My buddy thought he looked like a GI Joe. I personally am reminded of that hilariously awful headsculpt Forge World gave to Gabriel Angelos. If I buy him, I'm definitely going to try and do a head swap.

7. 2 for the Ultramarines, of course, and one each for White Scars, Iron Hands, Raven Guard, Salamanders, and Imperial Fists. I assume we'll be seeing Primaris'd up Blood Angel, Dark Angel, and Spess Corgi characters at some point, probably to accompany their 2.0 codexes.

Wow, the newer models look both better and worse. I like they get better detailing, but fuck me does the Dorn stache and sideburns look like shit. Hair molding in general needs work.

I really do like the power fist, though. Looks like something that could tear the blueskin straight out of a Devilfish like a momma cat picking up a kitten.

There is a lot to like about the model, tbh. The detailing is nice and it's cool to see him packing a shoulder-mounted grav gun. I'm just not sure about that head. I really hope he either has a helmet option or that swapping it out won't be too hard.

Has anyone here actually bought Codex Space Marines 2.0? And if so, are the custom chapter rules worth bothering with?

I have, and they're actually kinda neat, tbh. You can pick two from the list, and they definitely let you customize your dudes around how you want them to work. Shooty army? They have tactics that negate the penalty for advancing and firing Assault weapons, let you re-roll ones for bolster attacks, and add 3" to the range of all ranged weapons. Vehicle heavy? There's a tactic that doubles the wounds remaining on any model with a damage table, so your tanks and dreads can soak a lot more hits before they start losing effectiveness. Melee focused? They have tactics that give you automatic wounds/additional wounds on sixes with melee weapons (you're not allowed to take both of those at the same time, though) and add 1 to your advance and charge rolls. They even brought back Preferred Enemy, though it only works for melee attacks now.

Base coat with a pale gray like Celestra Gray and then layer over/edge highlight it with White Scar.
