I don’t 100% know who’s who at GW these days.

I moved out of Nottingham decades ago now, and I think even then some of the London guys were still around.

I like it, but these days I mostly enjoy the videogames because I don’t have time or space to collect a bunch of toy soldiers.
Also Mrs FinnSven would probably throw me out. She is from a background that doesn’t tolerate that kind of childish behavior in adult men.

I didn't catch that when I watched the video. That's pretty damned funny because almost 4 years ago he posted a video "Why I terminated my Games Workshop NDA" so not only did he drop the NDA but he did it while publicly shitting on the company in the process. Huh... I wonder why GW wouldn't want to give him any free shit?
So he asked for free shit when his channel was still worthless, and got nothing. Eventually got an NDA signed with them after his channel grew, got multiple blackstone fortress expansions for free ahead of their release, fucked up the first video he did on them, and still kept getting free shit while not being one of the bigger channels(even though he claims he's a "main channel for 40k content". And has the audacity to complain that GW wasn't giving him insider info months in advance and terminated the NDA himself weeks before the obviously upcoming 9th edition launch(video was posted on July 2nd, 2020. 9th edition launched around July 25th.)

So GW finds a growing channel, signs an agreement with them, gives them some free shit, was likely about to send them the 9th edition indomitus box just like they did for a bunch of other channels, but then Guy here gets a bug up his ass a month before the release, terminates the deal, and then posts a video bitching about it?

And then in the same video, complains about how he's going to have to be learning the edition like everyone else after it's out with no time to do any reading about it in advance before going back to shilling his own shitty background music.

So then fast forward to present and he then lies about GW never responding to him, and never giving him any free shit? At least when he lied about the ww2 game shit, the previous video where he did an interview about it a month back was on someone else's channel.

did you give them a soak in soapy water? (regular ass dish soap), that can help with paint and glue not sticking to it


Also, re; on the midwinter minis shit, he really wants to paint anyone who very understandibly gave him the sideye after his stupid historicals video and his fucky personal life as a meanie nazi?, he is throwing stones from a glass house if his ex-wife ever spoke up about his new flame

Is he a meanie Nazi in the sense of him being a terrible person, or is he actually a racist?

I always pitied nerd racists the hardest because a lot of them ended up that way because they got picked on by both whites and not whites at school.

I was more of a metal/grunge nerd, so when I went to school at a school with a large ethnic population they actually tended to leave my crowd alone.
It seemed that they either thought we were wrapped up with some extremely violent satanists and biker gangs or that kids who liked that kind of music were generally tolerant.

Always wash resin models with soap and water(a little bit of dishsoap and an old toothbrush works fine. The mold release and residue from cleaning molds out can stick to them and wouldn't be on plastic, and even primer isn't going to be sticking properly. If the primer can't stick right then the paint won't, and so on.

No, MWM is painting everyone else who criticized him as a "meanie nazi" complete with "death threats and omg dox", due to his stupid video that he made where he pissed off a large portion of the historical wargaming community, and now that he wants pity bucks because his landlord kicked him out again, he's bringing up all of the bad shit he can in an attempt to get more cash.

A situation he wouldn't be in if he hadn't abandoned his wife and kids for some chick that used to work at GW painting minis(and not even from the heavy metal team).

Yeah I don't know if he's a racist, but he's definitely a money grubbing asshole since now he wants to make everything on his channel publicly about money money money money. As if he went to the DSP school of youtube video creation.

It's especially funny when you consider the only reason his channel even blew up was due to his sandstone necron bullshit. Took one of the easiest armies to paint, and then found an even lazier way of doing so, and it wasn't even a unique idea at the time.

Thanks for the tip, I figured since they were models I ordered from an actual company and not ones I printed myself that they would have taken care of the treatment for me, guess not.

Forge World nor Chink Forge World nor Slava/Vodka recasters do that. The chink and ukranian and russian ones were just as good as the FW... but that's not saying much. I stopped buying FW after the first purchase a decade ago, when the Dreadnought autocannons were full of bubbles and non of the barrels were straight.

Likely not worth of his own thread. There's probably some 40k youtube people that have done dumber shit that isn't really worthy of a thread either. Off the top of my head, there's a couple grown ass adults filming youtube shit for 40k living in their parents home in their 30s and older. One of them chased some pussy for clout and dox'd someone regarding some GW NDA shit as a result. But most are just 40k drama chasers at best.

Honestly you're more likely to have recasters give a shit about product quality than GW/FW. Look up just about any video involving unboxing of a manta or titan in the past 3-4 years and they're all warped to shit with mold slips requiring dunking huge sections in boiling water or playing around with a heatgun to fix a part on a $2000+ model, that could have been spotted as being warped from across the room. midwinter minis, squidmar minis, playontabletop, tabletop time, and a bunch of other channels have all run into this, and it's dumb. That's not factoring in mold slips, bubbles that aren't just minor, etc.

I can recall one recaster known for fixing shitty sculpts(finecast and forgeworld) to the point of them making multple blog posts to brag about it.
 
Don't bother washing your resin models in soapy water unless they're printed with water soluable resin. 99% of resin models need to be cleaned in an agitated alcohol bath for at least 6 minutes.

Our planet isn't like that. There's bound to be racial differences, contingent on climate and location and all sorts of other factors.

For that matter, why would a different planet conform to the stereotypes of our planet?

exactly, even if the original settlers on a planet are all asian, they can evolve into having darker features and more african looking features.
