However his courage quickly failed him when several Warhammer lorelets, including one self described "gatekeeper" referred to here (who is admin for a facebook community group with roughly 26K member called "Warhammer 40k Heresyposting", it's a casual a shitposting group that encourages gatekeeping), challenged him to a debate, live on his channel. His response was very telling:

>Heh, he posts on [Social Media] for fun? Obviously he's inferior to me, the man who makes a living posting on the superior venue of [Social Media]. I won't debate him!
What a tool. I've only seen a couple of this guy's videos before all this, but they always seemed like a bunch of wiki reading from a guy who enjoys the smell of his own farts.

That's actually really neat. I can see a GW Lego line selling well.
Thanks, I tried submitting one of my other Warhammer models to Lego ideas but they're liter one a list of IPs they won't accept submission for. Probably because of all the religious and violence. Shame.

Shots fired. Begun, the Lore Wars have.

And you know what? I've fucking done it.

You hear that GAMES WORKSHOP? You HEAR THIS Liberals, Cons and Faggots? I have solved the female space marine problem!

The 2nd Legion Astartes, Amazonia, were all Female. But there was a problem. Unlike their Brothers in all the other legions, they were actually fertile. They could have Children, and any child (Man or Woman) born of them held Dominant Astartes genetic traits. Without the need for gene seed implantation. This meant that given enough time the children of the 2nd Legion and their descendants would become the primary evolutionary apex of the human species.

This was horrific for the God Emperor, whose vision was solely on the restoration of natural, un augmented humanity to primacy of the galaxy. The 2nd Legion represented an existential threat to the grand goal of the Imperium of Man. So the Emperor ordered the Adeptus Custodes, backed up by the 6th Marines Space Wolves and their Primarch Leman Russ to exterminate the 2nd Legion, who much like the Thunder Warriors before them had been faithful servants of the Emperor before being betrayed.

Leman Russ refused to speak of what happened to the 2nd Legion primarch, Hypolita, because his betrayal of her is a shame he carried for the rest of his life.

There. Done. Female space marines. Perfectly Lore accurate without any pozzed Nu Warhammer bullshit. You are welcome everyone.

*edit* and now diving down this rabbit hole I've hit the gold mine.

Robute Guillemen has inherited a shattered Imperium. He needs force to drive back the end of mankind and his own bullshit codex astartese has stymied him. He needs a full Legion of Astartes. He has a feeling there may still be one but his memories are broken by his long stasis.

He just remembers that "the 2nd was not destroyed". For some reason when he mutters this in a meeting with the high lords on Holy Terra the Sisters of Battle in the room glanced at each other, ever so briefly...

Can I just be like the White Scars in the heresy and fuck off to the middle of no where.

Let’s just go back to when the only videos were bad amvs and random painting and battle reports like before and I said in the past.

My opinions is if you want to create a custom chapter of female space marines as “your dudes” go ahead. For a lore justification the coaster could have been q created during the Cursed Founding. But, I don’t know why it has to be acknowledged as canon by GW.

As indicated above, Female Astartes can be good, the problem for "current year" is it has to come from a position of love for a setting, and not a position of making the setting be "updated for modern audiences". Which has always been the problem. I am loving my head canon of the lost 2nd Legion being literal Amazons from Greek mythology, but in the grim dark reality of 40k were betrayed by the Emperor because they could actually birth new Astartes not bound to his will. You could even make an entire story arc where Guillemin could actually marry the daughter of the 2nd Legion Primarch who had inherited her mothers position after her betrayal. And they would have a Son, a descendant of TWO Primarchs. Make it an entire metaphore about how its necessary for man and woman to come together to make a household and create future.

But nah, fuck that, lets bring on the biological revolution!

Lets just make Female Ultramarines! Because a wholesome story of Guillemin finding love and marriage in order to gain a familiar alliance with an entire legion of exclusively female Space Marines is patriarchal and oppressive, and supports the idea of the gender binary! And if Guillemin has to fight the daughter of the Primarch in single combat to prove his manly worth, the idea that he could WIN and for his victory gain the right to marry her? Why that supports problematic beliefs in heteronormativity! Oh no. Lets just shoe horn in female Blood Angels because reasons, something something, agency, etc etc error 404 not found.

Never mind the fact that a literal love quest by the Nerd Primarch to woo the daughter of a betrayed queen and put her in her female place is a tailor made story to get Women interested in 40k. That above ALL is something the male feminists like Templin Institute REALLY don't want to think about.

Because maybe unpopular opinion who actually cares about yourdudes

Reminder, the lost legions were stated to be a Roman reference and also give players a way to implement their /owndudes/ into 30k and what’s happened? If you even attempt the lost legions you get laughed at due to heresy becoming pseudo historical.

