Daemon fulgrim looks really fucking sick, and Im absolutely chuffed thinking about the EC release next year. I might actually have to get and paint the primarchs now, Ive been putting them off because Im not really the biggest primarch fan.

As for the HH forge world NuFulgrim and his brittle ass wings, its really easy to either magnetize his wings for easy moving, or use thin copper/bronze wire to make the connecting points much stronger. Just make sure you dont skimp on the magnets, or youll regret it.

They re-retconned Female Custodes away in the new book by Guy Haley and Gav Thorpe. Specifically calls the Custodes a brotherhood and male, removing the gender-neutral language added in the 10th Codex and replacing it with the male specific terms used before the retcon.

Does it mean it's gone for good? Probably not. But it's amusing to think of the reaction if GW did go ahead and undo it in 11th, isn't it?
To think the 10th Codex rewrite and that xitter stunt was such a shitstorm they had to course correct by retconning the Custodes back to being a brotherhood. One of the GW moments of all time.

I read Devil’s Trappings, the Marines Malevolent short story, reaffirming my belief that one of them should’ve been the space marine companion for Rogue Trader, these guys would fit that game’s writing perfectly. Plus it would make sense that the marine is getting out close-combated by an old man.

@Sargon's wife's son, my faction is getting a new range and the Custodes will never be all male again, fag enjoy your trannies.

No one actually plays custodians they're not a good army I play imperial guard and you're gay
48% win rate for the entirety of the pariah nexus season isn't amazing, but it's fine. There's more people playing custodes than GSC, SW, dark eldar, votann, DW(lol), admech, GK, BT, and chaos knights. There's damn near as many custodes players as there are codex complaint space marine chapter players. People play it because other than the FW models(which you can get recast elsewhere or just 3d print the things) the army is cheap with a lower model count than a lot of others.

Stop being a fucking retard

That book wasn't written by the same team, and was originally advertised months ago(back in July). Meaning it was likely written before the custodes codex. Really, it doesn't mean shit.
My thinking as well. Game Workshop does not have a lore bible or anyone responsible for lore consistency cross their various departments. An example off the top of my head is SoBs Repentia having plug points on their body despite the lore being that SoBs don't have the black carapace and so they'd have nothing to plug into.
This was likely written before the retcon, and no one cared or was responsible for updating it.

He did, but he had a black library book come out just a month ago(the votann one, high khals oath or whatever). A lot of these authors bounce between companies for work without needing to have an exclusivity deal. ADB has had an ongoing series outside of black library for basically a decade. Dan Abnett has written Doctor Who and other shit as well including a short story for League of Legends of all things.
I think Black Library just contracts out the books. The authors are just mercenaries not full time employees. So they get to branch out.

Definitely. They've got a stable of regular authors they contract to, and sometimes even the better ones just basically write whatever they're told to as mercenary authors(like Indomitus, I think Gav Thorpe wrote that trash pile?), but they definitely aren't exclusive writers. Simple enough to include in the contract that you can't talk about a new book till the corporate office decides to announce a new one, and only an idiot author would make a serious leak and risk what is basically a reliable gig just for internet points.

That's a feature not a bug. Fuck canon. Canon shot killed all my homies. Let a million meltabombs bloom.

I like the lore from the books with their sisters of silence balancing them out… I was going to get the new patrol box and would have a full Custodes army (just have the old patrol box with SoS) but they made femstodes and turned me off. Plus SoS are largely useless in tabletop

If I do get back into full 40k it’ll probably just be a Night Lords army but chaos on the tabletop feels so bland unless you’re taking daemons or Abaddon. So probably just shifting into Epic HH or just HH.

Releasing the 30k Fulgrim really stole the thunder of the plastic model. It's great, but I like the 30K one more.

On the custodes thing, I will believe it's retconned if the next Custodes codex has the old wordimg. Till then it's pure gray.

Also, any rumours on when tje Eldar releases will come out? I want that Warp Spider Phoenix Lord.

The only positive thing to come out of custodes is all the blinged out bits I’ve pilfered for my EC, Allarus Terminators in particular are a much cheaper alternative for an EC praetor.

Stay away from epic HH, that system has “to be discontinued” written all over it.

even has Kharn in it.
Eh, I prefered it when Kharn was at least semi-lucid, if not just 30k Kharn as a whole (I haven't really touched anything 30k too much yet but I do read snippets and summaries from time to time just to at least try to keep up with the lore). But when he goes off in that book I hope it's hard as fuck like this:
The real question is who would play John Grammaticus????????
I do know of THIS FUCKER and I know him too well. TJGD.

It's amazing how every time I see you post you're either incomprehensibly retarded or pretty alright with no in-between.

Amazing, I'll add that to my list of things to read soon. I'll take them over a fucking Space Wolf in most situations, let alone Rogue Trader. I swear they're one of the most perfectly fitting chapter in "the grim darkness of the far future" that is Warhammer.

It feels like the titanicus or the airborne game just lumped in to sell ranges people didn’t buy. It just appeals to me on a visceral level just because of how huge I was into micro machines as a kid

I think he’s talking about “Shroud of Night” not “Harrowmaster” because in Shroud, Kharn is more like Mr X or Nemesis, he’s an unstoppable pursuer and is only there to fight, he doesn’t care about the WE chaos lord, the Alphas, the EC scheme, the beacon or the Imperial Fists, he’s just there to party. It’s one of the best depictions of 40k Kharn, he even gets a Doomguy-style suit up. Like if you put “X Gon Give it to Ya” over his scene where he meets the Alpha Legion protags it would fit.

Devil’s Trappings was surprisingly good (and hilarious) they talk to each other like an Xbox 360 lobby and it’s very obvious that GW uses them to recapture the Rogue Trader-era space marines, that’s what the MM really are, it’s also the meta reason why the use old gear and are usually represented by a beakie.

I'm currently completing my first playthrough of Space Marine 2 and while I'm enjoying it the way they unceremoniously introduced the Thousand Sons without any real build up bugs me. Another thing that has me is out of all chaos factions to put in a long Tyranids they pick the most psychic heavy faction of all. Why not carry on with the khorne theme from the first game or even Alpha Legion?
I know Alpha Legion make use of daemons and psykers but it makes more sense then TS not being effected in any way by the by the Tyranids at all.

That is exactly what it is. No one was buying or playing either hardly, so lump them together and add space Marines and people bought in. Of course it also means half the aeronautica imperialis models didn't make it over because they don't want tau, eldar, orks, and necrons in a HH game. Since most of it is just simplified smaller versions of the HH stuff now, that's probably how they justify it. I do wonder if epic 40k would have actually done better than epic 30k just by having more faction variety in it.
