Uh, they fumbled the original.

I mean I personally liked it.

How are the private servers anyway?
2038 is a pretty solid server, but it's the only one I have experience with, so I can't speak to the others.

As for the new game, I'm trying to remain optimistic.

So basically WETA, the studio responsible for the effects of Lord of The Rings, is working on a Middle Earth game. Before I could even get excited I discovered that it's a fucking farming game that has the graphics of BotW. This latest disappointment in the Middle Earth franchise is set to release later this year.

Middle Earth bros can't seem to catch a break.

About 50-60% of the way through Unicorn Overlord and it's still fantastic. Cannot recommend it enough if you ever played and enjoyed an Ogre Battle game. Also playing through Like a Dragon: Ishin! as I make my way through the franchise and am enjoying it, though I doubt I'll engage much in any of the particularly grindy stuff.

finally, the content we've been waiting for
Two things don't make sense here.
  1. Why would any studio on planet earth assume that a "cozy" Middle Earth game could be successful?
  2. Why is the studio that did the state-of-the-art visual effects for the two Peter Jackson trilogies working on the game? Literally anyone else in the gaming industry could make this.

The Terminator RTS is pretty good, if brutal. Worth picking up, it's also fun how the missions unpack as you progress.

lmao I just downloaded Diablo IV for the first time through gamepass and literally every class on the opening screen is a nigger. I really, really, don’t want to be the weirdo obsessively malding about niggers in video games and movies but jesus fucking christ lmfao
It's funny too cause they could literally just make it automatically have actual equal diversity. But no, it's often all-nonwhites.

Not sure where to ask, might as well do it here

Ive never gamed on a PC before, and ive been thinking about finally making the jump. What would you guys recommend getting? I'm open to building my own as well, just need to know what should i look for

Well what kind of games and graphics are you aiming for? Like 1080p, 2k, etc? Are you going to be playing the latest fps and openworld games or stuff that came out like 2 years or later? What is your budget?

I just shill Steam Deck. It's affordable, strong enough, and easy to use.

Well, I would say the best idea would be to decide on a budget regarding the PC. If you already have a good idea what you would like to play in the next couple of years, that can also help to pick a rough level of hardware. And then you can google a bit and see if there are prebuilt PC's that would be a fit for you. But I would still recommend building the PC yourself since you need to get familiar with the hard and software nonetheless.

Steam Deck could be a good alternative because you can tinker with it as well. Changing OS and installing mods and emulators etc.

How much are you willing to pay for a graphics card?

edit: and when, at what point in the future, are you willing to spend the same(or more) amount of money for a new graphics card?
