The issue is you have the wokies bragging about this change who dont have models but then flipping the script you have the other side who looked at 40k as this based alt right scifi who also dont paint any models. 40k has been brought to the culture war in the worse regards and you see it in this thread with all these guys coming into it now with the recent happenings. You saw this the most with Primaris Marines this place hates them, and especially 4chan hates them yet...when you looked at the actual hobby threads what is the majority of space marines and marine armies posted? Primaris marines it boils down to lore only people getting pissed screaming they will 3D print but never really do much.

I remember a ton of love for everything related to the clone wars that wasn't the actual movie. Was also a good period of time for videogames with the Jedi Academy games, KOTOR and Unleashed. It was still a living brand and even managed to get some coin out of the prequels.

But Psykers have several times been able to just ignore or overpower blanks. Hell it took an entire bunker full of SOS just to take down Malcador a peg. But it is black library slop so take it as you will.

Most love for the Clone wars was either the 2D and CGI series (an only passed S1 and the awful CGI movie), as for the games none of ever touched the main SW canon, it was either side stuff or what if stuff and then the EU managed to shit itself a plenty (Palpy havinh clones before Disney made it cool). But, far as movies went? SW was a flash in pan thing, an you could never make anythin grander than the original 3 movies, youd either get badly written clusterfuck prequels or fanfiction level writing. Its the same shit as Ghostbusters.

youre mixing quality with if people would be willing to watch it or try to watch it. a brand isnt dead just because you decided the movies are in a dead era to you personally.

... Now I see why people rate you trash out of instinct you goalpost moving faggot... Star Wars as a brand is EVERYTHING, not just the 6 movies of the Lucas era. That shit? Was a huge franchise that was operating on multiple cylinders. Boys in the early 2000s very much knew what Star Wars was and loved it, hell, I was more invested in Star Wars thanks to incidental media like Droids, or the SNES Star Wars games than because I had a particular adoration for the original 3 films.

Boys today barely see the appeal of Star Wars as a whole, if that isn't a fucking testament on how badly the brand has been mismanaged since Disney got it, I don't know what is.
 
The real thing is the wokies only have to succeed once to ruin a hobby.

We have to successfully fight them off every single time, forever, to keep them out.

I don't know the solution to this other than just walking away when they do it and letting the hobbies they infest crash and burn.

During the prequel era, the only thing that worked fo SW were the games and the Clone Wars cartoon. Thats it, outside of these things, this whole franchise was seen as a huge joke, because nobody knew what to do with it.
 
Primaris Marines were an incredibly autistic attempt at forcing people to buy more shit solely for their new guns, tbh. But did we actually need to have 2 or 3 different versions of "Marines with jetpacks?"

One hobby I am heavily invested in is retro computing and games. They cannot infect those. The best they can do is corrupt emulator projects but as long as they are open source, I can make my TTD fork of that project and remove the political shit.
