So how did this work, Dove walked up to their fat out of touch middle aged woman audience and said "Hey, do you think a lack of diversity in videogames has a negative effect on girls' self esteem?" and they posited that yeah probably, that makes sense to me as a vacuous blob of cellulite and PMS.

Also, I'm guessing all the diverse retards have to be good guys? It's not like there are that many fat male heroes either. Does Smough count as male body positivity?

So who is the target audience for this? The minority of a minority? Is this what makes money these days?

I remember as a kid when playing games, that I would always want to play as a badass and never as something I could relate to. Like playing a retarded child or something that is so fucking common these days(or in Japanese games in general). You know, something or someone to look up to, something better than you. An adult.

Are todays coonsomers so fucking pathetic that the protagonist must be something like them, else they get a nervous breakdown or something? What the fuck is this shit...

I never understood this mentality where people need to see themselves in media to feel validation. Do they actually think players went through something like FF7 and were like, "As a cis white-skinned, blonde male, I feel so empowered looking at Cloud with his impossible hair style and gigantic anime sword. Now I truly belong in society."

If they want more representation from certain demographics, here's the easiest way to accomplish that: just create likeable characters. Give them interesting backstories or fun personalities. Make them cute or stylish. Lay out their motivations or goals in a way that's relatable to society at large. Nobody is going to care more about minorities just because you started modeling Taiwanese demi-sexual furries and put them in shitty video games.
