Are videogames for children?

I'm truly fascinated by how rapidly CDPR has fallen in people's eyes, it seemed faster than Bethesda back in 2018.

I never even played the game, was it really as much of a shitstorm as Fallout 76's first year?

bethesda had years of memes and goodwill, while people still knew what a shitshow their games are technically (but still enjoyable enough). no on really expected anything else from fo76, and the smarter ones could see from a mile away using their usual engine for multiplayer of all things would be an utter disaster, so it was hardly a surprise.

CDPR was the new golden child with what, one big game under their belt everybody jumped on because people couldn't shut up about it? it was a bubble and cyberpunk fell victim to it's own hype (which CDPR happily fed), leaving behind an appropriate impact crater.

This generation is probably going to be the most expensive to get shit from in years to come.

All the Xenoblade games are now commanding insane prices, especially the physical edition of Torna.

Ever since Japan Studio was closed Gravity Rush Remastered is now really really really fucking expensive where as before it was just really really expensive

13 Sentinels wound up selling 400,000 copies which meant there are none to be had in the wild, it's now their second highest selling game behind Dragon's Crown. It's also the most in demand currently and you're not going to find that shit cheap, especially the version that came with an art book.

Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2 Decisive Editions for the PS4 are now coveted.

Youtube fuckers keep doing videos on the vita, it's not helping keeping prices down for hardware and software

Console ports for games like Myst and Obduction that got released on switch and PS4 are getting up there in price. There's physical editions of some really odd ports of things you wouldn't think to be out there, but there's a whole library of weird shit that will probably jump in price.

I think if Xcloud and gamepass come to its full potential: I think consoles are finished.

You can just upload gamepass to your smart TV and play.

Streaming games will never work because 90% of america's internet is shit.

If/when the internet ever gets good enough for such a thing to occur, more people would have been burned by other digital only mediums at that point to not trust them.

You're going to have huge waves of fortnite kiddies who are going to wonder where all their money went when Fortnite shutsdown, same with World of Warcraft.

this seems super optimistic from both of you, streaming for games might sound appealing in theory but in practice it's literally like stadia, ouya and onlive. a neat niche but nothing more than that.

CDPR was way too cocky from the start, all that witcher money and polack hookers got over their heads, beth at the moment seems to be neutral because of the nu-obsidian mix under microsoft, the exclusive talk didn't make some people happy but these people are never happy with anything either way and i believe CDPR will try to fix CP2077 to a degree but the hacking and rona isn't helping much for their side, the fact that cp is fubar is not on their heads anymore and we really can't expect a no mans sky redemption arc from them since people are still bashing on cyberjank. every playthrough a new glitch to witness and don't you dare reload saves since the game handles objects like garbage...

I'm only going by what I'm seeing Microsoft doing. They can't match Sony in terms of consoles sold. But they have a shit load more money and cloud infustracture.

They don't give a shit about X series. They just want to make gamepass into netflix.

Sony worked with microsoft to make that cloud infrastructure. They've done it before multiple times even.

Picked up "Siralim 3" which dropped in EA. The game def necessitates a controller otherwise you will carpal tunnel yourself in about 10 minutes. I can't tell if I love it or hate it. It seems incredibly deep but also has a linear quest system (apparently, maybe it opens up more later on) and the dialogue is just amateurish and distracting. That said, the retro feel is nice, and the customization available seems like something that in theory could provide hundreds of hours of entertainment.

Is it me or the bejeweled 2 ost fucking slaps man this has to be the gayest shit I have said

Thats Siralim Ultimate that’s in EA on Steam. Siralim 3 has been out for a while now. I have it on my phone and have put hella hours in.
It’s an awesome series! The dev is really nice and super involved in the community.
As for the game itself, things shouldn’t be so linear forever. There is the main quest, and then as you unlock stuff you open up opportunities for more unlocks to work toward. I will warn you that the game is super super grindy. When I need to grind out unlocks I watch YouTube and kinda go on autopilot lol

Are people just in a contest to make the longest video essay on Cyberpunk 2077
If anything, Cyberpunk 2077 made me question what new games in 2021 could overshadow it. I’m still looking on future releases list, and besides the recent Super Mario 3D World/Bowser’s Fury and the recent sequel to Atelier Ryza, there’s really no game (or games) that captured Game of The Year material for me yet.

