It's been obvious for a few years now that they do this intentionally to try to make you buy the latest new plane.

Remember, it was a beginning promise from the beta days that they would never sell jets for money.
To be honest gaijins business model is interesting

Release a new feature/vehicle type/nation
charge 60 bucks for a exclusive vehicle thats op
a week later nerf the new vehicle to hell
repeat every 3 months

Yep. I remember that promise, broken like every other. As to the first part...

Yeah, that's sadly the typical business model of these games. Wargaming does that exact thing with WoT and WoWS.

It's a real shame because underneath all of the bullshit, there's a really good game somewhere buried in there. WoT was what it is from the start. I remember seeing the beta gameplay for WT and thinking damn, a much more realistic damage system (to an extent) where ambushing would matter a lot more. There were plenty of times in WoT where you get the drop on someone but because of HP bars, you'd still get slammed or come out in pretty bad shape.

The multi respawns are also great. In WoT game starts and 2 minutes later you get nailed by a random arty round? Sucks, game over. The cloaking device mechanics in WoT were also abysmal to play with. Then there's also the gold rounds....fuck. WT had (and still has) a great deal more potential to be a really great game, but they just don't give a damn and know the whales are glad to just keep meta chasing.

KA-50s are still king shit in the world of helicopters. Meanwhile all I am seeing are one-lifer TURMS that just dilute the match into a 5-minute peekaboo fest.

Started this game out 2 days ago and chose Italy just because I watched Bokoen's video on them. The wheeled vehicles are pretty neat.

The multi respawns are also great.
God, I miss when medium tanks got two spawns to the single spawn of a heavy. Heavies could be more powerful than mediums, even at the same BR, but mediums could compensate with numbers. Was a very neat asymmetrical dynamic to them.

The one lifer thing happens a lot, I put it down to new players who buy into high tier in sale time and don't know how backups work. It usually only happens when events are on, at higher tiers lately it's been bad, you wonder why the spawn camping pings are going off 5 minutes into a game and then realise you have been completely overrun and 3/4's of the team has left after dying once.

I bought the TURMS and KA50 on sale to help grind USSR since I've already done most of UK, USA and Germany. Feel dirty playing them

How fucking bad is the economy lately, I got 7 kills and 2 assists and capped on conquest (single cap Japan), with like 95% activity with the first T34 at 3.3 and got 3.6k rp.

Thinking of setting up the hotas and playing sim again.

Hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the T26E5. Going to 6.7 as predicted because can't click US tank center mass = OP as usual. T26E5 is better than a KT(p) because....reasons.....

*Edit* LMAO!!! M26 also to 6.7 in AB!! What!!!!?

I'm having fun.

So to celebrate New Years and the holidays, the friendly goys at Gaijin decided to contribute to a charity event called Play4Peace21. In it, new players that were invited by veterans could have 7-day premium with a few low-tier vehicles for free.

However, after a few days, some people, especially in reddit noticed that their 7-day premium time wasn't added and told everyone about it. Other users have also reported the same issue, to the point that the vehicles are also removed for other players. Now they have "debt" in their premium account and are expected to pay more for those who participated in the charity. Youtuber Ash007 also reported this and brought it into the spotlight.
There was also this take from the known Gaijin smoothbrain creator TheEuropeanCanadian

Can't have nice shit in War Thunder apparently, especially during a charity.

Damn I cannot stand that TEC guy.

Ash is probably whinging how the few bucks for the premium time has affected his mental health.

Speaking of that, Gaijin temporarily suspends certain decals due to these reports. Why can't we have nice things?

Honestly surprised that the company that always claims that they have access to "secret Russian specs" would lock the Z decal.

Fancy that they have """access""" when Escape From Tarkov is sponsored by weapons manufacturers and they have great details, while War Thunder's """access""" can't even grant them better interiors for bombers and other vehicles.
