I sent you guys the messages. While digging into some of the channels looking for the info, I noticed a lot of the channels have been taking down links to other groups saying they're getting letters from GW again. Groups will reorganize and pop up somewher else. I don't see why someone doesn't deal with it Wahapedia style and just host all the files from a Russian server where they can tell GW to shove their copyright claims up their ass.

If 10th edition is bringing a redesign of GW's profit model by making book information free and raising the price on models, they're probably going to get more aggressive with their copyright claims, and they're already the most aggressive company I've ever interacted with when it comes to stopping 3d modelers and printers.

>5 legions still dont even have preator models
>No plastic assault squads

Tbh, I'll probably pick up that Fists tanker for my Spartan. I like the sculpt.

I don't think we'll be seeing plastic HH assault squads any time soon, if at all. My money's on them doing a resin Mk VI upgrade kit like they're doing for Despoilers.

I did some math so I could bitch about GW's prices more. In 10th, you will be able to select up to 6 of the same "battleline" unit. There's speculation that Necron flayed ones might be battleline because they're currently an elite unit and don't really deserve it, and there's not a Necron troop unit with a melee weapon. If they are, that means you could potentially have 6 units of 20, or 120 models. A pack of 5 is $55, so $11/model. That's $1,320 in models before shipping. They're basically the same model as Necron warriors which are cheap as dirt.
This is one of the reasons why I moved towards Battletech. Besides the better lore.

I hate taking pictures of models they always look like ass.

But I finally finished my corpse grinder dudes most of them were done a while ago just had to force myself to finish three of them you can probably tell which.

If you have some room for it, put them in the fridge as a cheap makeshift ligthbox. Use printer paper as a backdrop. If the fridge light is too bright, tape a piece of tissue paper over the light and/or move it to a lower shelf. For better results, have your phone stabilized on something.

Look at this fist player. Point anf laugh at him.
Easy enough of a request for me.

That being said, despite how dull I find the Imperial Fists, I do like their successor chapters. I find they have better stories & personality around them than their progenitor legion.

The new warham community seems to hint that you can attach characters to units.
I really hope so since HQ’s were made somewhat vulnerable by removing that. Also post what you lads have been working on. Here’s my completed overload

Testing color schemes for the new saurus since im interested in starting lizardmen for sigmar. Any thoughts? I try to look to nature when looking for inspiration on natural models.

So I had a random gameplay thought this morning. I find it weird to have so much content locked away in the Crusade section of codices so I wrote this up for a CSM game while my coffee was brewing this morning

  • No Abaddon or Daemon Primarchs
  • If using a Chaos Legion, you have full access to your 8 Legion specific stratagems and can take two extra battleforged stratagems. If using the Creations of Bile warband, you can use their 4 warband specific stratagems and can take 6 extra battleforged stratagems. If you are using the Red Corsairs warband, you can use the 4 warband specific stratagems, the modified More Where They Came From requisition (see below for details) and three battleforged stratagems. If you are using a homebrew warband, you can take 10 battleforged stratagems.
  • HQs can take a Chaos Boon for 5pts as a part of your list building, but you do not roll for the result before deployment.
  • Have access to the Battle Traits found in the Crusade Rules section of the codex at the cost of 5pts per unit. For the core & daemonkin units Battle Traits, the named Legions and Warbands use their specific Battle Traits. For Homebrew warbands, you can use Despoilers Without Mercy, Hate-fuelled Butchers, or Ambition's Edge and roll a d3 for the result. You can only have one Battle Trait per unit and you roll for your result before deployment.
  • Have full access to Relics. Regarding Crusade Relics, named Legions & Warbands can use the one found on their pages. Homebrew Warbands have full access to the Crusade Relics.

Regarding the named Legions & Warbands, use the following bonuses & changes on their Crusade rules:

BLACK LEGION:
  • Can take Chosen as troops
  • For Corpses and Cinders, you gain 10 Victory Points in place of experience points. If your Warlord is still alive at the game's end, you gain an additional 10 Victory Points in place of Chaos points
  • For Champion of the Black Crusade, you gain 3 Victory Points for each Black Legion unit still alive at game's end in place of experience points and requisition points

WORD BEARERS:
  • Can take Possessed as troops
  • For Grisly Sacrifice, you now gain D3 victory points for each enemy unit wiped out. If the enemy unit is wiped out by a model with the PRIEST keyword, you gain 3 Victory Points. If a unit with the PRIEST keyword slays the enemy warlord, you gain 10 Victory Points

NIGHT LORDS:
  • Can take Raptors as troops
  • For Nocturnal Warfare, in place of a Terror tally you instead gain 1 Victory Point for it's conditions
  • For Cursed Claw, you can give this to your warlord for free. You cannot take Marks of Chaos if this is taken, but you gain 10 Victory Points if your warlord is slain.

IRON WARRIORS:
  • Can take Havocs as troops
  • For Warsmith, you can do this upgrade for free. Still only applies to Chaos Lords
  • With the Warpbreacher, Warsmiths can take this relic weapon as well

ALPHA LEGION:
  • All units except for vehicles count as ObSec
  • For Strike From Within, you now gain 5 Victory Points in place of experience points
  • For Cult Uprising, your increase your Cultist units' leadership to 8

EMPEROR'S CHILDREN:
  • For Flawless Execution, you gain 5 Victory Points for it's requirements in place of keeping a Flawless Execution tally
  • For Lords of Hedonism, you get this perk for free.

RED CORSAIRS:
  • Can take Chaos Bikers as troops
  • For Tyrant's Empire, you gain 5 Victory Points in place of experience points
  • For More Where They Came From, this is changed into a stratagem where you can make a unit leave the board for a turn and return at full strength via Warp Strike. This costs 1CP

CREATIONS OF BILE:
  • For Fresh Specimens, you gain 5 Victory Points in place of experience points
  • For Stable Enhancements, units with the CORE keyword cand roll for Chaos Boons when they wipe out an enemy unit. If they get a duplicate Chaos Boon, reroll the result.

I need the Thousand Sons, World Eaters and Death Guard codices to figure out how to make them work with this.
