Warhammer 40k

WORDS WORDS WORDS WORDS
I have no opinion on femstodes besides that their heads look ugly but you type like a faggot, that is all.

It's why the 40k Total War is bound to crash and burn, and whatever you add, the ground you give, the changes you make, ...it'll never be enough to appease the deranged minority until your hobby is buck broken and a shadow of it's former self.
Total War Warhammer had several periods of it being in an absolute shitty state (mostly for the release of 3) and several DLCs that were duds and still sold gangbusters, the fact that its 40k means its going to sell well if its a decent game, even a shitty one, if it releases bugged to fuck its still going to have good numbers and get more as they fix it. Because niggercattle

I'm building warp spiders and it's particularly unhinged. You'll have one leg on one sprue and the other leg on another and every bit is randomly placed like that.
And speaking as an Eldar fag we actually had a rock solid reveal for once.

Had a good laugh at the presenters dodging around the pronouns of the new seer like Neo in the Matrix. I don't think it's actually a they/them, I think they were just really confused by the briefing they got if it was anything like what ended up in the article.

It doesn't actually talk about her but about Void Dreamers hence the plural. Why make a named character without lore anyway? Who knows.
Am an Aeldari player and this made me slightly happy to see some new stuff, but I will forever be wanting Phoenix Lord Karandras.
Still meh they sort of ditched the Ynnari.

On another note:
I would love to do a custom Craftworld with some connection to the Striking Scorpions but currently am working on one with the Shining Spears as their unique unit.

Krieg are a good "entry" army for new Imperial Guard players.
I literally do not care. Kriegers are boring.
Catachans should have a refresh, but I would hope they would look more like Vietnam War era American special forces with 40k weapons and not beefcake gymbros that look like fist of the North Star villians.
Sounds like you don't want Catachan then.
Personally I think Cadians should have sidelined. Their home planet is destroyed. They're over represented on tabletop.
This I actually agree with. Cadians having the only single model, generic infantry commander is beyond lame.

Also holy crap they actually made female Custodes models, I didn't think they would bother giving them anything new.

I try not to be rude in here as it has bitten me in the ass in the past, but fuck me, you're an embarrassing consumer worm I'm ashamed to share a hobby with.
Buddy my opinion is the opinion of 99 percent of the hobby so like….sorry if you’ve walked into a community that’s too normal for you?

The only reason why they got it in a playable state is because the players chimped out (rightfully so) because they prioritized DLC and money making over getting the game in a playable state after a few rounds of game breaking changes that left the AI lobotomized.

Only when their Steam rating got clobbered into the negatives did they respond.

If GW fans allow these small indiscrepancies to become established in the 40K lore it will metastatize over time and before you know it your hobby has become goyslop.

Suppose some have to learn it the hard way but I'd rather warn and use SW, Star Trek, Dr. Who as cautionary tales, reject that shit flat out.

Let's face it. We knew femstodies were coming for a while. We got this little victory though:

Which is it's self a retcon. Female space marines did originally exist. They sold packs of miniatures that included men and women. They noticed the women packs didn't sell as well as the men only ones did. This lead to them dropping women in the original space marine line and going with all men. There was never intended to be an all male bias there, it's just the market told them what it wanted and they followed.

Give it six months and they will dig up the old female space marine art and use it to justify their new femmarines the same way they did Squats and genestealer cult.
We've covered this before. Those were what we'd later call the Sisters of Battle. They were even called sisters on the tab that went into the slot the 25mm bases had back then. They weren't even 40k minis, IIRC, they were generic Scifi minis. There were never Female Space Marines.

FemStodes: We always knew this was coming, ever since the rogue intern snuck the pronoun change in the codex and the social media intern forced their hand. They were never going to be allowed to undo it so FemStodes minis were always going to eventually come out.

Someone pointed out in the chat that their blog post talking about the new Custodes shows only Male or Helmeted heads. That's hilarious. They know damned well no one wants this except the 8% of woke retards. They're hoping enough of that 8% will buy in that it'll offset the people who get pissed and quit. Of course, then they go and post that gaslighting hectoring blog post explaining that they've always existed, bigot.

3d Printers are getting better every year.

I firmly believe those strangely feminine looking Space Marine heads in that upgrade sprue last year were meant to be Female Space Marines, too. I think the Custodes pushback and things starting to swing back against the 8% made them flinch.

They mentioned they changed the proportions of the Custodes again. I hope they're taller than the damned Primaris Marines. They're supposed to be, by a good amount. They look skinnier / thinner to me than the old ones. And what's with the Sigmarine looking armor on them? Did they literally just reuse the Sigmarine STLs as a base?

Back on topic, I wouldn't mind picking up that Red Corsairs set, but I paint at a glacial pace and I also have to fix the join in Uriel Ventris' cloak (thanks GW sprue designers) first.

On the topic of model building. I've only built two AoS armies but I didn't have too much trouble with either of them. There were a few I had issues with (ushoran's cape) but over all they seem easy to build.
Also having issues deciding on a 40k army. I've narrowed it down to either Word Bearers or Red Corsairs.
Word Bearers you can use as an HH army, use the new Corsair kits, lean into the Daemonic aesthetic, have more kitbashing potential and you have more lore.

Corsairs on the other hand lend themselves to converting loyalist stuff and making it more salvaged than corrupted and you’ll be getting content for the next while and that admittedly nice kit.

I wanna do Corsairs but I know I’d get too into it and have bits of guy’s former chapter identity on each fella, which would lead to the glacial pace, like with my EC each having an individual “fall” visible in their armor.
