Video Games you are looking forward to in 2024 - Is there anything to be excited by?

Definitely, but only if it still comes to PC, which I'm doubting it will now, at least not immediately.
Unfortunately they entered a partnership with Sony. It’s not necessarily a problem of platform with me as I do have a ps5, but I wonder what they’ll censor.

Not sure on the release date, but Daemon X Machina is actually getting a sequel. Hope they improve on the story a bit, I liked the first one. I'm cautiously optimistic on Space Marine 2.

It looks lean, but I was only looking forward to a couple games last year and wound up playing more new ones than I thought, so we'll see.

"modern gaming audience" means "this game will be fucking crap".

Dragons Dogma 2, for the king 2 (when the DLC drops) and BG3 when it hits a sale.

It's shit

The first minute sums up my thoughts on this trash

FF7 rebirth, first game I've pre-ordered in 25 years figured I liked remake and ill probably get more if the same with the next so why not.
The Suikoden 1&2 remaster comes out this year.

Eiyuden Chronicles (from the original creator of Suikoden) also comes out this year.

You fuckers better buy both.
Ok I know Suikoden, didn't know we were geting remasters thats cool but whats Eiyuden Chronicles? I don't look for shit online after I had Red Dead Redemption 2 Ultra spoiled for me days after it released so whats making you excited for this one?

It's a new series, inspired by Suikoden, done by the people that created it. Similar style of game, it looks great.

Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth and Like a Dragon 8: Infinite Wealth are the only things I could possibly say I'm hopeful for; I can't honestly say the last time I feltn"excitement" over a game release. But honorable mentions to any fighting game, Tekken 8 coming up, as well as the Gran Blue Fantasy hack-n-slash that's also coming out.

Modern fighting games (including Tekken Eight are just advertisements for their DLC rosters. Fighting games are dead.

FF7 Remake is a literal abortion cut out of the stomach of Square-Enix and plopped on a table in a gooey mass.

As of right now it looks like a slower year. Sure we dont know what the back half looks like but on Game Informers release schedule there is literally 1 game for the month of may right now (Hellblade 2). I havent seen the schedule look so slim for awhile. I will pick up FF7R2 and Stalker 2 looks kino but it may be a good year to chill and play some backlog stuff.

I know im sort of ironically looking forward to Suicide Squad and what will probably be the first bomb of the year that we can all point and laugh at.

I hope in Frospank 2 they add reliability and get rid of the moral faggotry, or at least add nuance.

And I also suddenly found an RPG about a Polish demonologist summoning demons to beat drunkards—The Thaumaturge. The potential is there.

Interested in playing but not day 1. Infinite Wealth, re Fantazio, Final fantasy 7 Rebirth and Dragon's Dogma 2. The first one is a sure thing eventually, the other 2 depends more on word of mouth since I can see Fantazio being a cringefest and Dragon's Dogma 2 may bore me the same way 1 did. Final Fantasy I will play but not till all the dlc is out so that may push it to 2025.

Day 1 purchases? Legend of Heroes Trails into Daybreak and the Elden Ring DLC. I'm a gigantic fanboy of legend of heroes and From Soft games.

Other stuff I want to keep an eye on is Eiyuden Chronicle since I can see it being great or a fucking trainwreck like any high profile kickstarter. Same deal with Unicorn Overlord though being a switch game it will just go into the emulation pile of it's playable on deck and has good word of mouth.

Finally, hoping to see Silksong and Metal Slug Tactics stop being vaporware. The next Deltarune chapters I'm also keen on but I can also see myself waiting for all the chapters to come out.

There is also a bucket list of jrpgs coming out this year that I'm sure a few can tickle my fancy, though realistically would rather keep going through the pile of shame. Playing Rain Code at the moment with Monster Hunter Sunbreak in tandem (and some Pokemon Clover) and want to either play the first xenoblade chronicles, Ar Tonelico or Skies of Arcadia.

Oh yeah I'm looking forward to the overall shitshow way more than any game in particular. The Suicide Squad fallout will probably be fun but I don't think it'll last long. Hopefully some group of retards, preferably industryfags or twitter leftists, beyond Rocksteady itself will latch onto it, but I think everyone already sees it as a piece of shit and knew it was gonna be a piece of shit.
