This actually reminded me that I hadn't logged into uplay in months...
Hell, I think the last time I was on a Ubisoft game was For Honor, probably back when it was still less than a year old. The only other thing of theirs I have/had is... Farcry 3 and Blood Dragon.
Only one of those is worth keeping, but I already bought it. Those Francophone fucksticks aren't making me pay for it twice.

Cancelled in favor of Assassin's Creed. Ubisoft wants all hands on deck for the Assassin's Creed IP, six titles in development. They're going to milk AC for all it's worth.
No matter what, Ubi will continue to milk Ass Creed or Just Dance and it's real depressing

They're going to find out by title no. 2 that people can only stomach one of those things every other year. Its going to be a horrible trainwreck.
the worst part: they already figured that out after syndicate, but apparently forgot all about it...

Syndicate was less financially successful than previous entries in the series, selling over 5.5 million units by November 2017. Ubisoft attributed the lower sales numbers to a series fatigue among players, caused in part by Assassin's Creed Unity's disappointing release the year prior, and decided to end the annual release cycle for the series.

>decide I'm finally just done with Ubisoft games on PC because Ubisoft Connect is really that bad
>uninstall all my games from it via Steam
>months pass
>run Windirstat to see what's taking up space on my drives
>notice i missed one, a demo for Trials Rising
>28gb for a demo
>no uninstaller in the game's folder
>go through Windows' own Add/Remove Programs to uninstall it
>click "Uninstall"
>Ubisoft Connect pops up, I thought I uninstalled that too, months ago
>needs an update, several hundred megabytes as usual
>requires me to log in, will not uninstall it unless I log in
>still nags me for my phone number
>shows me an ad:

At least everything after that was smooth sailing... I hope.

Ubi, still the best. They're not EA, they're not Activision, they're not american, they're not owned by a console manufacturer. I hope they clean house and go back to basics(making games that are fun).

All that stuff and they're still more of a souless shit factory than any other publisher in the industry. Worse than EA, worse than Bandai Namco.

Well, okay, Take 2 is still worse than them but thats it.

But are they worse than Capcom, ActiBlizz or Squeenix? My answer is yes.

Undecided on A-B, but they are far worse than the other two.