Maybe it’s a modern issue but if it’s not canon who cares that’s what people think

I really hate culture war shit but this is the perfect example why it's necessary; current year wokies really do fucking ruin everything. Look at Battletech...
Man the cult really exploded when one of the people championing this shit turned out they've been catfishing the community for the past 15 years. Thats a whole autism covered in the Battletech Forum.

Battletech is more accepting of YourDudes but we do have our rules.

Templin Institute has always been annoying, what with his idiotic stance that how any type of monarchy in an advanced civilization is "unrealistic" and takes the Whiggish stance that "democracy is inevitable" despite human history showcasing that there is no singular development path for humanity and that government flux occurs all the time.

Because the fanbase doesn't want it, and the fanbase are evil CHUDs and thus fixing it is sticking it to them.

Remember it's tourists who keep pushing for this shit. They want the game to be changed to represent their social/cultural/political values because that's what imperialists do + Marxism teaches that you can NEVER be allowed escapism from the party indoctrination.

I have no credible source for this, but Templin Institute's original female VA left when Templin (or whoever that main owner guy, who decided he needs to do Extra Credits speedrun with FSM strategy, goes by as) tried to force her into a personal relationship in additional to the professional one.

My source is literally Youtube comments, but one claimed this all happened in a public Discord meltdown if someone wants to try and go digging for screencaps. I have no idea where to start.

For the record (in case this escalates enough for Templin thread) people were initially willing to believe that the first tweet was by some rogue member and everything could be fine if they simply threw said member under the bus, but apparently it was by Templin himself.

This is a rather sad occurrence. Even if you subscribe to the idea that Templin videos are just readings of fan wikis, they apparently had a great community going on. Also their video on planetary invasions helped me take the "escalation ladder" -pill over (the in retrospective 60 IQ take from a similar Lore Channel, Spacedock) that suggested Orbital Superiority is an automatic win. It can be, and if you are (to use Stellaris terminology) some sort of Fanatic Purifier or Crisis who has abandoned diplomacy entirely and other possible interstellar powers shoudl want you dead anyway, there is nothing stopping you from simply glassing the planet from orbit. However there are dozens of strategic reasons why you could need to take planet intact. Just threaten to glass them if they refuse to capitulate, without actually following through? That may work for a while, but the moment just one planet refuses, you're left with choice of destroying something you need or having your bluff called. Something very similar actually happened in real life. US high command after WW2 believed Nukes made every other weapon system obsolete and were promptly proven wrong just five years later when Korean War broke out. Even Imperium uses Exterminatus sparingly, most cases it being a last resort, despite what number of memes may imply. Closest thing to wide-spread use of Exterminatus was when someone with concluded that only to stop a Tyranid Hive Fleet was a "scorched earth" -policy on interstellar scale. He ordered dozen or so worlds on the direct path of the Hive Fleet to be pre-emptively subjected to Exterminatus. He didn't receive much accolade. Imperium regularly throws billions of lives into the meat grinder but is capable of understanding that planets are much less renewable resource that people.

I was always curious about why Larissa and Mark parted ways. They both wisely never brought it up, but mark very spitefully named a bug form alien "Larissa" in his second season of Stellaris Invicta and have her act out the personality of a "basic bitch".

I would love for more tea to be spilled on this front, especially in light of the comment that "everyone who disagrees with me is a misogynist."

Most likely the usual stuff that ""mens" that use that term have in their closet

The Mechanicus has both male and female members, mind you, they don't really consider themselves either, because the flesh is weak and they love fucking toasters.
"Male? Female? I have replaced my genitals with a neutron laser, fleshbags."

Meanwhile, in France...
Just before his video dropped, he posted this to his discord
Ah, shit, years back a guy known as Swiss Knight was part of the Sins of a Solar Empire community and had a cringe Lenin avatar, so there might be something to look into there. They headed up the mega-cringe Dawn of Victory mod that was Turtledove's World War but dumber and finally in space and actively shit on all the other mods before he and them finally faded into irrelevance because it turns out they couldn't do anything besides make a few ship models and thirty second video trailers and engage in low-effort trash talk, complete with a few parting shots about they totally got hired by big gaming companies as part of their work on the mod.

Which is hilarious because 99% of that game is plain text files and doesn't even use any actual coding, not even .XML formatting or .LUA scripting. If anyone got hired thanks to their work it was as a janitor.

As someone who got into 40k last year. Hearing the argument of female space marines grows tiresome. Because in a way it downplays the sisters of battle. From what I've learned from reading they have done some pretty cool shit and they have reach some outstanding feats that many marines would be jealous of. Shit like this is why i support gatekeeping when is to keep people like the templin institute out of the hobby.
