So hey, seems we're getting Badruk back, with his own model of grots.

Trench crusade did not grab me at all since they are just trying so hard to be grimdark they forgot how only having the most fucked up concepts they can make without some sort of comedic or lighter elements just make for some dreadful reading experience.
Could have put a warning up, I wasn't expecting the troon like 3 minutes in.
It's a video involving the trench crusade community. Of course it'll have a troon in it.Could have put a warning up, I wasn't expecting the troon like 3 minutes in.
I want the Emperor's Children to get back some of the units that were removed from their new codex. Even by cult legion standards, we got gutted in 10th. They've confirmed that the new Defiler is getting EC rules, but I'd really like to have options like the Predator, Venomcrawler, Possessed, and cultists or their equivalent.More on topic to 40k. What are the threads hopes for 11th? I'm personally hoping that LoV gets fleshed out more as a faction and givin a couple more models to round out the line. For general rules, I hope flyers finally get dumpstered and we get some kind of force organization back. Specifically on flyers, Their rules have sucked in every iteration and GW seems unable to find a way to make them both balanced and viable.
More Tyranids. What are the threads hopes for 11th?
EC and TS seem very light on options. Would you take the offer of getting more access to CSM stuff by exchanging having a divorced codex for a couple of unique mono-god detachments inside the CSM book? It feels like GW tried to make the mono-god factions more unique but weirdly iced them out of some standard CSM stuff as a result.I want the Emperor's Children to get back some of the units that were removed from their new codex. I'm always happy for more new stuff. But Tyranids are in one of the best positions model line wise. They have great sculpts and most of the army is very playable, even the older plastic kits are alright(I know some have a scale issue). I've seen elite bugs and "the floor is bugs" both perform very well. But I don't play nids so maybe I'm missing some perspective.More Tyranids.
EC getting defiler, a daemon engine, just feels weird. Its just not their thing. Daemons? Yes but slapping them in constructs? More a WB, IW or 1ksons thing.I want the Emperor's Children to get back some of the units that were removed from their new codex. Even by cult legion standards, we got gutted in 10th. All CSM use daemon engines. Just like all legions used all types of marines back in the HH.EC getting defiler, a daemon engine, just feels weird. Its just not their thing. Daemons? Yes but slapping them in constructs? More a WB, IW or 1ksons thing.
They will almost certainly get bikes in the 11th edition refresh (if Valrak is right), but just need Sonic Dreads (eventually but waiting a while) and some unique Terminators (probably wont happen). A tank would be nice but dont get your hopes up. Cultists would be great if they could make them look like drug addicts or go the gluttonous route but again, dont get your hopes up. On the daemon side, i see daemonettes getting a refresh but unless theyre ambitious thats it.
Its a shame because the monogod legions can actually get fully unique ranges if GW bothered.
Whilst true, its not very Slaaneshi or EC. Something about Slaanesh and her realm that doesnt vibe well with daemon engines imo.All CSM use daemon engines. Just like all legions used all types of marines back in the HH.
Would you say it's better than the trilogy? I was pretty underwhelmed by that but I think it just might be that Night Lords gave me high expectations for chaos omnibii.Finished “Apostle,” pretty good read, weird it didn’t have the “Renegades” prefix, especially since its plot is just a tighter version of “Lord of Excess,” even down to the protagonist and best bro battle-brother dynamic.
There was one mention of a “they” in a throwaway of citizens getting corrupted and the only time skin tone was ever mentioned was conspicuously when it was a black SoB. Small, not a big deal, it’s good bolter porn.
This is one of the best showings of Sisters of Battle, ruthless and insane, loved it. There’s no “real heroes” of the Imperium BS. Everyone in this book is a cunt and deserves their fates.
No Primaris or “modern” 40kisms aside from insufferably dropping the trademarked name of every SoB unit fielded, but that’s a given. There’s also mention mkII-clad Word Bearers I can’t tell if it’s an HH ad for Saturnine or David probably having some mkIIs on his desk, it’s not in your face and is unlike GW to even mention or endorse HH stuff in 40k.
Proper grimdark, especially in regards to the chaos toll and the mutations. If you wanna see a chaos debate bro take on the Vatican then you’ll like it.

Sounds like you're using a brush that's too big. Pin washing is dirt simple. Wet the brush, apply it in a spot, it'll carry itself around via capillary action if the lines are small enough but even without actual distinct lines it'll still flow around to recesses, around rivets, etc. After that a cotton swab or whatever with a tiny amount of the thinner you used for the wash cleans up any excess.I've been using Oil Washes using the reductive method but my LGS owner was explaining pin washing (I think?) in a way that my smooth brain could not process. I was tooling around a little bit with it last night but I am having a hard time hitting the right spots, either too much or too little. Any good videos? Im finding a bunch of stuff for the reductive method, which is fine but I do want to give this a shot.
We were definitely just talking about it a few pages ago because someone had an ink they wanted to use for a white base and then fluorescent layer on top of that for their eldar, and I suggested the dip pen(which is demonstrated in the gunpla video) as a possible alternative application method(also cheap).Deja vu about pin wash, weren't we just sharing some of those vids? Or was that in the general TT thread? Can't remember.
There’s also an alternate build to create the Starfang, an Anhrathe** custom Vyper, which comes with its own set of pilots, a unique weapon loadout featuring a mix of weaponry liberated from other Aeldari factions, and a few other subtle changes to the vehicle, such as decorative filigree and ribbons. You can choose between four canopy designs on the clear sprue – two full canopies and two windscreens – with each style having a blank display or the classic triangle rune.
whether you build your kit as a Vyper or a Starfang, you can pick whichever position you like the look of most.
It’s kind of an inversion of the first book, upstart Dark Apostle takes a world with a secret.Would you say it's better than the trilogy? I was pretty underwhelmed by that but I think it just might be that Night Lords gave me high expectations for chaos omnibii.
It's already on the Z btw
