Space Marine Heroes came in from GW. Still waiting for the Chinaman version to compare.

The GW version is plastic, which is a surprise. Will make for a good comparison, though.

Also got "Armor through the Ages" which I thought was going to be 1 sprue of each of Mk1/2/3/4/5 armor. And it sorta is, except they're Resin (which I knew) but they're monopose recreations of the old slot-in-base style GW figurines from like 1985. Not quite what I was expecting. But if I ever get around to learning Blender, will make for a great base to learn how to do the first 4 types of armor (skipping the Thunder Warrior, mind you).

Edit: When I say slot-in-base style GW figurines, I mean they're LITERALLY official resin recasts of the old Metal GW figurines from the 80s. All the way down to the description in plaintext on the tab going into the base -- one says "MKIII SPACE MARINE."

It's a neat thing to have, and I'll give them a nice Blood Ravens paint job, but their use for a Kill team is gonna be limited as they're significantly smaller than modern Space Marines, even before Primaris.

I no longer trust FW when it says something is sold out. The Deimos Rhino was "sold out" for quite a while, and now it's back, no explanation. Same goes for the Contekar Terminators and the Cataphractii storm shields for Imperial Fists (which were available two days ago, but I've just noticed are "sold out" again). If you go look at the Sabre strike tank, they have the tank and all its weapon options available, no trouble, but the bundle option for the tank and all three weapons is "sold out". They're also currently sold out of newer models Saul Tarvitz, plus like half the primarchs and most of the Contemptors and just . . . really random stuff like upgrade sets and certain characters. My current theory is that whoever they've got in charge of FW's site is incapable of finding their ass with both hands and a map, especially in light of the Sons of Horus praetor leak that just occurred.
"Sold out online"
Nor have I, but from my research: Playable no, Competitive, yeah.

Looking at this more closely. I don't know why he has both allarus and aquilons marked as FW. the allarus are plastic, sure they are both terminators but they actually both play completely different.

To be honest, everything that has fantasy in it ripped Tolkien down to the n. Niggerlovers as GWs are, from DnD to Heroes to Elder Scrolls, all could write a nice letter of thanks and commit some funds for upkeeping Tolkien's grave. LoTR will be amazon's tranny hobbit factory so I doubt the lotr guys give a crap about Tolkien anymore.

TTS is know on indefinite hiatus
TLDR alfabusa doesn't want to risk still making the series and doesn't think they can sell out to GW since the series doesn't fit their current brand.

That shit was super popular on leddit. I wonder if the faggots on the warhammer subreddit that defend anything GW does are going to rationalize this one.

This cements my decision to go for Battletech instead.

I guess this answers the question of "Is GW getting less shitty?"

I bet Octavius will end with a wet fart and status quo. Also luv me some dlc before my codex is even out.

The 40k DLC books are all wet farts its clear they just do not want to progress the setting again after the recent push they possibly gauged the reaction to it all and are holding back hard. The AoS DLC books seem to actually move its setting forward things like an entire Stormcast Eternal warband getting wiped out, or the mentions of Chaos Dwarves coming back.

Holy Emperor, your light is so far away. The warmth of your gaze is but a memory and has been replaced with a cold light that brings no hope to anyone. We fight and die in His name yet he looks so coldly upon us. Why? What have we done to have you to look upon your beloved Imperium so harshly?

Side note, TTS made me like 40k again after I'd gotten into it through Dawn of War. Having fan projects and animations serves as a gateway and GW is fugging stupid to not allow a grey zone where fans can make their animations and stuff that get new people involved with their products.

Similar, but for me, it harkened me back to the days of OG Rogue Trader-2nd Edition when 40k was hair metal sci fi with a sprinkling of slagging on English social groups.

They're trying to get the hashtag #JusticeForTTS going.

Some of these people are blatantly the types we don't want in any community:

Because the people brought into 40k purely because of TTS and into D&D purely because of Critical Role are tourists and are the ones who a few years later are likely to join in on an attempt to highjack and destroy a hobby.

Oddly, TTS killed liking 40K for me and that lasted for a couple of years since Alfa nuked his old fan group for it. I will not gloat over it’s demise but I will also not shed a tear. It’s clear people enjoyed it and I won’t be a fag like the guys on /tg/ currently.
