Yeah that is a real screenshot and not a shop, was in the beta.
I print a lot of my armies from Makers Cult and StationForge, both are wonderful creators and their presupported files always print for me. I just got done printing this huge Space Marine transport from StationForge, it is currently held together by model clay and a dream:

I used to post a lot of my prints and paints over on the kiwifedi when it was up, I might continue on this thread if it wouldn't be considered spam

I want to like the Rhino with the assault ramp and and predator sponsons... but the tracks are fucking exposed and the gatling guns stuck in the old lamp slots are like the most useless thing ever. If they popped them into a turret above the ramp and armoured up the tracks it would have been okey.

But those lamp-gatlings give me a serious Rogal Dorn tank glued on stubbers vibe and I am not liking it.

Glad I'm not the only one who hates the Dorn. I'm mega choosy about units, to the point where I won't even look at the datasheets for models I hate. I will never use a Taurox, Rogal Dorn, Bullgryn or rough rider unit ever. No matter how OP they become. The Dorn doesn't fit with the guard aesthetic at all, so for my centerpiece heavy tank I finally got a Malcador. Even though the Malc still looks dumb as hell, at least it fits with the army.

I did make an exception with Lord Solar, although I do have proxy for him.

The Rogal dorn just looks so stupid. You can just take a Macharius turret and put it on a Malcador and have the tank.

Its weirdly glued on front guns, its exposed gunner, it all just screams sloppy. Especially when there are already 2 tanks mentioned above for that weight. The Macharius is just objectively better with how versatile you can make it with different types. Battle cannons? Got it. Anti tank Vanquisher ? Got it. Anti-horde gatlings? Got it. Giant plasma of fuck you? Oh yeah it got it.

Well how about that, a Space Wolf being based instead of cringe for a changed.

I've assumed that Owlcat is pozzed, so it surprises me to see them write such a blunt, sacrilegious line of dialogue as this. I suspect, however, that it's not meant to be provocative, but rather simple Space Marines 101 early in the game for players who are new to 40k.

Calling it now, the Lion well just tell him to "fuck off" so he can focus on rebuilding his legion into something that's capable of fighting off an new unholy horror or something.
That's possible. If they want to make things spicy, they should make the two into rivals.
This is definitely what should happen. It's a convenient continuation of what we already know well about the two characters and their relationship from the Horus Heresy, and it's a more entertaining shakeup to the modern 40k setting rather than the Lion simply sliding into Guilliman's direction for the Imperium. This also benefits the tabletop game itself because the vast majority of players have Imperium armies and need more narrative excuses to battle with each other, especially since GW has been trying to bring attention to narrative play. While I don't see Guilliman and the Lion coming to such violent blows with each other, having each heir of the Imperium try to hog as many resources and allegiances as possible to his personal agenda will certainly cause more friction that can turn into intra-Imperium skirmishes on the micro level.

Because they are retards who apparently don't know who the Sisters of Battle despite even the retards at WOTC realizing that Celestine the Living Saint exists.
The Sisters of Battle are irrelevant to the whiners because Space Marines are the main characters of 40k that must be brought to heel, and getting GW to acquiesce to this demand will give the ultimate power trip to fandom invaders. In more recent years, it also seems that the whining for female Space Marines, or rather more specifically for denying male-exclusive Space Marines (see the recent HH 2.0 rulebook "controversy"), has more to do with validating trannies than anything do to with women.

Realistically, the Imperium does. All its enemies are killing each other just as much as they're killing the humans, and there's no way GW would let their most popular faction fall.
I think you hit on the main point here with the unchanging status quo - their target audience for these are people in a 5 year life cycle, ages 13-18. Then they go to college or discover girls and ditch warhammer. So by the time ppl get sick of the same boring grimdark status quo they’ve aged out. The people that do stick around are like trek fans and they are there precisely because they want something exactly like their childhood memories.

