I have an issue where there's not a single 40k faction I couldn't see myself collecting, so Kill Team in theory would be great for me. But boy howdy they don't make it appealing to collect. After ignoring Specialist Games forever it's weird seeing Necromunda and KT get... I won't say
support, but, releases?
$60-75 USD for a single squad and what, an upgrade sprue, maybe? Are they not even shoving mandatory terrain in the boxes anymore? And they keep releasing new big box kits, does that mean there are new rulebooks and campaignbooks and the like you have to keep up with, or are the big box sets just some intro terrain + 2 small KTs?
Necromunda's not much better, it's gone from "hey here's a campaign style game where you build up a squad of one of like 5 themed gangs -- meathead jocks, 80s club girls, spy guys, etc etc, get ready to kitbash the hell out of your unique force" to "hey buy this special spankywanky bike squad that only one of the gangs get so you can get one over on your opponent, they're about to buy the donkeywonkey robots and totally pwn you otherwise."
I don't wanna say there's a problem -- like some of the shit I agree with, like adding the Arbites as a playable gang type. But then I look on the GW site and there are over 200 SKUs for Necromunda and uh,
what.
To say nothing about the rulebooks. There's what, $300 worth of just rulebooks you have to buy now? Main rulebook, then the book of the X, then the house of the Y... And based on GW, we're a year or 3 out from a new edition that will invalidate all of it...
