Is NMRIH2 a wannabe dead by daylight?
nvm a Left 4 Dead copy
Comparing the original the thing that made it stand out was that it was a more difficult version of l4d2. You have to get very good at melee due to ammo being scarce, and getting bit once means your infected and pretty much fucked for the entire game unless you can find a steady supply of pills or an ultra rare gene therapy injector. Also, if you are infected PVP protection gets turned off for you and theres a 50/50 chance a team mate will murder you when no one is looking for your items.

NMRIH2 is just a worse rip off of l4d2 with nothing unique other than the maps being open world.

I'll take this opportunity to hawk Darktide as a worthy l4d ripoff/clone/successor/whatever. It's completely different than NMRIH and will not scratch that itch but it's very hectic and high energy, and two years after releasing in just about a sorry state as can be weathered, is finally feature complete.
Vermintide is actually a better game but it's pretty dead outside of autistic modded lobbies which are fun but extremely new player unfriendly.

Or just revisit L4D2. If you are bored, play something of an oddball map (Glubtastic).

The site where I am currently installing it has a maximum downloading speed of 500kb/s. Anything above that is a subscription.
well that explains it. try getting around that with a prepaid card so they dont charge you after a single use, assuming no free trial

Has nothing to do with either of them. The site where I am currently installing it has a maximum downloading speed of 500kb/s. Anything above that is a subscription.
If by installing you mean downloading, you're probably picking bad host sites to download from. MegaUp and 1Fichier are the ideal if they're ever an option in terms of speed. If you actually mean installing, you probably downloaded a repack, where the whole idea is the shrink the download size so people with shitty internet can download it with the tradeoff being it takes forever to actually install.

EDIT: I've never used Steamunlocked, but the whole "download it all at once pre-installed" thing seems like a crappy trade for miserably slow download speeds. When I need to pirate something I typically use IGG-Games since I can't be assed messing with VPNs to use torrents.

Anybody played Metal Max Xeno: Reborn, or Evil Tonight? Thinking about grabbing one of these, not sure which is better.

Started playing The Silver Case and after 40 minutes returned it. Holy fucking shit it managed to annoy me more than worse/woke games in such a short time. It has absolutely horrific typewriter sound every time a text box appears, the controls are arse, and the first "puzzle" is having a simple cypher only it'ss a fucking pain to calculate it in your head (its letter plus one plus current word length) because rather than a simple 4 letter word it need to be 15 letters long and you need to do it four times, with the fourth time needing to find a random word on the screen and hope to god you got the right one and didn't put it wrong or it's a twist where you need to translate it opposite.

Just fucking waste of my time.

AOC is going on Twitch to play Madden with Tim Walz:

Hey, remember Yooka-Laylee, the Kickstarter scam game that was looked and played like a knockoff of Banjo-Kazooie and was forgotten within a few years?

Well, get ready to buy it again with Yooka-Replaylee, the graphics-enhanced remake!

Real talk this is probably going to be like Braid where they discontinue it so they can sell it at a higher price but at least Braid was more than 10 years old.

Good to know, I'm still interested but I'll probably just watch a playthrough now.

Didn't they remove a JonTron cameo to virtue signal? Decent game but fuck them.

I have three problems with that.

1. These screenshots are never as good as the final product.
2. It looks straight out of the brown and gritty era, the same as Grand Theft Auto IV. New York at its worse (I assume that's what they're going for) never looked that bleak.
3. In addition to working against a format of games (open world) that is now long in the tooth, what hinges on being good or not is if it's actually fun. Protip: no game that advertises itself as a "[popular game] killer" does well. "[Popular game] with [x]" can.

You're going to tend to get an exaggerated art direction in video games than total realism.

I don't think they described themselves at the GTA VI killer, it was Notebookcheck.

There's going to be a certain level of stylization to fit with consistency and not to overload textures/etc. but the brown is just so ugly. SimCity 4 had a certain level of brown/grit to it (and pre-rendering has a very distinct look and feel to it) but never overwhelming.

Joker made Gotham look similar to that with just being really run-down with trash everywhere but the point of it was that it was an economically depressed city on the verge of complete breakdown, and even then it had that elevated comic book feel to it. (At the end of the day, it's Batman, and there's always an element of silliness of Batman).

That's why the plot is so important. A bleak, shitty streetscape wouldn't be so bad if we got to be some vigilante notBatman and start cracking skulls.

Its just click bait, in the article it says the devs say its not a GTA type game.
