA really did anything bad? Closing the Dead Space guys down a decade ago? Because DS is back and better than the DS guy's successor game.

In addition to Battlefield 2042's shitty launch, and the game somehow is still getting updated, they also continue to milk the hell out of The Sims 4, as that game will be turning 9 years old in 2 months. And even though the TS4 DLCs, and the game as a whole, have been absolute bug-fests, people continue to buy them, since EA still holds an effective monopoly on the Life Simulation genre. And given the past EA controversies with The Sims series, i.e. SecuROM in The Sims 2's later Expansion Packs, The Sims 3 Store, and all of the removed features in TS4 on-launch, and yet people still continue to buy and play their games, the Stockholm Syndrome will most likely stick around for a long time.

The next Sims game, with the production name Project Rene, won't be any better, as it will apparently be F2P, always online, and will most likely either lockdown modding, or they'll create a curated platform for mods, as TS4's collaboration with Overwolf appears to be a testing ground for that. And given the restrictions on Overwolf, mods such as Extreme Violence will not likely exist on Project Rene.

Regarding Game Freak, wouldn't most normies simply assume Pokemon is made by Nintendo, and therefore hate Nintendo?

Also, what's with the hate for Capcom from South America and Asia? What did they do to piss off those two?

-Research was made on 2021.
-Considering they only used Twitter as metrics they likely used "language equivalent of fuck+company name" as data.
-Considering the data was from 2021, on another map Wendy's pops up as the most hated fast-food brand on Brazil, thing is Wendy's shut down on Brazil on January 2020, making barely any sense the continuous hatred of a brand that left the country a year prior.

Pointless and already outdated tbh.

Not sure if bait or not.

But if serious, because Edward was probably the best protagonist in AC. Ezio was good but Edward just had an excellent arc. That and ship combat reminded most people of the 2004 remake of Sid Meiers's Pirates! which by itself was a really fun game.

Edward was Arthur Morgan before he was a thing.
>I may be a greedy, alcoholic, wife-abandoning, thieving, and murdering cunt but at least I'm not a racist.
And he was just good at everything for no reason. He kills a fully trained assassin at the very beginning and ends up hunting megalodons with spears on a shitty raft.
Sid Meiers's Pirates!
Need to buy on sale sometime. Missed it on GOG recently. Shame.

Let's be fair, all of the AC protags were magically endowed with amazing martial prowess, that's part of the power fantasy of gaming. At the end of the day AC4 is just a fun pirate simulator.

I thought the raft mini game was fun but it's also entirely optional. I didn't quite enjoy the legendary ship fights because they were just kite fests.

Re: Sid Meier's. That game was originally $50 when it came out, I'd say it's current base price of $10 on GoG is more than fair given how fun it is.
