Warhammer 40k

Forgive me if this has already been posted, but Jesus Christ, seeing QuarterPounder trying to pretend he totally 100% knows what he's talking about as he tries to grift off of this shit is genuinely embarrassing.

"I could open up a Warhammer wiki or go to the Official Warhammer Website, but I'll just go with what I've gleaned from half paying attention to other grifters streams."

He really is a grifter and no better than twitch streamer niggers getting into 40k only to pay someone to paint their models and meta chase for paypig bucks on a niche market.

This is even funnier because years ago when his grift just started taking off and he had a falling out with MtG he bought the Dark Millenium box set and put it behind him in his videos. It was some big symbol of him moving on to other games and getting into Warhammer. I'll be surprised if he ever opened it, nevermind read a single page of the rulebook.
It truly boggles my mind that this grifting fuck still has an audience.

At least those guys actually engage with the miniature side of things. This idiot got involved only for clicks.

Once again, any time you hear one of these morons talk like 40K canon is some kind of sacred thing being violated by the Left, you can tell they don't know Warhammer, since Warhammer explicitly does not have a canon.

Oh no!! I am so sorry...I know a couple of the painters on youtube I have watched recently have mentioned being red-green colorblind, if I am remembering correctly. I will try and sift through my recent watches and see if I can find their channels again so I can give you their names. Maybe you can harness it for your benefit by selecting paint schemes that look good to your eyes, but is so wildly different than anything someone with fullcolor vision might create, and it ends up looking really unique and awesome because of it.
I think it was midwinter minis if I'm remembering correctly. He said it in passing. F it I'm just going to buy the nids v Ultramarines starter set.

In other words, he bought a prop for his set to grift with.

This is the thing with grifters. Unless you actually see them DOING something with regard to what they're talking about, assume they have no involvement in it. Nick Rekeita was mentioned a while back as having a bunch of books sitting on a shelf. Yeah, those are also props. Doesn't mean he read the things. Someone else I think Grummz supposedly has a couple armies... has he ever mentioned anything in detail about 40k or just made vague statements?

Us posting pictures of minis here probably isn't the best idea since that would be identifiable. But for someone already posting their face constantly on youtube? It shouldn't matter. lets look at another grifter, itsagundam. Guy grifts just like the rest on his main channel. But he's got another channel where he actually puts together gundam kits, you can see him painting and airbrushing at times, and the finished kits. He doesn't grift about gundam. Also has a full stormtrooper costume, he's a star wars fan and doesn't really grift about it so much as just complain about it(but who doesn't). Now the rest of the shit he talks about? Grift. Although he posts a couple times a week instead of 3-6 times a day.

Those people at least participate, have an idea of wtf is going on, understand what they're doing, etc. And if you're talking about the channels that have basically made a career out of it... Tabletop tactics, tabletop titans, vanguard tactics, art of war, etc.

first: These channels usually have a small number of people they're willing to put on camera. 3-5 or so?
second: Even with 7 or 8 people, you can't just have the same matchups constantly. Those people need multiple armies to be playing to get views
third: If you figure 4 people, needing 5 armies each, have to keep up with the new models, and yes are expected to be playing lists resembling whatever the meta is(otherwise they're not going to get the views) at least a significant part of the time, then yeah there would be no time to actually sit and paint the stuff on their own especially if they've got day jobs or even a family.

Now I'm not sure what other types of people you could be referring to on stream and playing, but if it is those kinds of channels, don't act like a mindless grifter and apply some critical thinking to the situation. You don't have to agree with it, or even tolerate it, but at least use some sense.

Check out this work in progress "Abbadon with helmet" mod. He looks so much cooler with a nice longtusk Terminator helmet.

got loads left to do on this guy, from edge highlighting metallics to preparing the (hopefully not too complicated) wet-fading on the pallet for when I am ready to finish that sword. I tried to make all of the Icons appear as though they were glowing a soft red, so there must now be a small light source inside each one of the center of each or the eyes or wherever makes sense. The fur will cover up the left pauldron and its Icon, so I did nothing with that one. I did an Eye of Horus on the right. All other Icons on the model (boots, glove, skull rack thingy) have a dull red glow provided by Spiritsone Red technical.

I am really proud of how good that helmet addition turned out. I had to get in there and clip off parts of the sculpt so dramatically I was worried it might not work but it fits like a glove. Also I am just now noticing I didn't drill out his two glove gun barrels.

