Fox Poll: 70% of Americans say groceries cost more than a year ago and nearly 60% blame Trump for it.The sentiment shows how quickly voters are linking the new administration’s trade and tariff policies to rising prices at the checkout line.

Trump's messaging on grocery prices has been absolutely abysmal. I don't know if it's ego or bad information from staff or what, but just saying, "Prices are going down everywhere!" is the same failed Bidenomics strategy that nobody bought.
He made some good progress last night when he ordered that meat suppliers be investigated for collusion and overregulation, but he really needs to change tactics verbally, because right now, people are getting flashbacks to Biden's "Ten cents cheaper Fourth of July" campaign.

No, these are all derived from physics.
The question is however one of how they are derived from physics. Both astronomy and astrology study the stars. Both alchemy and chemistry study chemical reactions. Both numerology and number theory study numbers.

Science is not a subject matter but a method, and even the scientific method can be abused.

Blood spatters, the human gait and its effect on footprints, and the concentration of molecules in the air are all dependent on physical processes, but that doesn't mean that any application or analysis of these concepts has the rigor of mathematical physics or the same standard of proof as peer reviewed research.

I'm one of them. Literally only things cheaper are eggs and gas, at least where I am. Some weeks its harder to trust the plan then others.

i don't know how wise it was to expect that the president, a man who can only affect economic policy in certain areas, would actually be able to instantly reduce the price of everyday groceries. what has been reduced are things that he has control over, and what hasn't are at least being affected by other, longer-term policy and investment into future planning. you can't really make sweeping changes to economic policy without at least asking your top guys what their takes are, and those top guys are all brand new, so it will take some time for them to get their footing properly. rfk was ready for it, and hit the ground running, though i'm disappointed with how little the new admin has actually done with all that. tylenoltism is the best thing to come from it so far.

Insane to hear because costs have been going up since the pandemic printout. I saw $9 dollar eggs in 2023! But of course the pollsters know the public has the memory of a goldfish and can thus be manipulated.

DId ANYONE know this was going on? they are holding a house oversight panel forcing old biden staffers to testify on the autopen and the details of him withdrawing from the race

Not only did this not hit "my desk" until 2 days later, look at the views, one of them is under 10k views

Cant even tell how old this is now, some clips are as old as a week but same super low amount of views. Did you guys already see this and discuss it? why is this not front page news?

People seem to have forgotten that "right wing" elements of the military were purged under Biden. These people in the military now are leftists, foreigners, and niggers.
I just feel like the public has been taught to be financially illiterate so they can become dependent on the system whether right or left and this is the result of that. Plenty of young chuds out there blowing money they don’t have too. Sad to see.

Then maybe don't sit there any say prices are going down and attack anyone who rightfully points out otherwise. The whole point of voting him was making the economy better and year out and we're actually worse. Overall everything is more expensive and point to 2 cheap things just makes him seem like a senile old man like Biden. $9 eggs in 2023 means nothing today. I know my groceries are up $20 a week since he took office.

the trend has been significantly slowed, and many measures have been put into place. i know it's hard to understand, but long-term economic issues are not solved in a 6 month period by one president. you were retarded if you thought by the end of 2025 the economy would be like a post-world war 2 boom or something. it's going to take time, and it was always going to take time. people in the thread have been telling others to temper expectations about this for a long time.

it would benefit many people in this thread to get out of the mindset that if you don't get what you want immediately (6 months is immediate in political terms, let's not pretend here) you are going to be disappointed. just like with antifa, the effects have been more gradual because it's an attack on a fractured, decentralized group. it's easy to think things are sucking shit here, but i highly recommend checking out the canada is a failed state thread. the world kinda fucking sucks right now. it's the best of anywhere here, and it's specifically because we've voted in someone who has slowed immigration, started taking down illegals in the country, and put tariffs on other countries.

the tariffs will encourage local production and investment, and already have, but it will take time for that sort of thing to affect consumers. this is why it's so easy to play the game of picking and choosing which achievements and blunders are assigned to the previous president based on what political party you're affiliated with.

Okay but can you agree that this can be regional. For some people groceries are actually down and while it might not be the overall trend to hear someone spout groceries are up like it is a universal truth when it is not their own reality might put them off to listening to what you are trying to say.

Either way they were warning things were going to have to be rough for a while before things get better. Maybe not as loudly as they should have been. But that is just as bad as things have gotten. Think of all the illegals that are part of the logistics chain that have to be removed. That alone isn’t an easy or quick fix. None of it is. Especially when everything is a legal fight.

The problem is financial literacy is just emotional regulation after the first 30 minutes of lessons for most people. People have trouble understanding exponential functions and their relation to investing and they can be taught it. But it isn't a lack of education that causes someone to buy a car 5 times more expensive than what they need, eat out for every meal, or go $100k in debt for a career that a single Google search would tell you has no chance of paying it off. Those are all will power and emotional regulation issues and teaching people about finance doesn't fix that.

Speaking honestly, if any time a Republican takes power and the Democrats spent their entire time burning the country to the ground just to weaken them wouldn't it be best to just become a Democrat? They reward loyalty, their opposition is largely controlled by them and they're too entrenched to really beat in the first place. I don't exactly fancy being purged when they criminalize ICE, the GOP and then everyone on a Republican voter roll.

It has been less than a year and before Covid Trump had pumped the economy to a good place, He is trying to repair the damage from Covid (which was partially Trump's fault, that Biden never fixed) along with Biden's retarded bullshit.

practically? yes. principally? i find them morally reprehensible and would rather kill myself than participate in the evil they put out into the world.

The argument is that under Kamala we would have even higher prices. It’s not something that can be proven. Once you open the Pandora’s box of a trillion dollar stimulus, you can’t take that inflation back. You can slow down inflation, but you can’t reverse it unless some major economic shift and pains occur.

That said we’re still getting fed lies about how something will lead to inflation, like the tariff lies. But where has that actually happened?
