A nifty new Traitor Guard kill team was revealed today:

Also, here's what Squats will be looking like:

And for some reason they decides to make a Hashut warband without any Chaos Dwarfs:

So Necromuda Space Dwarfs will still be known as Squats, though they are separate from the Leagues.

Also, as a I'm running heavily on Phobos Marines, I'm interested in the other half of the Killteam box, which is a new set of Infiltrator/Incursor troops, the Phobos Strike Squad. I'm guessing/hoping they are going to give the Phobos troops some new options(I think that's how it worked with the Tau right? I know the Corsairs were included in the Eldar codex), they list a Saboteur and a Voxbreaker as new options. It's not my wish(mini-hellblasters, a Phobos squad with Neovulkite rifles), but if we get some more options for the troops I'm still happy.

I wonder if the Demiug will be a third group unless GW decideds to squat them because the Tau can't have anything interesting outside of farside.

Dear monkey's paw, please bring back Squats!

*a bunch of stronk female Squats with heads shaped like Coco Puffs appear*
I never wanted them the Dwarf fanboys dug their own grave. Why do dwarfs get their own faction when hobbits or ogres are stuck as sub units in imperial guard?

Same reason elves do, I guess.

Played a fun casual game with a buddy today. 1K points, my Goffs vs his Space Wolves. Talk about carnage - at the end, all I had up was a half squad of Beast Snaggas, my Wartrike and a Megatrakk Scrapjet (both undamaged) vs his just over half health Contemptor and 2/3 health Grimnar.

Not the highest scoring game I've ever played, but lots of fun just watching two melee-heavy armies just pound each other into paste with the addition of quality vs quantity in the shooting.

GW states that the Heresy starter box will be priced under £200/$300 USD, though of course they didn't say by how much, so that could just be a sneaky way of saying it'll be £199/$299. It does suggest they've noticed the bitching about the prices on their other recent boxes, though.

Mark III and IV Marines are being reboxed into 20-man squads, which is how the beakies will be released also. Two big rulebooks will drop for loyalist and traitor legions, with "other factions" to follow, which I'm guessing means Custodes, Mechanicum/Dark Mechanicum, Sisters of Silence, Solar Auxilia, and cults and militia. They're finally re-releasing Ahriman and the Space Wolf character from the Burning of Prospero as individual minis. Support squad weapons are being made into plastic upgrade boxes; the light weapons will all be in one box, and the heavy weapons are being broken into three different sets, each with enough guns to arm a 10-man squad. The plastic Deimos Rhino and the Kratos tank look slick as hell. And Dorn is the next Primarch novel after Morty.

So tl;dr, they're making it easier than it ever was before to start or expand a Heresy army and my poor wallet is gonna feel it.

I’ll admit for under £200 what you get is good value.

GW saved a lot of moola on the design of the new HH box as marines are possibly the most generic army out there, their files are all done from templates that are altered and reposed in a digital workspace before being transfered to a die cast mold with very little additional work.

I find it hard to believe that the same people who baulked at the price of ash wastes last week are calling this a good deal.

Edit: this isn't a call out post, i was aiming my comments at people i know irl and streamers not anyone here.

I'm still reserving judgement until I see a final price on the box, but considering they were asking $192 for the resin Spartan before they purged it and 40 Tactical Marines would normally set you back $200+, it probably isn't a bad deal at all.

When you're used to dropping north of $30 on a single sprue the size of a pack of playing cards, your perspective shifts a bit... 🙂

Ash wastes gave you some dinky terrain, a couple small vehicles and a gang.

The heresy gives you you a $100 plastic spartan. Literally the entirety of the tactical squads for most heresy armies at like $240. A squad of terminators for like $55 and a $60-70 dollar contemptor for less then $250

Here's my Tyrannofex. Bit of a rush job, but I like how it turned out. Fitted nano-LEDs in the eye sockets.