I decided not to do the tedious Black Legion "inner-panel edge highlights" of incubi darkness/dark blue leading into fenrisian grey/light blue, just because I actually don't care for the way those look (think any box art depicting black colored Chaos Marines). I prefer a much darker jet black armor on these guys, and just leave the edge highlighting and armor panel blending to the red chaos marines. This one will have all of those red glowing effects to make him stand out anyway.
It’s really comical how much more impressive Abby becomes when he doesn’t have the gay topknot.

The knots are good on helmets, on bare heads? I chop that shit, fucking Cthonian pig-dogs.

This is just a guess, but bear with me; I think the reason why they want female Marines and Custodes is because the Sisters of Battle are too close to the Imperium's backwards, retrograde religion that the SJWs obviously despise for it being Space Catholicism, and the Sisters of Silence specialize in hunting psykers which limits their story potential. They want female power-armored heroes who aren't restricted to just hunting down enemy psychics or aren't protecting some religion that the SJWs would obviously hate. Especially when the Space Marines like the Ultramarines are sometimes depicted as more ''reasonable'' in their reverence for the Emperor, not seeing him as a god.

If you're the kind of person who wants to satirize religion, you'd want a heroine who isn't tied down to the Imperial cult, and who isn't just restricted to hunting down enemy psykers. And of course, they'd ignore female Inquisitors, IG, or Rogue Traders, since they're not augmented humans and are therefore, not as important.

This is the thing with grifters. Unless you actually see them DOING something with regard to what they're talking about, assume they have no involvement in it. That's the problem with these grifters. They don't know shit about how Warhammer works, they just shove in their opinions and act like Warhammer 40K had some kind of solid lore or canon that has lasted since forever, not knowing that Warhammer explicitly has no canon according to Games Workshop, or that changes like 3rd Edition or the Primaris shook up the lore more than female Custodes ever did.

Prior to 3rd Edition, half-Eldar bastards were welcome in the Space Marines, then all of a sudden, they were retconned out of existence, and most Imperials shoot Eldar on sight like they would any other alien. Then the Primaris come along in 8th Edition, with the Primaris Marines just forced into the Space Marine chapters despite being trained in Mars. That is a massive betrayal to how Space Marines work from 3rd-7th Edition where they were exclusive warrior cults that only let people in after training them and getting to know them in a process that would take years on end. They wouldn't just let randos from Mars join their chapters. Especially if it's on the orders of a dead Primarch who was revived by Eldar aliens-they'd consider him an alien puppet trying to infiltrate their chapters and raise the flag of revolt.

The Fem-Custodes are a drastic change, it's stupid, and I'd rather have more emphasis be placed on the Sisters of Silence instead, maybe make a show around them hunting down different types of dangerous psykers, but it's nowhere near as radical as changing how the Space Marines take in recruits or how they viewed half-aliens. One could just add the word ''daughters'' to the sentence that says ''the Custodes were taken from the infant sons of Terran nobility'' and call it a day. Yes, it's a bullshit retcon, but nowhere near as radical as past retcons to how Space Marines initiated people into their ranks or how they treated xenos. Especially when the Custodes aren't like the Space Marines whose geneseed templates were based on male Primarchs.

Those people at least participate, have an idea of wtf is going on, understand what they're doing, etc. And if you're talking about the channels that have basically made a career out of it... Tabletop tactics, tabletop titans, vanguard tactics, art of war, etc.
Some of the channels that have accepted female Custodes like Discourse Miniatures or Majorkill have more of an idea how 40K works than most of these grifters or Arch. At least they actually know the fucking hobby, instead of just reading fucking wiki pages or grifting for the sake of cheap clicks.

You’re over thinking it. They want female space marines because they just want to destroy something everyone else enjoys.

They will get their enjoyment from their power trip when it happens, then they will move on to destroy something else.

This recent stuff from GW inspired me to go to my local game store and see if they run games of other systems, and I'm going to be trying D&D for the first time next week. It might seem like a stupid reason for stoppping warhammer but after more than 20 years in the hobby it's probably time to try something new anyway.

D&D is worse off than 40k.

I hope you like Covid masks, troons, and soulless LA voice actors living in the best economy ever.

Those are the only 2 options at the local game store here ha. The crowd in there has always seemed pretty normal when I've been in so hopefully will be alright.

D&D is so pozzed that selling it to the Chinese would actually improve its changes of getting back on track to pleasing players.

That, and they want to put 40K back on track of being a satire against right-wingers. Can't have that if your STRONG INDEPENDENT FEMALE is a devout servant of the Emperor, defending his Church or hunting down rogue Psykers in his name. No, it'll be a female Space Marine whose reverence for the Emperor is more subdued and ''rational'' than what the Sisters of Battle or Black Templars preach.
