Wartales is out of early access on Steam, anyone have any experience with it? Looking for something to scratch the Battle Brothers itch.
Got about 10 hours into it and so far pretty good imho.
Didn't play the EA jumped in on a coworkers recommendation and was pleasantly surprised and the devs seem interested in adding more.

Have you had any technical issues with it? I wanted to try it out, but I couldn't go 5 minutes without the game suddenly doing stuff like minimizing, re-opening, textures de-loading, image freezing, etc. Tried updating my drivers and all that, but no dice. It was a shame, cause it seemed like it'd be a game I'd like.

I just looked it up on Steam and it looks cringey as shit. A lot of diversity that looks forced. But that's not the only cringe I see. It looks like those other games that came out over the years that were cringey and filled with SJW shit. Like the last Far Cry game the Saints Row reboot and so on.

Can't say I entirely disagree; that being said, I'm going to wait until the actual game comes out before I pass judgement. Maybe it'll be a hidden gem, maybe it'll be complete shit; I don't know, I hope for the former, but the latter wouldn't surprise me at this point, sadly. Still, it's not out yet, so I'll wait until then.

Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal.

I REALLY need to give one of these two a shot these days...

I had the same reaction.
"It's a L4D" - I don't care
"It's an immersive sim" - Now I care

Arkane have been absolute shit at getting across what their last few games actually are supposed to be.

Yeah, Arkane really hasn't done all that great with their past few games; Deathloop had an interesting concept, but got undercooked. I'd love for them to really get their crap together.

Mind explaining what's going on?

I was driving my car around in Scarface, got out and the NPC in the pic approached him. You can intimidate different NPCs in the game for either less Gang Heat or more BALLS (gang members, random civilians, etc.).

Pic with that trans NPC followed.

I liked Deathloop, for me it took a kiwi effort post to explain what the game was. In the reveal it seemed like a... Dark Souls invasion type of thing with a suspicious smell of live service.
The problem is that a lot of the dialogue/monolgue/quips/item descriptions is... It's often like letting tumblr users write an AVGN episode full of swears but not the forbidden ones or combinations of swears that would be haram to the woke. That part is not organic or natural.
But the game is really fun and engaging, the core idea and gameplay loop is actually really good.

Just started Yo-Kai Watch 3 on emu the other day and it is fucking bizarre. Everyone memes about "being the American the Japanese think you are", but they're really not lying. It's hilarious and super weird to see how the Japanese see us in really blatant terms like this. I get that some of it is overexaggerated since YKW is a pretty bizarre and lighthearted series from the get-go, but basically:

The main character, your average Japanese kid (who already looks pretty fucking american but that's besides the point), moves to a country called "BBQ" (specifically a town called St. Peanutsburg) where every other person is black (or fat) and EVERYONE speaks in a very heavy southern drawl.
Literally the first thing that happens after the mandatory introduction to the series' core game mechanics and lore is the main character being bewildered by a foreign accent and shouting a random English phrase very enthusiastically back to try and communicate. He is completely unable to talk to the locals until he gets the help of a "'Merican" Yo-Kai to translate for him.

The currency is "bucks", school cafeterias sell donuts and cupcakes, and there are prominent side characters that heavily parody the X-Files and work for the "FBY". Almost every single piece of music somehow incorporates whistling, a banjo, saxophones or an electric guitar. The secondary protagonist is a massive weeb (who lives in Japan but that's besides the point) who pairs up with a bunny in a spacesuit who's noted to look like an alien robot and is also 'Merican because god be damned if the Japanese aren't going to mention America without BUTTLOADS OF ALIENS (this is a very good thing, I enjoy it greatly)

Here are a few snapshots lol

None far. Been playing mostly on my laptop and one thing I noticed it makes it go into like over drive.

I did have one crash which was likely due to me having stuff running in the background not realizing it.

Other than that it's been pretty good and responsive and looks good.

Picked up Shadows of doubt yesterday to try it.

Solo dev procedurally generated Immersive Sim in a cyberpunk noir setting. Only an hour in but so far its quite impressive with the NPC's having full daily routines and a lot of the apartments being fully interactive.

I'm only playing the tutorial case right now but I find myself getting distracted by all the small details you can fuck with like talking to NPCs breaking into apartments and just causing mayhem. It is early access and a little jank but its lowkey the sandbox dues ex game I always wanted.

A review for it

having just tried out ghostrunner on the PS5 i'm impressed that it managed to make me think to myself "oh no, oh no this is bad!" in the exact same way ruiner did. do hacky cybercunt hotline miami devs have some sort of fruity secret club discord server?

Tried the Street Fighter 6 demo. It runs very well on max settings, and World Tour looks like an awesome game mode.

Pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition when next paycheck comes.

the bigger question is it just a translator being funny again, or is the same as the nip original?

already had it on my wishlist, reminded me of cloudpunk. gonna wait till it's out of early access tho.

I can't confirm it 100%, but I can tell you that the tweeting monster and space bunny alien are legit just from their designs. That stuff doesn't get changed on localization at all afaik

also, why does edit/delete menu sometimes appear on some of my posts and sometimes not?......

I, too, crave some good golf vidya. I 100%'d GTA5 years ago, but it remains installed so I can play golf occasionally and listen to self radio. Been hooked on golf games since Microsoft Golf 3.0. I miss MS Golf and the Links franchise. Jack Nicklaus's Perfect Golf is also decent. But I don't really want online play or microtransactions. I like the old school PC golf games. Tiger Woods, EA Games and 2k sports can suck scrote.
EA just added a three point click system via a patch. Waiting for EA Play.
