Talking about Genestealers... Do you guys think characters like Cultist-chan and Jeanstealers have aged quite badly? I anit saying they were always good but now it's kind of gone the way of awkward teen memories, but you know you cherish them.

Also Angry Marines and Fuklaw.

Age of Sigmar was supposedly supposed to serve two purposes. 1: jettison the unprofitable WHFB line (Which was unprofitable because in their infinite wisdom, GW left it to rot in favor of more space marine codexes), and 2: make something for younger audiences to get them hooked on crack, because GW still think's we're in the 1980s and children play games on a tabletop primarily while chuckling about how mom doesn't know they're playing the "devil games". Thus despite aiming at younger audiences, they kept the GW pricetags.

That's why not only was Slaanesh removed, but everything was made "more totally awesome" like fucking Sigmarines (because every 14 year old has a Space Marine fetish, so fantasy space marines are great right?) , and optional rules that involve prancing around the room like a retarded ape, getting rerolls by wearing a silly hat, and other garbage like that, as well as grossly simplified rules, although the last is at least a good idea for an introductory game.

However, in less disastrous business decision news, we've finally gotten a look at the new blood bowl set, and the quality is actually remarkably nice for a specalist game. Hopefully Battlefleet Gothic is next, Mordheim and Necromunda could probably just be released as rulebooks since they can just use standard models.

Sadly GW is still being GW, and not actually including all the models you'd need for a fully kitted team in the basic box.

Think so, but maybe there was a little bit of puritan "No tranny god for a kids game" approach in there too.

It really doesn't make any sense in either perspective. Slaaneshi armies still exist in Age of Sigmar, and now there are three types of them to choose from (Pretenders, Seekers, Invaders), which only gives players more lore options if they choose to follow Slaanesh. The Mounted Lord of Slaanesh is a guy riding around on a large phallic demon covered in human breasts. From a PR perspective, I really don't understand the removal of Slaanesh one bit.

A regiment of Roman Gladiators sounds soooo cool.
Must make one.

I completely agree with this. It was cool when /tg/ culture was at its highest, 1d4chan, etc, but its all sort of faded away now, and looking back, doesn't have the charm it had back then.

Don't know if this was mentioned already, but didn't they remove Slaanesh from Warhammer Fantasy because of butthurt tumblrists?
I don't believe it was for that reason, as mentioned, Slaaneshi armies and units are still present in the game, but it's just that Slaanesh itself has, lorewise, been defeated, which I have no problem with. That sort of talk was mostly from people thinking they were just going to squat her, when AoS first started.

What with the hard-on Forgeworld has for Krieg (mmmph that Imperial German aesthetic), why haven't they made a updated Ragnarok Tank? C'mon baby, SPACE Prussians with a KV-2.

What I want, is some Mordian Iron guard love. Prussian in SPACE!

Or how about some Bushmen of Serica?

(custom models, but still)

So more blood bowl shit. Online pubby team just saw my Skaven team gained a +MV on one of the gutter runners, in addition to his +AG he already had. This is important because the board in bloodbowl from the touchline is 13 squares. A gunner's base MV is 9. And you can also take 2 GFI rolls (2+, if you fail, you fall over and roll for armor).

Which if you can do basic math, means you know I now have a piece that can almost score in one turn without any sort of push chain shenanigans. It falls one square short.

Then he leveled up again and I got the skill that lets him take a 3rd GFI in one turn.

God bless this rat.

I'd probably buy the box set since I sold the minis from the old one eons ago, but since I live in bumfuck nowhere, I'd never have anyone to actually play with, so digital adaption forever I suppose. Supposedly the boxed set contains a 50% voucher for the pc version too, which while nice, doesn't do much to offset how hideously expensive a box full of plastic miniatures is.

In other news, a sad, sad day for Strelok, as his Gorkamorka warband, Mad Mork's Motley Mob, met it's end. Mad Mork, who I may have previously mentioned had a rocket thruster surgically attached to his chest after a mad dokk's serjury went a bit.. funny, saw most of his boyz take a krumping during an skirmish over some scrap that turned into a chase down a narrow canyon road. Unfortunatly, the enemy warboss, instead of having car bits welded to him, had instead the ability to beat most things to death, and combined with one of my orks stikkbombs going off during a mele (because you can use the potato masher grenade as a bludgeon becuase orkz are kinda idiots), saw many of my crew brutally cut down, and both of our buggies irreprably damaged, because I had absolutely horrid post match rolls. The cost of building them back up was far greater than was worth it, so Mad Mork left his boyz to go into the deserts of Gorkamora to go kill a "buncha dem digga fings in da pyramids" to get scrap that way. Some saw you can still hear his cries of WAAAGH from them at night.

For those of you who use VASSAL, here's the current 40k resources for it, which I was using. You need to know the rules youself mind you, but it's still really handy. Works for 40k proper or any 40k derivitave, except arguably Necromunda because it's 2d nature makes dealing with the 3d battlefields of necro really iffy.

I'd adore it if they got back to just doing the more interesting guard factions in general. Krieg is the absolute best, but it's been so long since I've seen anything mentioning the Vostroyan Firstborn.

Also, since I've already posted one massive image, has anyone else heard about the iffy leak that's been going around recently? There's been a big Fenris campaign going down in a book series, and it's likely going to get some special models with it, apparently, some guy went around and dug through GWs trash, and found this little gem, suggesting what many people have thought for a long time, that they're bringing primarchs back to 40k, thoughts?

If it's real, this should be interesting especially if the Loyalists get their Primarchs back, but severely weakened.

As a side-note, considering what we've learned about the Primarch Project, Daemon Primarch seems...kinda redundant.

People are expecting that the Imperials are at least getting Russ and Lion back, there's been talk that the primach lineup is going to be Lion, Russ, and Guilliman, and some other primarch. And the Traitors getting the main cult legion primarchs, Magnus, Moratorian, Angron, and Fulgrim. There's also been the idea tossed around in leak forums that they're going to reorganize the cult legions as seperate armies from Chaos entirely, judging by the mark on that box saying 'Thousand Sons' instead of CSM. Honestly I'm enjoying the hype and speculation, but GW has at least been shaking things up lately.

Don't care for it, since it focuses more on a section of 40k that IMO is over represented anyway. Give me a full mechanicus roster, an updated Sororitas roster, or sets of revised non-cadian IG stuff, like these bastards:

Besides, Alfabusa's probably doing it better considering how GeeDubz does stuff like retconning.
