I finished Rise of The Tomb Raider the other day.
Yes I know the Kaiser isn't an up to date gamer at all.
Absolutely loved it, vast improvement over the first one, no stupid/time waster character devices, the plot was strong and the story was compelling. It's a shame that there wasn't a bit more involved with the Undying Army and Jacob's backstory/motivations but it was a a solid 10/10 game for me. And I actually hated the original Tomb Raiders.
What it made me also remember was just how much fun Tomb Raider was aside from the dopey side characters and some poor plot points/writing and the never ending quick time events.
So why was the film adaptation so terrible? I'd really like to hear peoples thoughts on this, or was it just me being picky, but I though the film adaptation ultimately was underwhelming compared to the original IP?
