Anyone got any thoughts on "Squirrel with a Gun"?

I've taken a look at it myself; it's basically just a game where you play as a squirrel with the ability to attack secret agents, steal their guns, and shoot them. Fairly basic open world, plot's fairly nonsensical, something about a secret agency creating golden acorns for... whatever reason, and the squirrel deciding to steal them. You can also collect outfits and skins for your squirrel, though they don't really offer any bonuses. It's a game based on LOLRORANDOM humor, essentially.

I'm torn on it myself; I played it a little bit, wasn't all that impressed but I am willing to give it another shot. General consensus I've seen with reviews is that, while the game isn't high art or the next Half Life, it's still a goofy little "fun" game designed more as a sandbox for screwing around in than anything. That said, there's been a roadmap drop:

Little bit... hesitant... on the future of the game, especially since there's a faggot update for this coming June.

That said, what do you guys think? Worth getting the game again, or no?
The "Squirr-LGBT" update is a massive red flag. If you desperately want to play it the only morally correct route is piracy.

This sort of game loses its appeal quickly, and the fact that they have a whole update slated for alphabet people is enough to turn me off entirely. It's one thing to just have a rainbow flag cosmetic in a game, but this? Not a good sign.

Yeah, I played the game previously; it was... decent, but I didn't get too far into it before dropping it. Aside from the "quirkiness", the game was pretty much... empty, really.

The faggot update is the nail in the coffin, really.

I finished the base game of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and it's probably my least liked Ubislop title. I care less than nothing for the property and the gathering/crafting was irritating more than anything else. I did enjoy taking down bases and some of the story missions, but that can be said for any other Ubisoft game, it's a formula they have down pretty well.

The narrative of "human colonizers bad" hits you over the head even harder than the movie did (though it's been years since I last saw it so maybe I'm misremembering) with the main villains being literal carbon copies of the ones from the movie except amped way up in mustache twirling evilness. Of course they found a way to insert mandatory LGBTQ characters, and even went as far as giving one of the Na'Vi a prosthetic arm.

The game looked really good, and shooting felt more or less okay. The great bow (sniper rifle) and shotgun make all other weapons pointless in how overpowered they are, there are annoying minigames every time you hack something or gather something, and the "Na'Vi vision" that's supposed to let you tag enemies and spot gatherables/animals in the very dense and green locales sucks. Rather than just give you Arkham vision it's a small directed circle that you have to hold on things for a second before they highlight. Super frustrating when you're trying to gather specific shit.

I started the first DLC but like 15 minutes into the first mission I was like "nah" and noped out. Maybe I'll go back to it to finish them for completions sake but I needed a break from blue aliens.

Moving on to The Division 2, an actual fantastic Ubisoft game, and Dynasty Warriors: Origins.

i gave RDR2 another try and im actually kind of enjoying it despite my initial nitpicks (Auto-Aim trivializing combat for example) in my first playthrough, also ive kind of given up on most games with a PvP Mode, I just end up getting annoyed by bullshit the other team does. its more fun with games that just let you just play alone or optional matchmade co-op imo

div2 is shit tho. pales in comparison to div1 and has been properly mishandled in every aspect. the game was such a fucking bomb after launch most people don't even know massive outright lied about nerfs ("you just don't understand RNG") and then required you to pay another 30 bucks for a proper "fix". yeah, sure, you could not buy warlords, but that's like sticking with vanilla WoW when burning crusade came out.

breakpoint of all games is a better overall game now (and has been for a long while).

As someone's who played Div 2 recently, yeah, the game's not doing great. The plot is beyond ridiculous - I unironically had an easier time following Kingdom Hearts - the gameplay is extremely dull, and the weapon/skill balancing is beyond fucked. My RNG was never great even back in Div 1, and it's only gone downwards with Div 2; getting a build made is frustrating when the game just doesn't drop what you're looking for, and it doesn't help that the meta keeps changing and gear keeps getting nerfed.

It's gotten to the point where I just stick with Div 1, really.

I definitely prefer Division 1, but I still enjoy the gameplay loop of 2. Breakpoint was much harder for me to get into.

Breakpoint had the potential to be a great, relatively casual, mil-sim shooter with some survival mechanics; instead it removed basic features that were present in Wildlands and added leveled gear. I cannot express my hatred for leveled gear enough and it never should've been in the game in the first place. I'm glad it's in a better state now but it was hot garbage at release.

Oh boy, this is next-level virtue signaling..

I saw this last night and was surprised anyone was actually excited for the game? It's being made by a nobody studio with 4 people in it who have only made a few games before, all of which are PS4/5 exclusive and all of which reviewed poorly and look like shovelware asset flips. Is it just because people are hungry for a new Dino Crisis? Did anyone actually watch the trailer? It looks awful.

I wasn't even aware that RDR2 had auto-aim, also nobody plays RDO anymore because Rockstar completely abandoned support for it. It's a single-player title, I don't know why PvP even enters into the discussion when speaking about RDR2. It's not a perfect game, but it's probably my favourite AAA title of the past decade. What it does well it absolutely nails. It deserves its praise.

Literally who. Never heard of this game. Sounds like some dumb gay drama meant to artificially drum up controversy and attention. Who cares. "Ps5 exclusive?" Yeah, see you on PC in like a year. Nobody buys Sony consoles for exclusives anymore, their supply chain was totally broken during Covid and anything that's actually good that's released on their platforms inevitably comes to PC later on anyhow (Bloodborne any day now :'^) )

I meant pvp games in general but yeah Rockstar doesn’t care about RDO and that’s honestly for the better, I pretty much only play Singleplayer games now, as I’ve gotten older any PvP in any game Has just gotten more frustrating

Squirrel with a gun - I'd like to think squirrels would hate the alphabet set.
Squirrel gender affirmation would just be a bullet to the head.

Avatar - Let me guess, the cowards won't let you play as the eeevil human colonizers?
Those blue fuckers are the same as argonians. Kill their tree before they level up or you're in for a world of hurt.
I already played a series with a parasitic hive mind, it was called halo. The answer to one rising up is an exterminatus.
