So more blood bowl shit. Online pubby team just saw my Skaven team gained a +MV on one of the gutter runners, in addition to his +AG he already had. This is important because the board in bloodbowl from the touchline is 13 squares. A gunner's base MV is 9. And you can also take 2 GFI rolls (2+, if you fail, you fall over and roll for armor).
Which if you can do basic math, means you know I now have a piece that can almost score in one turn without any sort of push chain shenanigans. It falls one square short.
Then he leveled up again and I got the skill that lets him take a 3rd GFI in one turn.
God bless this rat.
I'd probably buy the box set since I sold the minis from the old one eons ago, but since I live in bumfuck nowhere, I'd never have anyone to actually play with, so digital adaption forever I suppose. Supposedly the boxed set contains a 50% voucher for the pc version too, which while nice, doesn't do much to offset how hideously expensive a box full of plastic miniatures is.
In other news, a sad, sad day for Strelok, as his Gorkamorka warband, Mad Mork's Motley Mob, met it's end. Mad Mork, who I may have previously mentioned had a rocket thruster surgically attached to his chest after a mad dokk's serjury went a bit.. funny, saw most of his boyz take a krumping during an skirmish over some scrap that turned into a chase down a narrow canyon road. Unfortunatly, the enemy warboss, instead of having car bits welded to him, had instead the ability to beat most things to death, and combined with one of my orks stikkbombs going off during a mele (because you can use the potato masher grenade as a bludgeon becuase orkz are kinda idiots), saw many of my crew brutally cut down, and both of our buggies irreprably damaged, because I had absolutely horrid post match rolls. The cost of building them back up was far greater than was worth it, so Mad Mork left his boyz to go into the deserts of Gorkamora to go kill a "buncha dem digga fings in da pyramids" to get scrap that way. Some saw you can still hear his cries of WAAAGH from them at night.
For those of you who use VASSAL,
here's the current 40k resources for it, which I was using. You need to know the rules youself mind you, but it's still really handy. Works for 40k proper or any 40k derivitave, except arguably Necromunda because it's 2d nature makes dealing with the 3d battlefields of necro really iffy.
