This pisses me off more. Still not as bad as blood of the phoenix was, but shitty.

if every box was getting individually hand-couriered from Nottingham, I could understand it
Aussie import laws are autistic as fuck, actually. A buddy of mine down under wants to buy some American whiskey and bourbon since its good stuff, but apparently the import taxes and fees on it are ridiculous.

has there ever been any explanation on WHY aussies get buttfucked so hard?
Games Workshop doesn't use the standard inflation rate, in order to protect their profit margin they use the most inflated value of a local currency in the past couple of years (I think 2012 but I'm not sure) just in case the value of the pound drops faster than they can change the price. The AUD was just a little less stable than the pound.

Show me your current WIP, Contrast along regular acrylic paints definitely give the best results

Shyish purple followed by a Tau Light Ocre drybrush. I’m probably going to do a final highlight of Kislev Flesh.

Bark was Snakebite Leather with an Ogryn Camo drybrush. Moss was Dark Angels Green and drybrushed with Ogryn Camo.
The getting started minis.

It’s been far too cold and wet to prime them over the past week. Picked up some nuln oil for the necron and I might need to pick up some stuff for a blue green shade. Thinking of giving the cron some oxidation on the brass bits.

More bolter and chainsword rumors.
No Icon buffs for helbrutes
Terminator Sorcerers have a wargear familiar and not a stratagem
CSM squads have an option to turn the squad into psykers and there's a two handed chain axe option like the bubotic axe.

cool concepts, theres speculation the CSM squad options would be from killteam models which would make sense. As much as I'm looking forward to chaos marines not being an absolute joke carried hard by gimmicks, the potential ability to soup daemons or guard without breaking doctrines has my attention more.

What’s the most versatile Necron Character point for point? Trazyn seems like he’s near impossible to kill. Orikan seems like he’s a bit random but can get a crazy statline with the right rolls. Imotekh seems to just be really killy. Zandrekh and Obyron seem to be random but good depending on what you’re fighting. Anrakyr seems like he’d be really good with him granting extra attacks. Szeras amd Szarekh seem to be expensive buffers.

I don't play or play against necrons, but globally I always found generics to be the most versatile/ useable characters. Being able to modify their loadouts, and them usually being cheaper than the named ones is always a plus.

Overlords are pretty customisable and you aren’t immediately locked into a dynasty. Put them on a command barge for the best results.

Any comment on the overlord that comes in the starter box/Indomitus box that’s different than the one you can just buy? The standalone one seems to have a scythe and a rez orb while the one I got has a big glaive and an antitank missile.

I’m mostly trying to figure out what basic things I need to pick up to make a functioning army with what I already have from the box which is as follows:
1 overlord
3 Skorpekh Destroyers and the little drone that can make them go berzerk and/or explode. I’m honestly not sure how strong that thing is, or if you can use it as an extra wound or 2 for the squad, or if it just isn’t worth the points and you shouldn’t field it.
10 warriors
And 3 scarab swarms

I’m thinking probably at least one more group of infantry, another character like a cryptek, and some sort of vehicle like a ghost ark or the command barge you mentioned. Something that can move my units around if I don’t take veil of darkness.

Sorry for the sperging

Unless they're special models with new posed and buts, starter boxes /collection boxes contains the same sprues as the individual boxes. The sprues should contains all available loadouts.

Starter sets are push fit. All the sculpts in Indomitus are new. There are two different sculpts for the Overlord and the one not from the starter set only has the scythe and resurrection orb.

@Takayuki Yagami You can always proxy your Overlord’s wargear or use bits to replicate it.

I was mostly confused as to if the unit was completely separate from the old overlord because the model I have isn’t in the codex and I havent really bothered getting into the box for fear of losing tiny bits and it just being way to cold to start priming things where I am. I’m trying to get a functional army together with the stuff I mentioned in my previous post as a base.

Void Scythe and Orb of Eternity are pretty good on them. The foot lord also gets a 4+ invulnerable save which is quite good as well. For crypteks a technomancer or psychomancer are both good options and go nuts with whichever cryptek arkana you like.

So much for buy my Canoptek Spyders today 12 issues of the imperium magazine has just fucking disappeared

They aren’t out of stock either since other issues have that as a label above them. These people need to get their collective shit together!
