So, the upcoming EarthBound-inspired indie RPG #10000, otherwise known as Knuckle Sandwich, has decided to add the revolutionary feature of giving you the option to skip battles — you know, the main thing these types of games are based around — and still earn XP for the sake of “accessibility and replayability”. In other words, you can still get rewarded for not playing the fucking game.
The only people who would actually benefit from this are scrubs and lazy journos. I’m sure that in the future, game devs will remove the ability to do anything but walk for the sake of “accessibility“, and who knows, maybe you won’t even be able to do that.

Very much considered buying this due to the good graphics and music even though the humour was mostly fucking terrible but I stopped when I read his twitter and it was full of the usual social justice whining.
Most of the jokes are either really lame in an indescribable way (What if we had a shop where all the items had "BUTT" at the end of them!) or stock "adulting is hard" crap (I have to have A JOB?!?! AT A BURGER SHOP?!?!?!?!?! HOW CUH-RAZY IS THAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!)
E: Also lol the creator got mad when people asked why everyone had tumblr noses and he kept calling them muppet noses instead

Going by the colors of everything they probably didn't even figure in a colorblind mode. Like that's something needed for actual accessibility.

Finished Man of Medan. Not great overall. I love these silly QTE 'your-choices-matter!' games, Until Dawn was good and the haunted ship setting sounded fun but the game is just a tad lacking.
The camera is a huge pain in the ass because it is a fixed angle with contextual movement so you'll constantly end up doubling back on yourself or walking the wrong way when it switches. The dialogue is well-acted but is fit together really poorly between sentences. People will change tone and emotion from line to line (i know this is an element of the branching narrative style of game but it is handled really poorly here). A couple of scenes minorly bugged out on me where people repeated lines or two slightly different versions of the same thing happened. It very obvious that they didn't have the same budget they had when developing Until Dawn.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the QTEs are really fucking punishing both in how quick they are and in the consequences for failing them. I got 3 of the cast killed by failing a single button press during QTEs they were involved in. There was no "you fucked up that bit so we'll make the next bit harder/different by having your character be injured or fall over, fail again after this and they get killed". Nope, it was literally just "whoops, too late, you fucked that one press up so that person is dead now. enjoy the rest of the story with them missing!".
I still want to try the next game, Little Hope, but i'm tempering my expectations a bit so i'll either wait for it to also come to Gamepass or get heavily discounted.

It's not that strange, programming something interactive with visual results is a good way to get into programming without getting bored. You wouldn't believe how uninterested kids are in making SQL front-ends for my DVD collection.

Are there any good FPS games with customization (either character or weapon, idc)? Bored out of my mind right now.
They do this sort of thing because the platform makes a whole lot of money selling sex-weird garbage games to various woke degnerates.
They don't want to be declared a Literal Hitler and lose out on sales of the visual novel "Genderfluid Transracial Ponyfucker Extravaganza 5".

Just a random opinion: If any video games were to be made based off of a movie that would also win GOTY, it would be Inception and Tenet, with both of them being in the open-world genre.
