Prepare for 20 dollar 'special unit/character' DLC's every couple months!Thou shall not speak that name.
And with the DLC I would assume it would be the same shit that would have normally come with the game even 5 years ago but now you will have to buy piecemeal because AAA gaming company's suck dick.
The success of the Total War games really fucked over us customers because they learned that morons will spend 15 bucks to get a re-skin.
I know this is a joke, but I do think there is an interesting correlation between transhumanist ideology and trans ideology. The whole idea of ones body being imperfect and made to be remade in ones own image could be applied to either concept. Then again, both are for very, VERY different purposes>self consciously looking in a mirror and lopping off parts to be replaced with some horror nightmare parts
wait a minute, are Iron Hands just technotrannies?
With as many people as Mars dumps back into the flesh vats for recycling, or turn into servitors after coming out of the flesh vats, might be a safe assumption that they self-filtering already. Necrons have a tranny character(it's an mtf troon phaeron only mentioned by name) in one of the twice dead king books. I haven't read about any admech doing that to themselves, yet.I know this is a joke, but I do think there is an interesting correlation between transhumanist ideology and trans ideology. Regardless, yes, they are, and so are AdMech, and exterminatus of Mars may be the only solution
My perspective has always been. "It's going to take another million years, but eventually we'll win." Well.. before the Galaxy got sheered in half anyway.Since the beginning, the whole point of 40k is that the Imperium is screwed. Nothing can save it. Not good generalship, not cunning, not even more elite Space Marines with guns that look like cracker boxes, and especially not the intervention of the Emperor. Perhaps due to the nature of the Space Marine faction itself, 40k has become a power fantasy, but I prefer the opposite.
Im like the rare vanilla 40k fan that wants to consistently see competence, heroism and victory. But all the same I can appreciate the dark depressing tragedy aspects.Agreed, I don't want my dark angels to be noble knights; I want a less compassionate and more paranoid kgb
idk I need something good to happen in my fiction, it can't all be full of horrible people. That being said, I don't like ultramar being the essential good guy flagship faction for 40k.
I just don't get the fear of trannies. wtf are they going to do, beat you up? This is 40k, not women's sports.
Why would the cogboys become troons? With as many people as Mars dumps back into the flesh vats for recycling, or turn into servitors after coming out of the flesh vats, might be a safe assumption that they self-filtering already. Thorpe had a a Tech priest with something like Xir pronouns iirc. Which is a bit strange even within the lens of gender theory, as Ad mech ironically be the faction least open to it. Not much room for caring about “psychology” or questioning “social constructs” in a religion built around trying to become a toaster which regularly assigns people at birth to become servitors and Skittari. With as many people as Mars dumps back into the flesh vats for recycling, or turn into servitors after coming out of the flesh vats, might be a safe assumption that they self-filtering already. It looks like some weird hybrid of the two, something you probably shouldn't buy at full price.Already this is looking like a sequel to DoW 2 rather than DoW 1.
The difference between the Iron Hand and troons is that the Iron Hand really can achieve the strength and certainty of steel. All they have in common is they hate their bodies.>self consciously looking in a mirror and lopping off parts to be replaced with some horror nightmare parts

Between GW terrible pricing and the horrible practice of Codex's I tend to stay away from the miniature aspect of 40k.GW price model do be somethin
Iron hands also dont have a 45% chance of ACKING themselves. The difference between the Iron Hand and troons is that the Iron Hand really can achieve the strength and certainty of steel. All they have in common is they hate their bodies.
If IHs try hard enough and are good little boys for the Imperium they can become dreadnoughts and servitors, but trannies will never be women. No matter how much they chop off and suck out, the goal they want is impossible and they will never find absolution.
The end result of troonin and poonin is a shallow mockery with no purpose, unlike service to the Omnissiah.

“Uninvited…… but not unwelcome.”The World-Eaters can be goofy as shit or terrifying depending on how they are handled.
Like when Angron gets lit the fuck up inside his dropship when he lands on Istvaan III only to sprint out of it completely unfazed and looking like a feral monster with a horde of marines right behind him. That was really fucking cool.
Saul Tarvitz trying to act brave with his "The Emperors Children never run." Speech only for a World Eater captain to look him dead in the eyes and tell him to fucking run before charging straight towards Angron with zero hesitation was peak writing.
The Iron Hands are also one of the manliest chapters. It’s easy to be hot shit when you’re at the top of the food chain. It’s another to be at the bottom, beaten, defeated, humiliated and utterly ruined. Then getting up and getting back to work, just more motivated, ACKING the World Eaters muster world with a fucking moon and going scorched-earth on anybody who tried to stay out of the fight or surrendered without a fight. The difference between the Iron Hand and troons is that the Iron Hand really can achieve the strength and certainty of steel. Because its a completely different studio?Late and gay but why does Dawn of War IV have 4 factions? DoW1 had 4 but Winter Assault had 5, Dark Crusade had 7, Soulstorm had 9, vanilla DoW2 had 5 (4 only for multiplayer), Retribution had 6 and Chaos Rising had the excuse that it was Bloody Magpies focused only campaign. Really, not even Leagues of Votann (which was fucking featured in Mechanicus II).
I get that, its just that given the scale of 40k, you'd think that the factions would be more than four as the entire war has devolved into a rat race for supremacy against each other. Also where is Chaos? I'd expect some stint of Chaos given that it is consistent with each DoW game (Alpha Legion in vanilla + Soulstorm, Word Bearers in Dark Crusade, World Eaters in Winter Assault, Black Legion in DoW2 + all expansions). Also, fuck DLC exclusive factions, we don't have to go down the paypig path Creative Assembly took with Warhammer Fantasy and Total War.Because its a completely different studio?
You even mention DoW1 having 4. And DoW2 having 1 for its campaign. Is 4 a problem for campaigns a problem? Comparing past expansions to what is a base game(4) doesn't even make sense. DoW3 was shit and only had 3 factions. It isn't like they're re-using assets or anything either.
