I really don't get the love for Mullet Madjack. The writing is obnoxious, the story pointlessly edgy, and when you can disable the protagonist's voice acting with a literal character upgrade, and similarly silence his support girl...yeah, that ain't showing confidence.
I get it's probably not my thing, but I don't understand why people went nuts for it.
For me what put me off is how bad it emulates 80s and 90s anime. It's like the game was based on asking a zoomer to prompt an AI for 80s anime retrowave.
I could forgive the parties involved if the games were fresh-looking.
But finding out the new FromSoft game is ANOTHER battle royale has me unreasonably upset and annoyed beyond words. Mainly because I WAS curious and then I find out it's slop and I am very displeased with FromSoft hoping I don't notice it's slop.
Lost their balls, lost their brains, how do these clowns remember how to fucking breathe?!
If fromsoft has the balls to not makes something to pander to the Dark Souls crowd, I'll be all for it.
I remember really liking this game. Never seen anyone talk about it. That is all

The movie, while a bit of a cult classic now, was hated at release. At least in the UK. I haven't seen the film in years myself, but I remember it being a movie where everybody British acts dumb so the plot (Americans save the day) can happen. I want to say this was common in World War 2 movies of the time as well, and was mocked in the movie "Churchill: The Hollywood Years."
As for Reign of Fire. I liked the dragon and vehicle designs, and the concept of modern vehicles vs dragons is a fun one. Never played the game though.
I'm browsing the Internet when I stumbled across a title called Metal Wolf Chaos. A FromSoftware Xbox exclusive where in the year 2004, you're the President of the United States in a mech fighting for American freedom against the Vice President... I think. Has anybody ever played it? If so, is it a good game? What kind of game is it?
I have it. I liked it. It's an action game that takes some amount of getting used to. If you're in the mood for some PS2 era jank and game design. It's worth a look. Get the PC port though as trying to get it for other systems used to be a hassle.
The game is hilarious. This is both a blessing and a curse. It went viral on YouTube thanks to a super best friends video, but it did mean there was enough demand for an english release of the game. It being a pre-Souls FromSoftware game makes physical copies a collectors item.
And to be clear. I like it a lot, but there will be moments where you have to hit your head against the jank. Be it dodgy level design, or a shitty boss fight. It's good when things are playing as intended, but just be aware there will be speed bumps.
