Warhammer 40k

Being 100% honest, I think the RPGs FFG printed years ago are still the best stuff GW published from a lorewide setting perspective, with Imperial Armour after it.

Sure, some novels are amazing, but those are stories; the RPGs work for the setting as a whole. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to make homebrew for Imperial and Chaos forces.

What scale is that? Asking because it doesn't look 28mm. Is it even real?

The ICE models in particular look like something from that batman game with the "35mm" toy sized figures.

Regardless of scale, I don't know what kits the ICE agents would be.
If you look at the shoulders of the "ICE" agents, they're all different. Pretty sure someone just AI slopped it together especially since it just looks like a slightly desaturated version of the first image from the warcom article just a bit desaturated and softened details. https://www.warhammer-community.com...h-leads-a-new-campaign-for-the-iron-warriors/

The IW vs ICE guy posted another.
"Fictional character agrees with me" is so weird.

Specifically craftworld eldar are tolkein elves without basically becoming their equivalent of amish like the exodites. The 90% of the population that didn't survive the birthing of slaanesh were more like the dark eldar in commorragh. If the eldar weren't mostly degenerate retards, then slaanesh wouldn't have a reason to exist. Go read some basic lore idiot, this was the case before "aeldari" became the primary name for them.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was at least most of them since they were busy doing some ritual or whatever. But it was a pretty stupid excuse to bench them for 90% of the book especially since that one came out around the same time as the first book from Hinks and Mephiston hadn't been described as being that ridiculous up until that point(powerful yes, but he's cartoonishly ridiculous in the books, even in DoB).
They are literally sexually dimorphic and have gestation cycles in the books. I'm pretty certain humans worship chaos too, only their souls in the warp are the psychic equivalent of a wet fart, so it has less impact. I get it, warhammer is your religion, and you have vigorously defend your "catechism". Take your Risperdal, sperg.

I didn't say they weren't sexually dimorphic with gestation cycles. I said they were degenerates. They didn't worship chaos to create slaanesh you illiterate retard.

I always hate it when people talk about chaos gods like they 'understand' them. In old lore chaos gods were portrayed more like forces of nature rather than physical beings. They are literally dregs of human consciousness and emotion coalescing over millenia in the warp and eventually beginning to collapse under their own mass to form something with some limited sentience - but the're still beings of pure, raw mutated energy. They exist on planes limited human brain hasn't evolved to experience or gain cognition of. Our 'understanding' of them is therefore a pathetic attempt at blindly palpating something orders of magnitude greater and more complex than ourselves. The "depictions" of four chaos gods which exist in the lore are merely products of such puny attempts. They are imagined forms of unimaginable beings. They are attempts (lore-wise) at conceptualizing something unimaginable by human rememberancers from that universe. Like iconography of actual Gods in our real world. It's an attempt at reducing something to fit in our perceptive and cognitive norms. Only in the new lore did they start talking about chaos gods having bodies and actually getting off their asses in to do shit. And that in my opinion is a bastardization of a whole concept of what a "God" is supposed to be, For me personally the old version is canon because it's cooler better and more H.P. Lovecraftian than the new ones are. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

IH Techmarine decoration done. Turns out it goes perfectly under a Maulerfiend's front left claw.

So now I'm either buying 1-2 more or a box of Heavy Intercessors to put in the Heldrake and chain up them up as decorations for my Rhinos.

Actually kinda fun to do up the bigger models like this.

Like fuck, even when we talk about "demons" in 40k we talk about red things with swords that scream real loud or big boobed ladies with huge claws. Meanwhile in OG Eisenhorn trilogy by Dan Abnett:
"It had no form, but suggested many, as a shadow on a wall or a cloud in the sky might flicker and resemble many things in a passing
moment. Inside its fluttering robes of smoke, starlight shone and teeth flashed."
A beautifully elegant description of something not in the world it's meant to exist in, registered by senses never meant to register it.

Washed, needs some cleanup still. While I'm here - things I would love from the Ork wave but that are very unlikely to happen
  • Please dear god don't let the War Trakk be a Deffkopta style fire and forget sculpt, I'd love a variety of weapon choices or alt builds
  • Have new Warbiker kit alt build as Nob bikers. Alternatively restore bike squad size back to 9
  • Only minor scale creep please, new Boyz and old Boyz are actually pretty similar in stature. I'm fine with Bosses and Nobs being a bit bigger.
  • Freeboota upgrade kit + Generic Boota boss + New flash gitz (I have no issues with current kit it's wonderful) + Badrukk
  • Grot tanks and that battleship from forgeworld
  • Wagon resculpt, maintain the old scale and elevate the 9th ed preset loadouts with their own unique bits that make them stand out.
  • Less restrictions on leaders. Better yet can we just get auras back on generic HQs
