Gib me a Flesh Tearers style Psycho-Psanguinius and I might be appeased.

People are expecting that the Imperials are at least getting Russ and Lion back, there's been talk that the primach lineup is going to be Lion, Russ, and Guilliman, and some other primarch. And the Traitors getting the main cult legion primarchs, Magnus, Moratorian, Angron, and Fulgrim. There's also been the idea tossed around in leak forums that they're going to reorganize the cult legions as seperate armies from Chaos entirely, judging by the mark on that box saying 'Thousand Sons' instead of CSM. Honestly I'm enjoying the hype and speculation, but GW has at least been shaking things up lately.

Loyalist Primarchs:

The ones still alive but "lost":
Leman Russ
Corax
Jaghatai Khan

Semi dead but could be revived:
Lion El Johnson
Guilliman
Vulkan

Confirmed dead for good:
Ferrus Manus
Dorn
Sanguinius

Traitor Primarchs:

Daemon Primarchs:
Fulgrim
Angron
Magnus
Mortarion
Perturabo
Lorgar

Unknown, these never existed, nothing to see here:
Alpharius
Omegon

Confirmed dead for good:
Konrad Curze
Horus

Both sides got 6 primarchs they could eventually bring out.

Isn't the Lion just sleeping in tbe Rock?

If you read some Gav Thorpe older books (hahahahahahaha I know right?), he pretty much alludes to the fact that the Lion is a morbid bitch and is self imprisoning himself in the Rock to repent.

Idk if that's for real, but it fits his somber ass perfectly.

any thought of making a model of that?

Just converting a 1:48 KV-2 kit of some sort should do the job.

If either of the Unknown Primarchs survived their Legions's purges, they could join either side, really.

I thought they retconned Dorn into them just finding one of his hands?
Also, Alpharius is probably dead as hell considering one of the Horus Heresy novels has Dorn kick his head in; Omegon is still around though.

What did the Blood Angels do before Astorath came around? Just had their High Chaplain follow the Death Company of the mother chapter around and leave the successors to fend for themselves?

The scans don't specify, but are they only fieldable in 30k armies?
I think these are capable of being fielded as their own armies or as a allied detachment.

Having not played 40K since 2nd Edition (I still have that first Tyranid Codex), the recent addition of the Genestealer Cult as a legitimate army has made me interested in it once again. That said, I've watched a few battle reports on YouTube and it mostly seems like a couple of autistic guys having having constant nit-picking rules arguments. It's like every goddam turn something pops up that crashes the game and forces people to dig through their corresponding Codices. Is that really what modern 40K plays like?

Oh man, they gotta bring back Leman Russ, so I can put him IN a Leman Russ, then I can finally battle Xibit and his pimped out grey knights.

I've not played for a while either but it's always been like that, if you play with rule lawyers you're going to have a bad time, the enjoyment of these games really depends on who you play with.

I've been buying the last few White Dwarf's (They went back the old format with battle reports, army of the month, new rules and kind of thing instead of just being a glorified catalogue) and the Genestealer Cult was featured last month and it has some involved rules with units going back into reserves and special infiltration so that might have held the game up learning the new rules?

From what I understand each army has its own randomly selected mission objective too and one game mode called Maelstrom of War has a new objective each turn so maybe they were playing that?

Rhino or Gavin?

So I haven't posted any minis in a while so here's (a bad picture of) my Leviathan Pattern Dreadnought:
IMAG0067.jpg

Also, I got given some random minis by somebody who was attic clearing which included a pair of Epic 40k Baneswords so I stripped them and tried out my colour shceme for the upcoming Epic re-release then seethed with righteous fury when I found out that GW changed the scale and these'll look comically undersized next to the new ones. Ah well, she's a pretty little beast anyway.

Looks great, nice weathering but you seem to have inadvertently painted it as the worst chapter, easy mistake to make.

Really hope they bring back the full scale epic 40k rather than sticking at Legius Titanicus.

Finally this is my current project, a Kill-Krusha super-heavy tank converted from a Land Raider Redemer, WIP:

That's a very cool conversion there, plasticard sculpting is something I haven't yet mastered enough to show off so kudos. By your logic you need to paint the Land Raider blue as only the worst chapter would lose something as valuable as a land raider to a bunch on unwashed halfwits like orks. Also theres room for at least 3 pintle mounted weapons on that rear deck and at least two turrets on the roof, you haven't got anywhere near enough dakka.

EDIT As for Epic 40K, they are brining full scale epic back BUT theyre changing the scale from 6mm to 8 mm ostensibly to add more detail to the ground troops but more likely so everybodys 6mm armies won't be tournament legal anymore and everyone has to buy new stuff.

Finally, i'll be able to paint a squad of orks in less than a month!

w00t I finished Ol' Rusty. She's finally ready to purge some Xenos. Particularly Orks because only admittedly very talented scratchbuilding and modding losers play Orks. Now I'm moving towards finishing Baneblade 'Vengeance of Angels".

More news about Blood Bowl It's coming out the 28th with preorders the 15th. Price for the boxed set is rumored at $80 (leaked MSRP recommendation to third party stores) for GW, reasonable considering it comes with 24 miniatures, a board, range ruler, dice, cards, score counter chits, and a rulebook. Especially since something boardgameish like Twilight Struggle retails at $65.

The main team sets are plastic snap together, but star players and Big Guys are going to be forge world resin. Either way is good as the snap togethers apparently hide their juncture points remarkably well, and of course a thin undercoat is all you need to paint them as normal.

Anyway here's the contents of the box. Unpainted of course.

I have a buddy who runs the local GW and he has promised me faithfully that in the UK Blood Bowl will retail for £65.