There are only two games I’m looking forward to this year. Nier Replicant, and Resident Evil Village. And Nier Replicant is just a remake of a game that came out ten years ago that I never played. What other games are coming out? I genuinely can’t think of anything else.

Personally, I am somewhat hyped for Outlaws and Legends. It's a 2v2 PvPvE heist game, where two teams of criminals are trying to infiltrate a fortress or a camp full of guards etc to get a treasure, while fucking up or killing the enemy team.

Another thing that grinds my gears in gaming is that everyone is either a gigantic pussy or assumes the worst whenever you do something even slightly controversial.

I was playing some Vermintide 2 with a friend on a lower difficulty setting, so it's pretty chill and we are just slaughtering rats and northmen with 2 random team mates. One of them is the typical Kerillian (an arrogant elf) player that just runs ahead blindly and gets downed/hit constantly and taking all of the healing supplies and chugging that shit without thinking about the rest of the team. So they die in the last phase of the level and we head to the exit.

They respawn far away and the other team mate asks "Should we get her?" and my mate just goes "no lol" in chat and I go "not worth". Granted, by not getting everyone to the exit you lose out on a WHOPPING 50 EXP from a total of 1200 or something EXP. He also goes to the exit with us without saying anything, and I thought he would find it funny or at least be neutral towards this irrelevant issue, but noooooooooooo, he's gotta do the old "Wow, this is basically bullying and you are being a dick, I am way above this and will leave before you can call me a faggot."

And boy oh boy, the spooky and devastating word got dropped. I was being "toxic". You know, I remember a time when that word actually had meaning, it was maybe like 1-2 months where this one League of Legends player got a lifetime ban (which means that they ban every account instantly when they find out you are making a new one) for leaking his girlfriend's nudes after she stole the champion he wanted to pick. Back then "toxic" meant the worst 0,1% of a community, like people having an int-list and shit. But yeah, the bastardization of language aside, everyone thinks you are out to get them, or they think you are out to get someone else so they decide to defend for something that was just supposed to be a leave-the-elf-joke that is actually pretty common in the Vermintide 2 community.

I admit, this rant is kinda spergy but this interaction made me mad for some reason.

Phantasy Star Online for the Sega Dreamcast is still a great game after all these years it’s been in existence.

Sucks you can’t play online, though *sigh*
I really loved PSO (I had the Dreamcast port), although I had problem after problem in connecting to the internet.

PSO2 is enjoyable. I only found out about its existence in the past month.

On another note, I really wish that either a remastered version or a sequel to Sky Gunner would get released. Both scenarios are doubtful, though.

Nintendo fandom disappoints again, Monster Hunter Rise is trailing way below World and Iceborne in the west and they've even started cutting the price for it at some retailers.

Being that it was supposed to be a big release this meant it drew in the Nintendo only retards. They bashed the game for not having familiar characters like mario and Link being featured in the game, people were upset that there's no cameos of animal crossing characters or pokemon, they're basically hating on it for not having enough FAVORATE BRAND labeling throughout the game.

While it's being made by the GU team and they did take a few steps back with the controls compared to world, it's still way more complex than Nintendo's first party fare which means a whole fuckload of people are dying to easy shit right off the bat in the demo.

Many nintendo fans think that instead of Breath of the Wild 2, Metroid, bayonetta, or F-Zero we got Monster Hunter instead and they hate it because of that.

So chalk up another series that's gone to die at the alter of the Western Nintendo fandom's retardation.

And yes Capcom was banking on this thing pulling larger numbers in the west than Japan
mhsales.jpg

Anyways they're more than willing to shell out 60 bucks for a wii port because it has a character they're familiar with on the cover, Skyward Sword HD has already done much better than anything else.

They're all the equivalent of cheesy potatoes lady

I thought it was well known that Nintoddler fans were retarded.

Rise is never going to get past World and Iceborne. These two are on the PC as well as the consoles, and their playerbase on the PC is considerable since they're the only MonHun games on that platform.
