Voltron Fandom - Bury your gays!

What a bunch of pussies. If they can't take a show's ending, I shudder to think how these people will deal with rejection outside.

Well, that's assuming they go outside I guess.

That’s a lot of words for “I’m a misogynistic asshole with grossly stupid high standards”, but okay.

Also lol at this woman-hating turd having an userpic with a drag queen Shiro and a pastel pink layour while crapping on a real life woman. Pft.

Did these idiots forget about Kate "Pidge" Holt or they are so dead set in making her trans?

That’s actually a She-ra character. I saw the exact same thing when I first saw the design though.

BUT SHES NOT A PROUD WOC!!!

There is now a Change.org petition to "release the original Season 8 the showrunners wanted" (...?) and it is on track to hit 6,000 signatures. The description does not disappoint.

Voltron Season 8 - Release the Original the Showrunners Wanted

Allison Bugenis started this petition to Dreamworks and 1 other

On December 14th, 2018, Dreamworks and Netflix released the final season of Voltron: Legendary Defender. Rather than receiving the original vision of the showrunners and cast, we as the faithful audience were given a messy season full of executive meddling. Beloved characters were mischaracterized, fridged, and left in the background to be forgotten. The bond between the cast disappeared.

The last-minute addition of the pre-credits epilogue brought us a crushing end to an already disappointing season. Instead of giving ends that our beloved cast deserved, executive meddling caused them to be separated and tokenized and completely out of character.

We are aware that this was not the original plan that the showrunners had for season 8, and we deserve, as an audience who truly loves the show and characters, to know what their vision and story was without the executive meddling that ruined the final season.

I torrented this show and I really want to enjoy it. I really do.

But seeing that this show is exclusively liked by mostly (exceptional) trannies, it's pretty much ruined for me. At least, the shitty fandom they make around this show.

Well yeah. To be honest the old school robot anime fans kinda hate it because the robots in it are quite frankly hideous and poorly designed. Especially when compared to the original goLion. So they all walked away bored and displeased around season 1. All that was left were the rabid Avatar/Korra fans. Never a stable bunch to begin with. And with most of the saner members of that group driven off by Korra and the nutty LGBTQRSZzzzzzs fandom that that attracted.

I think their idea of not being a token gay character is, ironically, tokenism. Shiro isn't "the gay character" which is what they wanted: someone whose entire character revolved around being gay.

Loras in Game of Thrones is a token gay character. His being gay is his only important character trait (in the show. He's actually good in the books). This is bad writing but if you fetishize gay men, you don't care .

Basically they're mad that Shiro is a character for whom being gay is a detail trait instead of the sum of his being.

Though I personally liked the streamlined look, for me, I checked out after the Atlus turned into a mech. Even after all the tests of character, the Paladins couldn't put all their Bayards together to form a true Blazing Sword/JuuOh Ken, it was always a literal sword on fire. An utter missed opportunity. It was always forming the regular sword, shield and cannon.
There was less Voltron-ing overall and more drama.
