Warhammer 40k

Nah. No one likes this. Progressive faggots are 8% of the world and just scream really fucking loud and block other people from talking. There were people on twitter posting that if they reacted negatively to the FemStodes they were being blocked from commenting. If you react negatively on Reddit you're permanently blocked because the Sigmarxism faggots took over the other subreddits like 6 years ago.

That's your "99 percent positive" reaction. If you're not positive, you don't get to react.

They might make money becuase the plastic line is replacing old forge world kits that people have been asking for for decades. But no one outside of the 0.000005% of the 8% of progressives in the world that play Warhammer and play Custodes will buy these just because they cucked to the faggots. They're just hoping more people buy in than those that leave over it.
Delusional nonsense that you've developed in your mind from sticking yourself in echo chambers for too long. Every new release sells out immediately, every single one lmao and so will this one and GW's profits will only continue to expand as they've continued to do while guys like you spend years swearing it won't happen. I'm sorry man but you really don't have a view of the world that reflects reality.

The actual 40k community that owns models, paints them and plays in public is mostly made up of reasonable people and not pol-scrollers and e-right wingers who spend their days huffing and puffing over the new "woke" thing. We just don't care and never did, the community only grows every year.

Aaah. We got featured. That's why we have retards being stupid at us.

Well jokes on you, we can be stupid all by ourselves, thank you very much.

I'd rather do AdMech, but AdMech is like $1-3 per point at this point. They're a horde army priced as an elite army and their rules aren't even that good. If I'm going to pay elite army prices I might as well go Custodes, at least then I can avoid the price skullfu...

... they're going to raise the hell out of the price on these new Custodes kits, aren't they?

Weird, because i remember someone somewhere mentioning GW and female custodians last year, maybe it was about a preview or something
Yeah it's (always) been part of the lore for a while now but this is the first time it's appeared on the miniatures.

Gonna be like D&D or M:tG in 5 years. Should've gatekept harder. It's 40Kover and the genestealer cults won.
The great devourer has consoomed yet another franchise. I say we have one more edition before female space marines where "always a thing".
Well, the silver lining is that it's just the custodians, and it's pretty much a head swap. It's a bit annoying since I've been enjoying HH recently, but no one in my group plays them at least. I will say it's a bit weird seeing this come out atm; it feels very mid-2010s and I would hope they stop there with it because if marines get the same treatment, I really think it will start the end of GW. I'm normally not the 'get woke go broke' type, but marines hold the company up, and I've never met a 40k fan that would be ok with it, even some leftist guys I play with.
To be fair, the models look pretty good in my opinion.

"Just pull the plug. Please."
When a black custodian woman speaks, listen and learn.

In other news, I'm probs going to just bite the bullet and start a small aeldari army with the new box, and I am def going to grab a box of those raiders to be my IW veterans.

GW and female custodians last year
There was an animation that GW produced where a Custodes makes a space marine chapter called the White Templars look like bitches. In it there is a dramatic face reveal and it showed the custodian to be some woman reminiscent of Brienne from Game of Thrones.

GW made a statement about it being kosher in the lore, despite it contradicting the custodian 7th edition codex. GW considers all sources of information given to the audience as biased even when that information is presented in the form of an omniscient narrator, so they are technically working within a framework they already established, but it was still done in a very gas lighty way and for very obvious reasons. Personally I dont think this will culture creep into eventual female space marines because the Sisters of Battle already fulfill this purpose but that may just be a cope.

There are also narrative and glance value issues of having female space marines in that GW (probably) doesn't want to let go of the Emperors vision for Astartes planned obsolescence. Most marines are supposed to be neutered in some way, I'm not entirely sure if every chapter just tazes their brain until it cant be horny anymore or if it's physical castration or medical impotence. Maybe it's just whatever the author decides, but the visual presentation of male and female marines will naturally lead the unaware to implications that romance occurs and therefore babies which is explicitly not what the Emperor was trying to do with the Astartes. They were a biological wrench. A wrench doesn't make babies and start a race of super wrenches, that's not the future for mankind he wanted. That element of GW's storytelling isn't something they'd want to put themselves at odds with

You're thinking of the sisters of silence

Although now, thanks to the retcon this line from Valerian becomes incredibly funny.

This right here is what makes me furious.

Not the retcon, not the gaslighting, not the soy-indignancy some 40k influencers had of people not liking "opening the boys club", not even that this shitty SJW inclusion only goes one way: put females in an all male army, never the reverse.

The buildup of the partnership and historical bond between Custodes and Sisters of Silence they built up in the Watchers of the Throne books was interesting and enriched the setting.
Two very different groups, the all male golden boys of humanity, companions of Big E himself, and this warrior covenant of pissed off, sulky bitches who have another part of Big E, his "anathema" status to Chaos.

One of the intriguing things about this alliance is that one group is all male, and the other one full female, and that even though the Custodes are hyper focused and as all transhumans in the Imperium beyond anything sexual or romantic, and that the sisters are universally despised for having no souls, they still have this closeness, this platonic battle-bond.

THAT is the main thing that pisses me off. GW again ruining a promising part of the lore because.... I don't know actually.

The chapter were literally defending their oaths they swore to the planet and then the custodes bitch just tells them that their hekkin prideful and that its space marine pride like that that caused the hekkin horus heresy. It is also, of little coincidence that the chapter are called the white templars (get it? because the hekkin chuds are neo nazi christian white nationalists!).

Nah, that would be the faggots who cosplay as Black Templars on Twitter. Also, ain't a wrong assestment about pride, because Horus was a prideful faggot who thought he deserved it all.

Like Warhammer 40k, play Warhammer 40k, do whatever you want with it. Just don't be surprised by anything in the future.
How bro felt posting that

It's weird how hard they keep trying to avoid just outright saying "yes they were always male but we changed it"

They really don't want to admit it so they're resorting to outright gaslighting. Wasn't there a rumor this was Amazon's doing by higher ups who wanted to meet some diversity quota for the new show?
Would the backlash be any worse than if they went with that rather than doing gaslighting (lying) about the lore? These franchises who make these sorts of changes always do the lying about the established lore route. Actually it was always like that unless you are a (insert whatever word is used to describe lore autists and hardcore fans who buy product). Reeks of spinelessness.

Anyone think this was done as means to actually get people to play 30k or even buy the Custodes minis? 'Cause if 30k ain't doing so hot and Custodes themselves are shit because their codex sucking fried nuts, this was done as sort off "Well, maybe we can least get the gooners to buy these fuckers"

Might be that explicitly stating "We were asked by them to do this" through official channels results in legally liable reputation damage of some kind. Or it was an explicit part of the deal not to divulge details. Who knows. A lot to gleam reading between the lines.

People are going to look at the retarded (?) 3.0 rules, existant grogs for 30k and/or all the people that remained in 2.0 and nope out because 2.0 is also pretty retarded in different ways, 30k was probably the worst thing to introduce this shit for (although I'm sure you can use everything for current day 40k)
