I *do* hope you're preparing your "barricade self in room" shopping list.
Is that a fucking Mother 4 reference?

I get the feeling kris is gonna be the ultimate villain of deltarune while i mostly tend to be a gud boi in rpgs (i tend to feel gulity when i take a evil or a shitty character route ) which means i never went the snowgrave route. but from what i've heard and what kris does in the snowgrave route and the whole gouging his own heart out in both chapter 1 and 2 i do wonder if chara might come into play in the later chapters.

In the Japanese translation (which Toby has a lot of input over) there's a character in the intro that speaks just like Chara. (Manners of speaking are much more distinct in Japanese)
IIRC Kris is repeatedly shown as uncomfortable through his body language and has an uneasy relationship with the player. The authoritative voices calling Noelle in snowgrave are implied to be the player's own and not Kris's.

I wonder if Ralsei will be the villain and Noelle will become the third party member. She's treated the same as the other party members if you try to name a character after her in the intro.
Maybe you'll go solo with Noelle in future weird routes instead? Who knows.

Ralsei being the villain didn't cross my mind since he looks so harmless, though i won't be surprised if his warning about creating another dark fountain in the dark world in the pacifist route for chapter 2 ends up becoming true.
But i dindu nuffin bad
Fucking knew that creepy bitch would end up here too.

Another thing that bunker is gonna be the chapter 7 place isn't it, if hyper light drifter has thought me anything it's that underground areas that are located right in the middle of some town that also have funny noises coming from them are bad juju.

I've said from the beginning that little fuck is the big bad. Basically everything about him is sketchy as hell. The way he stares at the screen before closing the door in chapter 1, the fact that he has red horns (You can find out Kris used to use red horns like that to pretend to be a goat when he was little), the idea that 'if it's two fountains that's a problem, why not just shut down the one here?', and in chapter 2, the fact that he pulls that extra 'titans' shit completely out of his ass, the instant he needs to, when no one, not even Queen had heard of it before. Not to mention the fact that Lancer turns to stone in the Computer world, but Ralsei is totally fine.

Mark my words, that little shit is a serious problem.

Ah good there are Ralsei haters here too.

I never liked Ralsei. It didn't take me long to figure out how uncomfortable Kris is around the little bastard and pretty much sided with him because I know a railroading DM when I see one. Final straw was referring to Spamton as "corrupted data" when we know fully well Spamton's a whole lot more than that. It gets a whole lot worse when you remember Ralsei's implied to be some form of Asriel, who said these things:

To me it seems like Ralsei is trying his best to suck up to Kris and make him do his bidding, i.e. sealing the dark fountains and putting darkners in his realm. Either that or he's just a massive faggot.

To be fair, according to extended canon (the spamton sweepstakes) that's literally what he's implied to be.
Also Kris is repeatedly stated to be very close to his brother and I don't know how that will tie into everything. Kinda weird how fucking gay Ralsei is though.

I can't stand Ralsei either, was always my least favorite character as I not only cannot stand the "uwu cute wholesome nice" sort of characters, his fans, and the fact that he's extremely fucking sus in chapter 2

Making Kris' room in the darkworld, his tea healing less than Susie and how the prophecy fits more with Lancer, a prince of darkners than Ralsei.

Something also to mention is that Flowey didn't start out as a psychotic flower until the resets took a toll on him.

That's actually one of the reasons I dislike Noelle. It seems like she was specifically designed as "Cinnamon Roll" and while she's far less hideous than Alphys; I've still never been a fan of that character archetype.

Making Kris' room in the darkworld
What did you mean by this? Did you mean "Making Asriel's room in the darkworld"? He made one for Susie too.

Speaking of. Kris's darkworld room is actually extremely interesting to me. I forgot about that.
There's clearly some ominous symbology going on with it being a mirrored version of the real one. Kris now sleeping on the populated side instead of the empty one, his brother's side a dark corner that's filled with negative space. (Although Susie's room does this too)

Actually. Here's a *REALLY* fucking interesting thing I just noticed.
Most people assume that Kris's side was the depressing empty one ...but the bedcovers on the opposite side in the real world match his shirt.
What if Kris is sleeping in his brother's bed because he misses him and the reason that side is so deserted is because his brother took all his stuff when he moved out?

I'll have to check if there's any indication in the game...

I think he's getting at the fact that Ralsei (a darkner who cannot exist outside of the dark world) somehow managed to recreate Kris' room from the light world that he cannot have ever visited. Clearly there's something more to him, and he probably doesn't strictly adhere to the exclusive duality of the worlds like all the other darkners seem to.

Ralsei being a badguy feels like something so obvious it feels like a red herring to me, however, i do think he is hiding information, and his "hey maybe you should think about what susie's doing" moments do feel suspicious. I also think you might get to kill him in snowgrave just like how you killed Flowey in undertale.

Maybe so, but I feel like if Toby tries to go for anything more insane it'll end up as a "sUbVeRtInG yOuR eXpEcTaTiOnS" type deal. I can't help but wonder how it feels having this immense amount of overhype from fans wondering what the end-all be-all of your penultimate game will be, and whether or not it really was worth all those years developing it til the end.

So will this garbage ever have a third chapter? Aren't there supposed to be five chapters? Is there any reason all those indie devs takes decades to make the same game over and over?
