I've been playing this game called "low magic age". It's pretty fun. Kinda like Neverwinter Nights except turn based. I built a party of conjurers and have been steam rolling the early game. They seem OP to be honest. Fun game though, cool open world exploration with some (I believe) procedural dungeons. Could be wrong they might not be procedural, I only got like 10 hours in.

Started playing Slay the Spire again after putting it down for a long while after finally getting A20 (the rarest steam achievement I have, cool!). I am going for consecutive wins now and I got 5 in a row (good for about 33k on the leaderboard) and then on the 6th run I thought I had a really good hand but I lost to the stupid Awakened One which is a hard boss for the Silent to beat even on A1. I didn't have any energy relics and that totally fucked me once he started throwing out his voids.

takes me about 45 minutes to an hour on a successful run so it will be min 6 hours until I can get a chance to get 6 in a row. Some people can easily reel of runs of 30-40 those people are insane. I'm pretty good but the math at the higher levels is beyond what I can do in my head perfectly.

I’ve never played Destroy All Humans! before, but recently the PS2 prices for the game are going for relatively really cheap prices. (I’m talking about $5 to almost $10 at an online place I frequently visit to.)

I don’t know if it’s because due to the recent remaster of the game that came out for the Nintendo Switch, but I might just buy it on the weekend. If anything, I hope it doesn’t sell out. The game looks fun.

It's been a long time since I played them since I lost my PS2, but I'd say go for it, I think I replayed 1 and 2 like 10 times when I was a kid, they were fucking great, 2 being my personal favorite. I need to get around to replaying them again since there's a lot of adult humor in the game that flies over your head when you're a kid. Sucks we never got a proper sequel to them

For the thread, I've been no lifing RimWorld while KF has been getting attacks from the dilation stations, and I never realized just how many mods there are for the game, it has to be up there with Fallout/Skyrim in terms of gameplay changing mods and pretty much a mod for anything you could think of.

Just get the remakes. They are better anyway. I played both DAH 1 and 2 in the late 2000's. I 100% them both. They are on the small list of games I bothered to do a 100% completion. Of course, they look better but they also fixed some issues, and both the remakes are 100% accurate to the originals. I think there was one line in the first remake that some faggot said was offensive and they removed it. It's not a huge change. I think whoever it was found a new job or something because the remake of DAH 2 is all there. Even the female KGB agent that looks like a bimbo with a tiny waist and huge tits. I have both the remakes and have played them. I played more of the first one because I have had it since it released in 2020.

Here are some videos comparing the remakes to the originals.

Destroy All Humans 2 remake cut a mission about a tranny didn't it?

If you have an OG Xbox, definitely shoot for that version. Otherwise the PS2 copies are fine - they just won't look or play quite as good.

And no, don't get the remakes lmao. Fuck remakes; long live the classics.

fellas, i need more co op PC games or mods that really feel like you and the boys are going on an adventure. like divinity original sin 2, the multiplayer morrowind mod, the co op rain world mod, you know. stuff like that.
if you're into left4dead strange brigade is literally that (although I'm biased since I was on a zombie army 4 binge during the downtime and enjoyed it way too much). only buy those on sale those, but those happen often enough (check ITAD for where and when it happens).

Fuckin FINALLY, Airdorf unblocked whatever was in the pipes.

I can highly recommend Jupiter Hell, there was a thread for that game but search is down so...

Do you like DoomRL, the Doom rogue like? If you say no it's because you haven't played it. It's free.

Jupiter Hell is the spiritual successor(they don't have the Doom license) and it is great. It's a rogue-like not a rogue-lite so you ain't getting shit when you die. Get weapons, perk, artifacts, upgrade them, make weird shit!
Something I really like is that there are terminals here and there, you can read e-mails, they contain lore or clues to interesting exits in the future.

I like it because it is like playing solitaire, you make a gamble and if it doesn't work out you start over.

Stadia's dead. Please contain your shock.

We will be refunding all Stadia hardware purchases made through the Google Store, and all game and add-on content purchases made through the Stadia store. Players will continue to have access to their games library and play through January 18, 2023 so they can complete final play sessions. We expect to have the majority of refunds completed by mid-January, 2023.

Well, at least they're giving all the money back. Would be nice if it worked that way for all failed consoles.

Last week I wanted to play something and gave Syberia 3 a try since I heard good things about it.
First conversation is literally "Nazis are evil". Then the first puzzle is "do what the game outright tells you to do". This is followed by time skip to the present where the heroine has lesbian buzz cut and she is in Putler's gulag along with Pussy Riot.
Turned off the game and swore off playing any "adventure game" created in the last decade. Absolutely fuck modern gaming.

Syberia 3
there's a reason hardly anyone talks about it, not even the fans of 1+2. the world before is apparently better, but never see anyone talking about it.

there are still good adventure games out there, indies usually can't afford to go full retard and they don't have to bow to any HR troons or ESG management.
some of note which got released recently or soon™:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1269640/Beacon_Pines/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1293730/Broken_Pieces/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1909750/Last_Time_I_Saw_You/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1201270/A_Space_For_The_Unbound/ (prologue is free and already available)

I played the demo for those and certainly gonna pick them up at some point. the flaws of broken pieces I can accept because it was made by like 5 guys, and what I've seen so far prolly makes up for it (ymmv).

there's also https://store.steampowered.com/app/1172190/Chinatown_Detective_Agency/ (another demo I played), dunno if the technical issues have been properly fixed apparently not, so I'd wait for an update to the save system. the "real world" clues similar to secret world might not be everyone's cup of tea either.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1042490/Call_of_the_Sea/ is on my radar too (more walking sim with puzzles tho) since it's getting a VR version.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1094920/Hazel_Sky/ is another one, but I'd advise to give it a spin first and buy it on sale since it's rather short.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1612780/The_Centennial_Case__A_Shijima_Story/ haven't played that one, but looks interesting just for the 90's FMV nostalgia

honestly I'd just binge steam next fests, most of them I found there. some deadalic games were pretty fun too. and a new monkey island came out as well (no idea how pozzed it is tho).

Sorry, I meant the World Before. I think the worse thing about current adventure games is the nonexistence of puzzles. I'd rather have moon logic puzzles of past adventure games than playing a literal movie that I might as well just watch and have random choices that don't matter.

Playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Never have I tried collecting all the collectibles in a game. I think I'm nearing the end of the campaign, though.

I've liked the Wadjet Eye games, one of them even had a troon thing that felt more appropriate than any other game.

Deathloop is on Gamepass and I've been playing it, it's pretty good. The writing stinks of twitter and woke people thinking "let's make dialogue wacky!". Ignoring all of that it's a really good game. The trailers and E3 reveal misrepresented what the game actually was. If you like Thief/Deus Ex and games like that I can recommend it. There is a really good idea behind the time loop that plays well with the "immersive sim" genre. It's just a lot of the writing...
