So they changed from tomb kangz to wannabe edo period constructs . . . I want my giant scorpions and zombie vultures GW.

I frequent a prominent AoS forum; it's mostly a dull place where people rarely disagree and the nail that sticks up is nailed down hard. But even in that den of GW worship, these guys were pretty divisive. I never played Tomb Kings but I always wanted to. Give me a Screaming Skull Catapult over the new Doggie Chew Toy Catapult any day.

Gonna be honest here: I'm actually fine with the Death equivalent of Stormcast, especially if it's made from the fusion of carcasses and souls. However, the overly Asian nature of the characters is completely unsuitable imo. Any detractors of the Tomb Kings have no leg to stand on if they wish to defend this.

At least with the Egyptian aesthetic it made some sort of sense, with rotting mummies and scarabs, etc. The moment I heard the video's narration I lost interest. If there's anything that's not undead spooky, it's Asians terring you dey'ra takeeng your bonesu.

[EDIT]: The video in question:

Pretty goddamn disingenuous if you ask me. In the first three videos they were skirting something more quiet and neutral, perhaps sounding more Arabian. Then in that final video they went full Pandaria.

I used to play as Drukhari, and I've considered AoS too, but GW is so insanely expensive that if you don't buy any miniatures you can travel all over the whole World and you still have money for drugs and hookers left. They're literal Jews, always raising the prices each 4 or 5 years for no reason at all to scam the fans. I had fun trying 40k's 8th edition, but I already sold my army.

I may play Dawn of War once in a while though. It's an atemporal classic and a much cheaper alternative.
Lol, GW is stupidly expensive but Dark Eldar are hilariously inexpensive to play. Their best loadout it basically mono-build kabalites under multiple kabal detachments. I probably spent $300 building my 3000 point army over the years and it's easily my best performing one.

A new army just got announced for AoS and they look like shit. 😡

If you thought Tomb Kings had too much personality, and Deathrattle were too creepy, have we got a big-nosed bunch of knob-headed Bone Marines for you!

I'm pretty sure the new rules for 40k are mostly going to be endless spells translated from AoS, which is great, because no one likes them there, either. They're always either too good or completely worthless.
So..uhm....anypony else pointed out the fact their chins look like testicles?

Ah, the Warhammer IP desperately needed an injection of Family Guy, apparently.

Inquisitor Peter Griffin: "Boy, this tyranid invasion is worse than that time I accidentally declared Exterminatus on a planet because I was trying to order recaf from a servitor." *overlong and painfully unfunny cutaway gag ensues*

If you're not playing Necromunda, you're not playing the only game GW made that's actually worth the cost. Oh, and it'll actually make you want to check out odd kits and start kitbashing new and interesting things and learning some new things about GW's plastic kits.

For example, Delaque bodies are compatible with Admech arms. Go fucking nuts.

Just started a campaign two weeks ago with some friends. Holy shit this is getting ludicrous.

We have "Rackets" and "Turf". Both generate income/bonuses or other things. I'm sitting on two territories right now. My racket is -great- because if I kill someone, I keep their shit- even if I can't normally buy it, I keep their house-specific shit. I've already got throwing knives (that I turned into flaming nuclear knives), flechette gun, and a chem-launcher. Shit's about to get nasty.

I didn't build my gang for overwhelming brute force right out of the box, I built for durability and reliability and I'm biding my time. In the second phase of our campaign, I intend to come in hard with Meltas, Plasma, and... oh, yeah- RAD SHOTGUNS. Have some lymphoma, faggot.

Also Enforcers are stupidly limited on what they can do and Artel W. makes better versions of them.

The only thing keeping me from buying Necromunda is that I have no use for Goliath or Escher gangers. If they bring back Scavvies, though, I might not be able to help myself (which might not ever happen, since Cawdor adopted their schtick). The presence of Squats is cool too.

There are 4 other gangs. Van Saar (hi-tech), Delaque (spooky), Orlocks (bikers), and Cawdor (hobo zealots)
Then there's Enforcers.
Then there's Genestealer Cults and Chaos Cults.
And if you like none of the above, make a Venator gang. Which is literally "whatever the fuck you want to use as a model".

Sorry for the double post, but to give you an idea of what Venator gangs are/can be, Let me explain- they offer different stat lines and you choose the one you like best, and then you decide what their skill specialties are going to be. They make HUGE bank in a campaign, and you can run them in Dominion Campaigns and take the bonus from any other house gang.

Now, here's some examples of stuff I've used/made for friends to run:

-A Rogue Trader retinue using the Kill-Team Rogue Traders, the Blackstone Fortress characters, and
-A detachment of Necromundan PDF/Imperial Guard using IG models (third party/official)
-An Inquisitor + retinue using MOTHER FUCKING EISENHORN, 2x Scions as "Stormtroopers", and some other random guys
-An Ecclesiarchy Frateris Militia using the Blackstone Fortress Priest, the Missionary Chick, and some kitbashed followers
-Pit-fighters from Commoragh (with Drukhari masters) using Drukhari and various Wracks and other weird mutant conversions
-A 'rogue ganger cabal' using members of all 6 gangs working together
-A Kroot hunting party using Kroot models.

No, really- you could do anything you wanted, just short of something like Space Marines or Necrons.

And now that Enforcers are a legitimate faction with rules, you could use the GW ones... or the superior, more "Arbites" versions form Artel W-

Question: are plague zombies in the new edition of necromunda yet? I kind of want to spread the glorious fecund gifts of Grandpappy Nurgle to the underhive.

The main reason I played Scavvies back in the day were Plague Zombies. Gave all my guys stereotypical hillbilly names too, just to broadcast the fact that they were EXTRA inbred.

No, not quite. There are Brainleaf zombies in one mission.

However, it would be absurdly easy to make Chaos Cult dedicated to nurgle, and use poxwalkers. I made one of those as well called "Disciples of Dysentery", and used a beast of Nurgle as a Chaos Spawn.

Here's hoping the Iron Hands upgrade looks a bit better. I'll probably pick up some of these bits off a friend. Since I play Deathwatch, my goal is to make all of my Marines unique, so I'm currently working on the sergeants.

Also, patiently hoping the Black Templars finally get something. Last Black Templar upgrade kit was made like 15 years ago.

Can anyone give me the low down on a good starter airbrush and any other accessories I need to airbrush my doods/terrain?
