I'm looking forward to seeing what EC when released. My only hope is they ease of the detail for details sake like the did with death guard which put me off painting my guys for the longest time. Pic above is a nice sweet spot imo.

Someone on reddit took the B&W helmet renders, and the previously shown pauldron renders from the other week and colored them in. Still no telling what he torsos might end up looking like, but probably not going to be on par with DG just needing every surface covered in something.

The EC have something that the Death Guard didn’t, the approach of taking each….. aesthetic the EC have (grand, noise, mutilated, mutated, sex) and seemingly giving it a dedicated unit.

EC are getting a legionary kit, Noise marine squad and Palatine Blades, allegedly. That cleverly would give all the aesthetic demands people want and not painting the whole legion with the Reddit aesthetic (Nurglings+fat+jolly and silly) it’s the right approach and shuts everyone up whole avoiding the WE pitfall.

If GW had sense, they’d do a Death Guard kill team in the style of the Vraks plague marines (MKIV) and just call them “exalted” plague marines, boom, watch as people rebuy their army.

Even with a dedicated detachment Kroot still need mechs to do anything. There isn't enough AP in the roster for them to do damage consistently. Not to mention they are still insanely squishy. Even the beefiest of Kroot only have a 5+ save. The hounds and carnivores have stealth which isn't the benefit GW thinks it is when the game is filled with +1 bonuses, torrent, re-rolls, or straight up ignoring hit modifiers. Being T3 also means nearly everything is wounding you on 3s.

GW didn't even expand the roster in any meaningful way. We got three kroot leaders that are all fighting over who gets to lead a unit of carnivores, and no Great Knarloc. I actually like Kroot but fucks sake they really couldn't come up with anything new besides Kroot riding a lizard?

I'm just saying in a year when we hear something akin to "well they were always going to have to add Female Space Marines eventually, It's current year, and to be fair Slannesh making some of the Emperor's Children female / Bile taking Cawl's secret Female Space Marines research and implementing it is the most lore accurate thing ever" I want it to be known I called it

While I agree that troons are an encroaching problem that need to buy some rope at the hardware store rather than anything Warhammer related, I do feel you're making a mountain out of a ant hill here. EC use purple, while Slaanesh uses pink, purple and black. Also if GW puts a troon in the legion where rape would be on the lower scale of their debauchery, I would find it really REALLY funny.

Plus, you gotta remember how EC are the most blatantly lust-fuelled, perverse legion. I can think of numerous instances of these goobers getting a woman in their eye and pursuing with insane laser-focus. Point being, they won’t use these silly boys as political-fagging, the blowup would be monumental. They’ll get the initial launch and that’ll be it, the rest of the range will be CSM vehicles and Slaanesh demons. Like the Kroot and WE, they’re an early-year “new army”.

EC are the ones you can count on them not pulling this shit because of how perfected these guys are.

I'm actually confused as to why they wouldn't troon out the Emperor's Children. After all, they've said multiple times that all sides are evil in 40K, so it shouldn't be much of a problem to have either the EC or the loyalists have female marines.

But in actuality, from a lore perspective, the EC should have been the first to have Female Space Marines. After all, their patron deity Slaanesh has female and male characteristics. So I can imagine some folks in the EC would have experimented with the powers of genetic manipulation and Chaos to create gene-seed that would work on women, so they could create female Space Marines to honor their spiritual liege, who has male AND female characteristics.

That, and I can imagine them fucking regular women who happen to be their sex slaves, and these women break apart after getting raped for the 100th time, so they'd probably create female Chaos Marines who have more endurance for such activities.

Female EC Chaos Marines that do well in battle get their cadre of male slaves to satisfy their lusts, while the ones that don't do well, or the ones who fail spectacularly, are enslaved as comfort women for the male Chaos Marines, and Slaanesh wins either way, because he is satisfied by both.

The Imperium of Man is supposed to be regressively traditionalist. As in, they will not make female Space Marines even if they could, at least if they're written to be consistent with the lore that's already come before. The Emperor never made Female Astartes, and neither should the Imperium, because they worship the Emperor as a god and see everything he's done as perfect.

It's like how Catholicism has no female priests/bishops/cardinals because Jesus Christ didn't have female Apostles. The Emperor occupies a similar position in the Imperium's religion, being their human god-king, and so, they should approach the Emperor's work with the same veneration for tradition and purpose.

But let's not kid ourselves, they probably will make the female Astartes into loyalists, because at the end of the day, the loyalist Astartes are the main characters. The Chaos Marines are just their dark foils. The latter will always play second banana to the former. So of course, either they will make female Astartes for both sides, or they'll make the loyalist female Astartes first.

The Emperor’s Children approach to Slaanesh worship is deliberately gender-exclusionary, they are his greatest servants, they are through which perfection is manifested, Slaanesh must be like them. Even a single denomination like Catholicism can have many sub-groups under it, like the Franciscans, the Cistercians, the Dominicans, the Augustinians, the Jesuits, and so on.

But.......they literally are. They partake of sex acts seen by the rest of the world as non-traditional and perverse. That, and wouldn't it fit their character to empower slutty behavior? Isn't the whole LGBTQ movement about taking things that the world saw as perverse and being proud of it, hence why it's called the Pride movement.

But isn't the Imperium the yucky evil traditionalist religious faction that they keep telling us are evil Nazis that we're supposed to hate? Also, it's less justifiable, since the Emperor never made female marines, so even if the Imperium can make female marines, they probably won't, out of respect for the Emperor's tradition. Which, like I said, is like Catholicism having no female priests because Jesus never had female Apostles.

It's kind of funny, since these fools keep telling us that we're supposed to hate the Imperium, yet they want female Space Marines who are obviously going to be the good guys to be in said Imperium.

I was reading on /tg/ a while back that things were not looking as promised with Trench Crusade. It's either been co-opted by troons, or they were always troons that hid themselves well. Personally I hope it's the latter as I had no intentions of playing, but I understand how this degeneracy has upset some people. In the end I really hope that troons just go all in with this game, and leave 40k for the rest of us.

Correct me if the picture that's not loading for me accounts for this, but biles creations are not space Marines. They are More like humans augmented as much as possible to be similar. But still only half as strong at best. They're only real advantage is the ability to reproduce. You could theoretically outfit a gaggle of female newmen or gland hounds, but at best they probably would be on the same level as sisters of battle without the experience or zeal.



Also I've noticed they have taken great care not to illustrate what the new men look like. Everything on image search is fan made. The image above I think is the most accurate depiction.

One of the more interesting lore aspects is bile just randomly seeding them wherever he goes. Almost like Gene stealers in a way. Although I don't think they are mentally conditioned.

Edit: huh they are gene coded to be loyal to bile but that's about it. From further reading one of them actually seems to have became a loyalist planetary governor. The main issue they seem to have if reddit is to be believed is a fundamental inability to create and innovate. They almost seem like smarter fallout super mutants in a way.

During the Great Crusade, the legions recruited from multiple worlds, including regions of Terra. Ultramarines also recruit from all 500 worlds of Ultramar.

Exactly. The Legions/Chapters THEMSELVES recruited the men. They weren't just handed finished Space Marines from some rando in Mars. The Legions, and later on the Chapters, would scour space for the men they need. Then they would train these men over the years, before they were finally given the geneseeds and armor. Hence why the Primaris Marines made no fucking sense, because they were already trained on Mars and were just handed off as a finished product to the Chapters.

It seems that you didn't get my point, or understand at all what I was saying.
