I backed the project before I was aware of any of the drama or stupidity surrounding it. Can confirm there's been a lot of fuckery. If you want a more detailed timeline of how shit went sideways, I've posted about it a lot in the Tabletop Community Watch thread, but the long and short of it is that TC have made bad choices at virtually every step of the process. They chose to go with Only-Games despite multiple people warning them about their uneven print quality and bipolar customer service, and Only-Games has repaid their trust by repeatedly fucking up their delivery timeline and screwing over a bunch of the whales who went all in and have received orders that were missing stuff or came with broken, badly printed, or incorrect miniatures. Same goes for the book; their printer screwed them, causing a delay in the books that now means North American backers will be waiting until at least February and probably longer for delivery to be completed. Couple all that with their Discord troubles and inability to actually operate like a business, and I don't see them lasting long even though they're now putting out plastics.Yeah I saw the Trench Crusade video and wanted to come here to see if anyone could corroborate what was said about resin traps and delayed kickstarter claims made in that video. Like I mentioned above I have been out of wargaming for a bit and have been catching myself up. They apparently made plastics which seems like a good thing, no? I certainly didn't back because I think 3D prints aren't worth the pocket change they are printed from for a variety of reasons. I know Trench Crusade obviously had a lot of other "whoopsies" they did even back a year ago and was wondering if they ever improved the rules beyond "mordheim but boring"?
Speaking of, even that's pissed people off, because they confirmed that they'd be dropping STLs almost entirely with the move to plastic, so all the 3D-printing hobbyists who got into TC because of their STL-first approach are upset.
