Valve introduces Steam Deck

I really want to like AMD's GPUs but always seem to have weird issues with their stuff. :'(
not much different than nvidia where drivers suddenly run like ass, you have to backdate driver for certain games and if you don't get the latest one for nvidia optimiziationsⒸ there's a good chance will run like shit, look like shit or both.

in the end they are both shit who want to fuck me in the ass, but only one is kind enough to bring lube.

Except for one build when CrossfireX came out, I've always used Nvidia GPUs and have never had any of those problems. And make no mistake, my experience with AMD (maybe they were still ATI at the time) was just fine. It just happened to be noticeably more rocky than my experience with Nvidia. I think by and large most of the problems are overstated and end up representing a very very small, but vocal group.

That was a good system though. I got two of the HD5770 when it came out and ran them together. Shit was tight. That was I guess around 2010? And before that I had an honest to goodness Crysis killer of a system. When that game came out in 2007, I could run it. I built a fucking powerhouse of a system that still works great to this day. It was a great project. All water-cooled and all custom because they didn't sell the self-contained units yet. Building computers is fun.

Uhhh... Steam Deck looks okay? I'll stick to the tried and true combination of PC+Nintendo.

Another video from the guy I posted a few days back, shows how messing round with the resolution impacts battery life. An extra 1.5h juice in Control just by dropping down the resolution and capping the framerate at 30fps.
Given this is essentially a handheld PC there is a lot of stuff you will be able to tweak to push it even further. We'll probably see autists publishing spreadsheets a couple of weeks after release detailing every single setting and tweak and what it does to performance. Gotta say, the more I see of it the more I'm thinking of getting one (provided there is stock).

Just a render but damn is it beautiful.

It's a shame clear/see through designs in electronics all but disappeared. The GBA looked fantastic imo.
Yeah, when it looks good, it looks really good. At least they've been putting out translucent PlayStation controllers over time for every console, like around the mid-late point in each one's life.

I'm disappointed I didn't get my piss-themed PS4 controller that came with a Death Stranding bundle.

the problem is certain plastic at some point looks like @Pissmaster's post, after people sweat into it for hours. don't even have to be filthy (quite a few people are tho)

depending on popularity setting how big the third party market is they sometimes offer clear cases as replacement.
