Looks like Majorkill's beginning to transition his channel towards more non-Warhammer content, he's released two videos recently, one about why so many 40k channels are stagnating and the second was just a few days ago about his favorite youtube channels (largely just popular trash) but after his odd rant about Australia's old corrupt (true), far right (If any aussies want to comment on that, feel free, I just remember them being on par with Bush jr. not a bunch of goose-steppers the way that label makes them sound) government, it made me more curious to look into him since that's the most political I've seen him get and being ashamed of his country seemed a bit dramatic.
Section clip (I'll ignore the KF discussion over whether or not Jordies is a cow.):

Not sure how public he's been about his life but a deeper dive was trivial since I already doxed him months ago due to mentioning a competition he medaled in. He censored his name, however, I just looked up the various Jiu Jit Su tournaments (archive) that matched the blue belt time/rankings in the area:

Didn't find anything further on his politics, though his name is Riley Allis, son of Janine Allis (archive) - founder of Boost Juice its parent company, Retail Zoo (where he interns (archive) as a digital marketer), two multi-hundred million dollar companies (in addition to several others), as well as an Australian Survivor contestant/Australian Shark Tank shark. For as loaded as the family is, I don't see the point in wasting his time in peddling warhammer hentai to his definitely 18+ audience when he's able to buy and sell million dollar rental properties (archive) as his version of a summer lemonade stand and bought out a small chain of bankrupt stores with his brother three years ago (archive).

This gave me a chuckle (I'm seeing why all the articles list them as "Janine and her husband"):
As for the big age gap between her kids, Janine admitted on the I Don't Know How She Does It podcast, that when she was 39 and on a business trip in South Korea, she booked her husband in for a vasectomy reversal when she felt the sudden want to have another child.

"I know it sounds a little bit weird but that is how it felt and by this stage my poor husband - I had sent him off to have a vasectomy," she said.

"So he had a reversal and that didn't work so it took three years before this gorgeous little girl came into our lives," she confessed.

Finished painting the ork combat patrol box over the last three days, here is the result.

Didn't bother photographing all 20 of the boyz because general quality of them can be seen in the first two photos, deffkoptas were very much rushed for today's game and I do plan on coming back to them at some point but I would appreciate feedback on their colors and overall style.

Halfway to being done I realized how much red I used and that instead of blood axes they look more like evil sunz.

I like that warboss. Overall nice. A small nitpick would be perhaps a bit more detail on the yellow accessories on the kopters.

Poor 40k Theories for putting up with Fresh. Should've called Karl the Deranged.
He is pretty aweful, very whiny and I quit the stream after the rant, especially bad is that he said that "parts of the fanbase" should be gassed unironically. But I guess it's okay when it's the right people getting killed. In the end, besides ignoring the fact that nothing happened after the fiasco of fan artists getting cease and desist, he is crying over the right of other people getting money for someone else's intellectual property, something that no other company allows.

The worse take was from Tactica Imperialis being outraged at Warhammer+ paywalling lore, battle reports, and painting tips from Games Workshop.

Does he not know that White Dwarf exists? Remember when they put the 6th edition Sisters of Battle codex across two magazines? That whole rant was complaining for complaining’s sake.

The whole rant can be summed in this meme:

The people over at Spikey Bitz should kill themselves now for making their site unusable, rate me MATI it is my truth and I shouldn't have be on mobile to use their shitty site.
Spikey Bitz has been unusable for years at this point. It was already full with ads to begin with, combine it with the fact the owner can’t keep his mouth shut and always gets into some crap so it’s best to just stay away.
It’s like bell of lost souls went down the same path which is sad because they used to be the biggest Warhammer fan sites available and most people’s initial introduction outside of a GW setting. It would have been better if they both went the way of 3++ and just faded out of existence.

Soon gonna be cheaper to buy a 3D printer than one of their sets
If you've spent more than £200 for any one army then 3D printing is already cheaper. Bare on mind you only buy the printer once. And then £25 - £30 every once in a while for a 1L bottle of resin that can get you 3000 points worth of minis. You don't need anyone to explain to you the savings.

If you're willing to go up to £400 the 8k printers you can get really do put GW to shame.

I know there are people in this thread with a weird grudge against 3D printing but I can't see how you could fault the detail in these minis for the price you're paying. Maybe a quid or two for a full squad of infantry. About that for a single tank. Pretty good deal.

I find the prospect tempting, but I believe I need a dedicated area with good ventilation and my stomping grounds are not the biggest and well, it also kills any consistent way for me to support my local store outside of modelling supplies.

But do have to ask, how long did it take you from getting the printer and started pumping shit out? I've heard you need to at least be competent at adding anchoring to STL files and stuff like that.

It is honestly not that hard to start printing halfway decent stuff, I'm perfectly happy with the way my stuff looks except for the bubble holes that are left after I remove the supports they are not guaranteed nor are they always all that visible especially if you are clever with how you place the supports but it is annoying when an otherwise perfect print comes out and then you remove the supports and fuck it up.

And I have been printing for about 2 months so I'm not particularly experienced, the ventilation is a genuine concern though (if you actually care about your health that is) I live in a single room and my printer is placed on a chair within 0.4 meters of my open balcony (in the shade) so I just kind of hope that most fumes are not getting to me.

