In regards to the Elora discourse, how did Vinny know that THIS image in particular was a crop? He didn't need to point it out, but he did and he inadvertently caused the Vinebooru to chug along. I had to look at the full image itself to even realize that it was a crop. It's not like there was anything on the image's comments that indicated that it was a crop. Maybe for that bit of fluff on the bottom–right corner, but anyone could mistake that for her tail.

He's been around for quite a while. He's seen a lot of fanart, and by extension, probably a LOT of porn (cropped or otherwise). It's not that far a stretch for him to have been able to identify it by sight alone. For me personally, I've never seen the full version before, but I would think that this version of it cuts off in a weird way that suggests there may be a full version floating around, and since there's rarely any reason to crop SFW art, it's not a far leap to assume that the full image must be pornographic. Vinny could have come to the same conclusion with similar logic.

Or maybe one of the mods simply told him. Lots of possibilities here.

No forum, chat or site is safe from a CP dump unfortunately.
As most things on the web, It's hard to do anything to completely quarantine and get rid of it quickly enough.

Regarding this cropped art: the full version of it was uploaded to the booru, which included the bottom portion of it. It was much more revealing- the perspective of the cropped image looks like it’s facing the front, but one could look at the full version and see what you could say is her ass I‘d guess. Nothing really that bad, but definitely bad enough to get taken down on the booru.

The thing is, the full image was uploaded just before Vin got to the art segment, so there wasn’t time for mods to delete it. However he completely ignored it, not showing it on stream and just ending on the previous art. When the cropped version was posted, and he showed it on stream the next day, he knew it was cropped.

So that’s probably why “cropped?” was written on the art that caused this whole fuss.

I kinda hope they do something special for the Vinesauce 10th anniversary, like maybe bring back some of the autopilot bumpers for the hell of it, or even open a semi-secret chatango chat for one stream, but I doubt anything like that would happen with sanitized post-Twitch Vinesauce.

There's no way the twitch/discord crowd would migrate to Chatango for even one sekrit stream. One reason being that flash is dead, the other being that they have some grudge against it.

Is it a coincidence that Vin started Vinesauce on Kurt Cobain's birthday? If I remember he was his biggest Idol back then and he's been liking and commenting on Cobain birthday tweets as well.