They don't even capitalize on the changes they do make. Yarrick was killed off nearly a year ago now and it was such a non-event that we can't even fully say that it happened. Nu-Squats have been out for a year and you'd barely notice because they have no presence outside the tabletop. Writing anything about how factions react to this would be something to help make things feel like they progress. And yet nothing. You have to be a Primarch to get anything written in a timely manner. And who knows how long it'll be before they answer basic questions like how the Lion and Guilliman's reunion goes.

Keeping the story in line with the tabletop is one of the most difficult challenges the writing team has to deal with. As long as something is being sold, we can assume the character that mini represents has some degree of plot armor. And while I believe there's a character somewhere that's still playable despite being dead, it's an exception rather than the rule. The faction has to stay somewhat static. Or they'll exist for a little bit then die like the Ynnari once they did the one thing they were written into the lore to do. The opening and ending events for editions are hype for a little bit, but it dies once you realize how little actually changed.

I don't see how they'll keep the hype of a Primarch returning past the third time unless they're really willing to throw some curveballs.

Just thought of a curveball. Vashtorr and his little copy of Caliban make their way through the webway into Commoragh. Shit starts going sideways for the Dark Eldar until Vect comes out to say "get the fuck out of my city". He does some fighting with your standard CSM, but when the heavy hitters like Vashtorr and Abbadon come to face him, he knows he's physically outmatched so hereveals a trump card to deal with them; a mind controlled Jhagatai Khan.

Gives GW a reason to make models for Vect & Khan and sets up a story for the White Scars.

Looking more into recent Rogue Trader stuff, I see that TheGamer whined in the past week about the game not having enough gay shit, as per usual.

For your further amusement, here are a couple of giant reddit threads talking about this interview article, CRPG romance, and gay shit:

A story reserved for at least a decade down the road. Leman Russ will obviously be the next loyalist primarch to return, and even with him aside, there are still plenty of other priorities over the Khan. Both the Imperial Fists and Salamanders are much more popular than White Scars, and I can even imagine GW coming up with some way for Sanguinius to return before the Khan.

Sorry to double post, but I have a genuine question.

Been absent for 10th Edition. I've heard Chaos Legionaries are pretty bleh this edition. How viable is the classic bolt pistol/chainsword build?

Looking at the data sheet with a chainsword a squad of 10 could throw 40 strength 4 ap -1 attacks at a squad and do quite a lot of damage. You could also give the champion and another member of the squad a heavy melee weapon which would be 3 attacks at strength 8 ap -2 and 2 wounds.
Put them in a rhino, channel the spirit of Hirohito and banzai whatever is on an objective you need that turn.

I just want to say, the computer I'm working on is named Project Whirlwind, like the rocket tank
SM_Space_Marine_Whirlwind.jpg
Probably gonna put battlefleet Gothic on it once it's fully running

Gladius is fun too, but you need mods to catch up to the AI's bullshit. First time playing it, I just built my third settlement and only had a couple Sisters of Battle squads, a Seraphim squad and a Celestian squad due to resource restrictions. Went a little bit south and came across the Tau who immediately declared war on me with their armada. They had somewhere in the ballpark of four Hammerhead tanks, four Piranhas, ten Fire Warrior squads, two Stealthsuit squads, and maybe some other units before turn 20. To say I got annihilated is an understatement. Tried a few more sessions without mods and even lowered the difficulty, but didn't fair any better.

My expectations were fucking low, I heard that we would get a character on stilts and I thought "So we are getting some kind of sicarian/pteraxii leader ok lame but usefull, or if were getting crazy maybe an Ironstrider character". But this, this is such fucking shit that I could not even consider it as an option. I have already seen high magnitude cope from people saying we will get more because they heard that there will be more necron models when Imotekh was previewd and they delude themselves into thinking that would apply to us newsflash retard you play admech you will get a dogshit 35 dollar character and you will be happy, the last one we got was the marshal who at least looks cool but he was the only model we got in 9th and they think we are getting anything more then this garbage.

The shooting profile is just depressing, the damned things name is skatros that really does just sum it up.