For me it wasn't long at all. And that was on the first version of the Anycubic Photon when they first drastically lowered the price. There wasn't nearly as many helpful tools as there are now. But I was ready and printing things the day I got the printer. The main thing you have to learn about is how to support your model and how to tune your settings in your slicer to get the best results. Which will be a process of trial and error using quick to print calibration prints you can find on Thingiverse. These calibration prints will directly show you the settings you need for your printer. Which will vary based on the area you put it in. Once dialed in your settings should rarely change.

There are two incredibly stupid things you should avoid doing with Resin 3D printers.

First of all, do not rely on autosupports. No matter how many people tell me they've gotten better. That's bollocks. No slicer has ever given me reliable autosupports. There are always tiny missed islands that you won't even pick up on by eye on the printed model itself. But can fuck up your FEP sheet and cause a spill that ruins your screen. Learn to manually support your prints and your prints will never fail unless your settings are shit. It is an annoying and time consuming ball ache to support your model manually. But not nearly as big a ball ache as having to reprint a failed model that was improperly angled and not supported properly or replace your FEP sheet or screen because a tiny fingernail sized bit of cured resin the auto supports missed pierced your FEP sheet.

The second thing that some people seem to take very personally and get very pissy about is don't put a resin printer in your hobby or painting room. Don't put it anywhere near any room that is used frequently. We don't know exactly how dangerous resin fumes or UV resin is. But the preliminaries are not encouraging. It doesn't just smell bad. It can hurt your lungs, your eyes, your skin. It's not something you should take lightly. But I see lots of people put a resin printer in the same room they use to paint minis in. And get super pissy when other people try to remind them of the health risks of that. Playing stupid games inevitably leads to winning stupid prizes. So don't be a fucking idiot about this.

First balance dataslate is out and, by God, it seems to fix most of the issues that have made tournaments a joke.

My beloved Grey Chads are also getting points drop accross the board so I'm pretty happy with things.
Necrons got fucking hammered. Some huge points increases (+20 for cryptothralls, +40 for lychguard, +25 for doomsday ark) mixed with strategem nerfs is not looking great.

I might be understanding the devastating wounds nerfs incorrectly, but it seems like they can now only be allocated to 1 model. At least I saw it explained that way on reddit. That doesn't make much sense when most of the Necron options for devastating wounds also have blast. I could be wrong though because you have to have at least 4 years worth of post-graduate studies for GW rules to make sense as written.

RIP if you just bought 4 boxes of lychguard to run a meta list. $240 + tax and shipping down the drain.

I think that Dev Wounds, as they no lo ger count as Mortal Wounds but rather merely bypass all saves, no longer have any spillover. E.g. if you fire an anti tank weapon that does 6 damage into an infantry block with 1W models, you no longer kill 6 in a single shot but only 1 since there's no spillover.

However, the change to Dev Wounds has greater meta impacts too such as, by no longer being MWs, they can be a great counter to MW Feel No Pain saves that some armies have access too. Custodes can now get HARD FUCKED by Dev Wounds, allowing a savvy opponent to trade very advantageously against your costly golden bois.

I get that, but it doesn't make a lot of sense for necrons. Most of the necron "anti-tank" weapons aren't anti tank at all. The doomstalker and doomsday ark have blast and don't have anti-vehicle. I think the only anti-vehicle weapon in the whole index is the void dragon and nobody runs him anyways. You're supposed to be firing them into 1 wound balls of infantry.

I'd wait for the dust to settle. Should have narrowed things for sure but I still expect Eldar to be top dog.

By "Anti Tank", I mean any weapon that has high Strength, high AP, and high Damage. This allows them to reliably wound vehicles, monsters, and hyper elite infantry (like Custodes Terminators).

The Necron models you mentionned have the issue of being very swingy with its attack count, that's true. That being said, other factions tend to have similar datasheet "issues" that give them similar problems, like Space Marines Lascannons doing D6+1 Damage. You gotta pick your poison.

From a points efficiency standpoint, it seems to me that Lokhust Heavy Destroyers would probably be the best AT option in the index if you can hide them well

Oh boy what glorious Admech changes now my infantry is cheaper and more durable, I sure can't fucking wait to field waves of cheap INFANTRY that can't hit the broadside of a barn and be supported by what is a glorified commissar that is now at least 45 points cheaper sure wish the model wasn't an infantry sized and standing on a 32mm base for the price of 35 dollars that I need to max out on just so my infantry isn't fucked with incorrect orders that's fucking great. And my vehicles still do jack shit and die, oh and the carrier with no fucking roof still doesn't have firing deck just the shity stubber.

Oh and the army rule is still useless but I made peace with it since I never expected them to modify it in anyway

Out of the entire smorgasbord of nerfs the one that hurts most is losing Phantasm as it was originally (now only applies to infantry models). The points increase on wraithguard, wraithknight, even the farseer (80 pts for a vanilla on foot farseer!!!!) will do little to deter the current win-at-all-costs minmaxers. At least they addressed how dumb devastating wounds was for all factions, but killing the wraithknight also memant decimating imperial knights. It's a pity they can't seem to figure out towering rules better.
Overall we're going to enter round 2 of Meme Army of the Month for 10th.
